Well, if I listen to some of the members of my elite fan club-I'll be going straight to Hell in 2008, and not passing "go" or collecting $200.

Will it be a return visit?

and not passing "go"

Go is so over rated.

or collecting $200.

$200 isn't worth what it used to be of course.

Yeah, $200 won't even buy one pair of Louboutins.

Hold out for more.

Yosemite is an awe inspiring place and a couple nights is very cheap even staying in a walled cabin. Allot of activities are safer in groups I would imagine that this would be a nice and memorable get together.

Just thoughts from a new guy to POF

What I find awe-inspiring is the idea of spending the night in a wild bear-infested forest in an un-walled cabin--as opposed to staying in one with walls.

There's a trick to it Sock. Ya tie Bambi to a tree about 50 yards from where you're camping for the night........ Be sure that you have trails that you can move quickly on in the opposite direction, and preferably down wind from Bambi should you hear sounds from Bambi's general direction.....

Been there; done that. Many times in fact. My last bear encounter was while eating dinner after dark about this time of year in a campground in Yosemite. My friend said, "Bear!" I said, "where?" She said, "There!" while pointing to the end of the table. So I chased the bear away--but he grabbed a bag when he left and got pretty obnoxious when I confronted him about it.

Later when I went to clean up the mess the bear had made I laughed my head off when I found what he tried to gnaw--all he got was a package of tampons. Guess he went to find a river to re-hydrate after he spit them out. (True story!)

Anybody up for a camping trip?

My bear encounter was at Lake Shasta a few years back. We were BBQ'ing chicken on our own little island. Little did we know that the chicken bones we threw on the ground would attract bears! I glanced behind me and saw three bears! The boat was out pulling skiers, so the only thing I could think of to get away was to swim out into the lake, so I threw (litterally) my son & another child into an inner tube and kicked like heck! I'm glad I didn't know then that bears could swim.

Yeah, but I hope you went to the store to get her more tampons!

Did the river run dry from that point on? Could the river or the bear swim every day, ride a horse every day, wear white pants every day?

Just wondered how much truth there is in advertising.

I didn't need to. She had purchased two packages and the bear only tried to eat one of them before losing his appetite.

You didn't hear about the water shortage that year?

It's kind of close, but May 10 is National Train Day and there is a big celebration planned
in LA's Union Station, entertainment, etc. Maybe we should ride up there and meet??

It looks like a tunnel. But actually Pete just hired some guy to paint a tunnel on a rock.

Sometimes a cigar, is just a cigar!

Eeek and I are at Mission Tobacco Lounge tonight. I will be able to try and force him to dance. Then he can deny I ever asked him. It's all good baby.

Now the footage of THAT would be priceless. I will probably be joining SSG in hell.

On topic: lots of good ideas, but I'm leaning towards a beach party.

Assuming you aren't taking a nap with your phone on vibrate again.

The key word being try. I can't drink that much and still drive home.

It's not about figuring one thing to do. It's just to shoot out ideas which anybody can then use to organize something on a separate thread throughout the year. I am tempted but I don't think I have the popularity to pull it off.

Why wouldn't you sleep with someone? I thought it was just the sex that was problematic.

Just the other day I found myself napping with 35 people. OK, it was English class.
