| How early do women start there periods. Posted: 5/2/2008 7:58:04 PM | The only one I ever knew of who had to be "checked out" was one who was molested by her dad.
Aside from that, if there is no reason, eg. pain, spotting, etc.., I never heard of one who had to be "checked out".
Good luck!

| How early do women start there periods. Posted: 5/2/2008 8:08:30 PM | | Around nine or ten is a good age to take her to a GYN and make sure it is a female one. This will give her a chance to find out information about her body, what to expect and ask any questions she might have. She doesn't necessarily have to have a physical examination but an office visit for talking with a doctor. This is especially helpful if a female child is distance or unable to talk to mom about this type of stuff. Also gives the daughter a chance to ask questions about boy stuff too. | |

I am assuming by this thread your a single dad. So I would recommend speaking to your daughter about it, let her know that it's natural and tell her what she needs to do when it happens. You know: those women supplies that needs to be bought, etc. This is so, when she receives it she won't be freaked. | |
