The study is of German women, ie a specific nationality and culure. What is considered "smart" in the German context? German woman are smart, in general. And well educated.
Yeah, in America, "smart" means "passably literate".
The word's lost all meaning; everyone thinks they're smart. It's difficult being intelligent and an American because you're kind of lost in the shuffle of imbeciles claiming intelligence as well. | |

I can reach a perfect orgasm by telling my partener exactly how I like it. I have discovered about myself that in my 20s I was shy and afraid to tell my partner of what I want, so my partner was always in control. Now in my 30s as I am more open and confident, I don't have a problem telling my partner how I like it. I think watching the show "Sex and the City" may have helped. | |

A woman with post graduate degrees would be more inclined to participate in things like anal sex, BDSM, group activities than a woman with just a high school diploma. Ok, on a serious note, fairly high IQ here (135) but I've always been stupid about picking the right man. Intelligence doesn't give you common sense, in fact, the higher the IQ, often, the lower the common sense, as far as getting into the genius levels of IQ. Yes, I know, that is a generalization formed by personal opinion.
I have a nephew who is 34 who is way up there on the higher end of genius IQ. Practically to the point of being an Idiot Savant. He can't live alone because he can't remember to take the trash out, change his socks, clean up after himself, and is too nervous to want to learn to drive. He also collects things in massive amounts. But if you tell him your birthdate, he can tell you what day of the week you were born, he knows every statistic for every sports team for their entire history, and will tell you every line coming up from any movie he has ever watched. Not exactly useful information.
He tried going to college to become an accountant, but it wasn't finite enough for him, given any equation, the answers are different in accounting depending on what the application needed. He refuses to round up or down.
He also sticks to his guns about marrying a virgin, as he is, too, which is a fine moral to have, but with his severe lack of common sense and social skills, it would be a rare woman who would answer his prayers and take on this child-like man. He has only four things he will eat, all of them fatty microwavable foods. Hence, the porcine body type. No fruits, no veggies, no nutritional value.
I know, this is an extreme example, but I wanted to throw it out there. There is something to be gleaned from this, not that I agree with the original post's study results from the "Sun", but I did want to point out that some extremely intelligent people do have issues that might hinder their possibilities of "gettin' some", or getting the right sumpin sumpin.
AND if a very intelligent, well-educated woman is looking for the same in a man, there is the possibility that both of them have little experience and need to make some explorations to find common ground, and IF they are both socially inept because of their pursuit of knowledge, I can see the possibility of someone being disappointed in the beginning.
Just my two cents.

There is a lot of truth to this. I am socially inept and my best boyfriends were the same, but we had fun in bed! If you have a sense of humor, free yourself of expectations, good sex and orgasms can happen. I do have an amazing imagination though | |

for serious studies I direct you to a 40 year study by Prof Rudoluph Terman. He randomly seleced a gropu of several hundred gifted kids with IQs over 120, and did a long term study on their lives.
The first surprise was hat these gifted kids were better than average physical specimens. Better at sport and healthier generally. They also had active social lives, debunkying the myth of the briliant geks whos a social outcast. Their sex lives were more active than average.
In fact the only score which was lower than expected, was in the area of intellectual achievement. They had higher rates of colege graduation and work promotion than average, but not as high as would be expected from IQs over 120 | |
