Maybe they're just attention seeking, maybe they've had a traumatic experience & want to escape it. The reason's dont matter.
How you react can be the difference between them trying again or making it through & living a happy & fulfilled life | |

Posted: 5/11/2008 1:59:46 PM | it used to be punishable, now its not. Never changed the amounts that tried, who would honestly care if you really wanted to die ? To be punished would not stop someone trying, the end result ie; death, out weighs the 'oh what if i fail and get put in prison'?
Ive seen some new pics recently of a state of the art prison, boy could I live there !!!
Prison is not punishment( here goes oh great reformer.. )

There is nothing worse than having someone running around moaning all the time. Have centres around the country that people can walk into and within five minutes of entering, the job is done. And what if they have been given all the support, from families, the health services and various organizations that can possibly be given? what do we do then? Euthanasia should be made legal, and it should be carried out quickly. If the person wants to die, then kill them. There is nothing worse than having someone running around moaning all the time. But to punish someone for attempting to end their own life? Don't be stupid! The law was changed because people realised it was a stupid thing to do. If it got re-introduced it would simply be a way for the police to increase arrests and tell us that they are solving more crimes. | |

thats great for the reasons of euthanasia....only it normally refers to terminally ill... not depressed. or mentally ill. If every person with depression, could end their lives the same way as euthanasia if it were ever lawful here, then there would be uproar in the oath of doctors in preserving life.
Good god, just imagine ?
people with mental illness need help, stigma and labelling need reducing. What century are we in again ?? | |
