| ADMIN - Can't view profiles - registration page appears instead of profile
Posted: 4/27/2008 10:05:17 AM | I do not know if this can help... But the problem seems to be occuring when I do the following path...
1- Go to the POF site.
2- Go to my profile and enter my password, and log in.
3- Go to the get mail button.
4- Go back to my profile. (everything is ok so far.)
5- Go to the button "check who viewed you".
6- Click on a profile of a gentleman who viewed my profile.
7- Go back to my profile and I end up on the REGISTRATION PAGE.
I tried different combinations and it seems that the REGISTRATION PAGE appears only after I went to see who viewed me.
Could there be a wrong link from the check who viewed me to the profile.
Sort of a wrong conlcusion to an "If then ... else..." command...
Just a thought....

Prove you are human and not a spambot by doing the following: Select Gender of each user in each picture.
For what it's worth, I find that if I am logged out of my POF email, I have an easier time getting unhidden profiles to display. | |

Posted: 4/27/2008 2:59:05 PM | This has gotten to be ridiculous. I have to clear my fricking cookies every time I view a profile or edit my page? Come on, now.....
I edited my page, submit... got the registration page... cleared cookies, resigned in, resubmitted. I didn't like how I phrased something, so I re-edited, submit.... registration page.
Come-the-frick-on!
And after that, only being able to view one or two profiles at a time before going through the cycle again?  | |

After reviewing about 4 profiles I'm directed to registration page instead of a profile even if it is my profile. This problem started last night about 10:30 pm. Please help it is very frustrating. | |

Posted: 4/27/2008 6:14:28 PM | Seems to work in fits and starts for me.... one minute everything works well, the next not at all, then a few minutes later it alright again and on and on...
Clearing cookies, cache, rebooting etc on our local computers isn't the answer... it's something on the server end, that much is certain | |

Posted: 4/27/2008 7:57:19 PM | Hi...I tried deleting cookies and junk...went all the way out and I still cannot view profiles. Instead of profile I get page 2 of the registration form.
Please help...figuring it is a tech problem...looks like I am not alone in this either. This has been going on for several days now for me.

Posted: 4/27/2008 8:09:53 PM | If we detect no cookies, and you aren't logged in then after 3 pageviews you see it. Click refresh and it goes away.
I have also made some changes so it shouldn't effect so many people who regularlly delete their cookies. | |

But I have a question that I noticed about the same time this "glitch" took place. My friends noticed this too. Some our favs went POOF! We and a couple of other profiles are not apearing on each others favs list, it is as if they were romeoved..{not by our doing I'll add}. Oddly our testimonials are still posting for each other which is nice to know. But we are not on either favs list anymore. Is this related to the original dilema? A response would be greatly appreciated... again, Thank you for your time and fixing this glitch! | |

Running IE 7.whatever – the latest, with all the most recent msoft updates, have it configured per the POF instructions (to accept cookies)… used to work perfectly whether I was logged into the forums, messaging, or not even logged-in. Now, whether or not I’m logged-in, I can see a two, maybe three, profiles, and then that registration screen appears. Even when I tried to leave cookies, session, etc. open, and tried the lowest security settings, the problem still happens. It makes little or no sense why can this work for some folks and not others?!? Or how some cookies are accepted, others ignored?!? Please help. | |

ive done this cookie thing and stuff god knows how many times now.. but when i click profiles it takes me to the registration page over n over.. no matter how many times i try it n delete them just cant view profiles.. any more suggestions help please admin..!!!!! | |
