If I told you my IQ (150+) and how orgasmic in how many ways I typically am in a relationship (multi+) in which I love and trust the guy, you wouldn't believe me, so I'll spare you the details. Suffice it to say, the study must have been started by low-minded guys who weren't getting any with us glasses-wearing, librarian types with big vocabularies. Educated women are less likely to have silly hang ups about "what nice girls do" and are more able to enjoy it.
Note...enjoying sex and sexual frequency are not the same thing. I wouldn't be at all surprised to find the less educated a single woman is, the more often she has sex, as it could be used as both a form of validation ("I have worth because men want me"...a sentiment I have come across A LOT) and as a tool to form and / or sustain relationship out of desperation ("if i don't give him sex whenever he wants, he will leave me). I can't see educated woman falling into either of those traps very often... | |

Posted: 7/4/2009 9:43:03 AM | Everything I've ever read indicates that educated women (especially financially successful ones) are more promiscuous, and also more open and imaginative in the sack. That doesn't mean more orgasms.
I think educated women are more likely to be unhappy with, or critical of, their partners... At least subconsciously. That can affect sexual enjoyment. Some women can't separate obtaining an education, from being indoctrinated into a certain way of viewing men. | |

Every study has a group that is being used. If this group isn't a good representation, the results will only reflect those that are represented. In this study's case, the ones that enjoy sex were too busy out having fun to be bothered with this study.
Anyone that wants to state their IQ score should also state the name of the test, there are so many and each are different. You can score higher or lower depending on the test being given. Doesn't really matter, if you are intelligent, I don't see the point of screaming it to the world. Sort of like I have gotten tired of people bashing anyone that has no problems with sex and doesn't need to do kinky perverted crap to get off. Some women actually get off seeing their man's body and enjoy their man making love to them. They don't need fingers, toys, etc. And perhaps having a higher IQ means that we know what sex is really supposed to be about. It is about enjoying your partner, enjoying your experience and making it great for your partner too.
I am also tired of those that rant that the know every thing about sex or certain acts when they are talking about a woman's experience and they are a man.
Is there a reason sex has to be dissected so much and people can't enjoy it for what it is? | |

1. Maybe the women with lower educational qualifications didn't understand the question. lol.
2. Maybe the women who completed their education knew what good sex is and were reporting the that the German MEN sucked at it!
3. Maybe the researchers were made up of the German guys who are lousy at sex and were trying to get back at the smart women who called them on it.
4. Maybe the lower educated women were satisfied with any sexual attention because they don't have the economic security a woman with a diploma has and could demand that second orgasm.
5. Maybe we should ignore the lab reports and use our intellect to be the best lover we can be to our guy. | |

And exactly when does anyone "complete their education"? Like, OK, I know all I need to know now!" I mean, I realize several have reached that point, and probably mouthed those words, but . . . . .
Or is that the notoriously domineering German scientists who decide when a woman has "completed" her education? That's alot more sinister.

If so, that's unfortunate because people should be talking to the one they are having sex with - about the sex they are having. Dunno, that was a big part of one relationship I had, we talked about all sorts of things and enjoyed talking AND doing!
I'm not sure about educated, but I like a man who is educated about sex in general. Still interested in learning more about sex and open to new things. A man could be the smartest dude in the world, yet never have researched a single thing about sexuality and be horrible in bed.
Note though that better educated people tend to like learning, so would that not mean that the educated ones are into learning about sex? | |

I usually find that all such "studies" are just lame efforts to get people excited about things enough to sell more magazines or whatever. I have yet to see any such alleged "studies" that were conducted in a scientific manner, such that they could exclude conclusions other than what they set out to prove.
Here, for example, modern education encourages people to be more picky about what they do or don't approve of. You'll generally find that educated people are more picky about EVERYTHING. It doesn't mean they are having less fun, just that they are less likely to admit it.
For a study such as this to have ANY validity at all, they would have had to study the actual sexual responsiveness and level of pleasure achieved by a far larger number of women than they would likely get to volunteer for such intrusive experiments. Even then, the study would be invalid, since it would rely exclusively on women who were willing or "into" having scientists watch them having sex.
Thus, no matter WHAT this "study" says, I would expect it is crap. | |

One reason is, 4 and a half years ago I was having sex in a REAL 5 year relationship and he learn to turn me on and all was good, but he left for unknown reasons. Even if a guy is technically good, if there is no relationship and caring between 2 people and the man does not actually want to hang out with me, this ruins the whole complete proper expression of sex between a man and woman. I am very enjoyable to hang out with, and worthy of caring about, and this is something you USERS and LOSERS don't realize and sex with you USERS and LOSERS leaves me VERY COLD. Joking aside, I recall reading studies years ago that correlated better sex with more education. College educated people of both sexes were more adventurous and open-minded about various sexual practices, and had fewer hang-ups and misconceptions (no pun intended!) about sex. They may think and analyze more, but most set that aside during sex.
Ignorance is sometimes bliss, so the less educated or less intelligent may simply be less informed and therefore believe they're having better sex. If it makes them feel good, good for them. | |
