| where to find decent men Posted: 5/28/2008 10:56:35 AM | I volunteer with Habitat for Humanity and I have met some really great people who are involved with that organization. Some volunteer based organizations are not really a whole lot of fun to be involved with, but Habitat (at least our affiliate) is loads of fun, plus you are doing a good thing for the community.

words Decent and bars are NOT synonymous..........
Well, in our town we have the DeVine Bar which only serves the blood of our Savior.
For a red, it's pretty decent.

| where to find decent men Posted: 5/28/2008 11:34:52 AM | Decent means different things to different people.
for the person who said give me an indecent man its more fun...OMG you that sadistic/ looking to be trampled on or treated bad..
Nice , decent people canm be fun too...just their kind of fun is not at the expense of others.
Decent does not = Boring....
The bad boy image is soooo old hat lol...
The modern man is nice if he wants to not only find, but keep hold of a decent woman...
If Men want to be bad then they deserve the bad women that are about

| where to find decent men Posted: 5/28/2008 12:01:56 PM | | Me personally, I think alot, not all, but alot of the decent guys are momma's boys and that kind of a problem. At some point you have to let go and Im not here to be someone's mom. I agree that decent means different things to different people. To me, it means a guy who treats me nice and can stand on his own. | |

the words Decent and bars are NOT synonymous.......... ever try church maybe??
The words "decent" and "Christian" are truly not synonymous. Most atheists I have met have more ethics and are less hypocritical than many, many, many, MANY Christians.
Why do Christians feel that they have the monopoly on decency?
And besides, what is meant by "decent"?

| where to find decent men Posted: 5/28/2008 12:35:17 PM | Okay, while where at it, the words Nice and Guy don't exactly go together either yet you all throw that one around like it was going out of style. Only when it fits the occasion and not bothering to notice him 5 minutes later when he's sticking his boot up someone elses butt. Okay, bad joke, but I just said it out of fairness to let the next two words come out that you never hear anyone say, ever!
Nice Girl... | |

Never heard that one, but then I have no sisters. All in good fun I hope...
Anyway, while you Ladies are working on weather or not to pick up guys at the hardware store or or your local Tavern, keep in mind us Gents are trying to decide on if we should actually be at one or the other at any given time. Decent men can at times be found just about anywhere along with all the decent woman. Just because my good friend comes up behind you and grabs your butt and call you honey doesn't mean I will. I will at least wait a few hours....

ever try church maybe?? WHAT?!? One of my closest friends just sent me an anniversary card. He is sappy like that and remembers dates to everything. We have known each other 15 years and we met in a strip club. I was his favorite stipper and he was a good customer. Now he is a Catholic Priest with a very good size parrish in FL and so much happier. The other guys he went to school with were nuts. He barely finished all of his schooling in Ireland because he couldnt stand to be around all the wierdos. They all were doing each other!
I do remember when I was about 10 Brother Edward had me sit on his lap at Sunday school so yeah church is good pickin grounds. Go Catholic.
I like it right here. | |

| where to find decent men Posted: 5/28/2008 8:36:49 PM | I dig your honesty!
How do you avoid confusing [shy] for 'taken', and arnt all the decent ones taken? I believe single people are that way for a reason; being single myself - I'm darn sure that I wouldn't want to date me right now!!

Hey over here!
Ooo! Ooo! Pick me!
How about your neighborhood home improvement store. Guys love to help women in need. I know I do. I'm always happy to pull up on a horse , sweep you off your feet, & rescue you. As we ride off into the sunset & live happily ever after. Isn't that how it works?
Good luck, Sean - "your neighborhood night in shining armour"
Not a momma's boy | |

| where to find decent men Posted: 5/29/2008 12:09:46 AM | | Say what you want about Momma's boy's, but me?? I am. And my sister was a Daddy's girl. I guess I grew up in the f'ing Cleaver family. But it doesn't matter about parents and all that, what matters is what's going in your life, what your doing, where you're going. Enough about the parents already, they are going to die at some point, unless you beat them to it and that's the worst for a parent. So do what you want, but be true to yourself, that's all that matters. Be honest, loyal 'to a certain extent', and trustworthy, and everything else will work itself out. Still a boyscout at 32 years of age ;-) | |

| where to find decent men Posted: 5/29/2008 1:51:52 AM | | I tend to agree will valla maldoran. There are good people all over, you do have to look. As far as on line dating goes i agree with her to. But let's take it a little farther. The reason it's unlikely you will meet someone at least on here is because people seem to ignore each other here except for on the forums. There are lots of decent men here that would love to meet good decent women. But in the time i have been here all i have seen is a lack of communication between people. So with that i leave you with this. There are all kinds of ways to meet decent men. But ask yourself, "Am i using all the opportunity's that present themselves to me?" Or, Am i letting the opportunity's presented to me pass me by? | |

| where to find decent men Posted: 5/29/2008 5:38:59 AM | *Decent* . . : Polite, Chivalrous, Respectful, Romantic, Sincere . . . . There are decent guys...all over !! ..{even at Wal-Mart}.. Many Widowers are decent...looking for a nice Lady, Too..!!
If you don't Pre-Judge or eliminate them with trivial things .. like 'Distance' . . !! . .

| where to find decent men Posted: 5/29/2008 5:44:14 PM | "Decent" can also mean "of fair quality"...
Fairly reliable. Somewhat good looking. Adequate performance. And sensibly priced.
I think I'm a decent catch...

And you are a cutie! Wish I were a few years younger...oh, well!
I must agree with others' postings that perhaps we are not using all the opportunities surrounding us. For me, anyway, I tend to have those awful blinders on when I'm out and about shopping, doing errands, etc. I can be so focused upon what I have to get done, and don't look too approachable as a result.
So, decent men out there, I'll do my best to be much more friendly...and I know you are out there!

| where to find decent men Posted: 5/31/2008 6:54:51 PM | Zeeba,
You are a very beautiful woman. I may need to do my shopping where you shop. Only a few hundred miles away.
What do you mean younger? I think you mean live closer. We are close enough in age.
