Ill tell you what?
I left my kid out of everything regarding my second marriage.
I even eloped and didnt tell her I was going to mary him.
When I came home and told her we had just gotten married she stormed off to her room. I thought she was mad because she want invited? After I left him she finally told me she was so mad that day because I married him, she said he treated us so bad Mom and you just coulndt see it!!! She was so frustrated with it all. Shes a good kid kept her mouth shut about it the whole while she thought I was happy and she wanted me to be happy.
She sure was smug however when I figured things out LOL but she isnt one to go around saying "I told you so" Kids are pretty darn smart and they see things that we often times dont. My daughters opinion on a potential man in my life is taken to heart. Shes no dummy even tho her Mother was.
My daughter is the biggest part of my life and I include her in everything. I would not even consider going on any kind of date with anyone who would not welcome my daughter as well.
There is an all adult gathering in some club in little rock with drinking and all that this wekeend I believe maybe some might want to go to that event? Altho you woldnt catch me at such an event.
I heard of a "game night" too at a pizza parlor where you bring board games and cards and have pizza and that is very attractive to me Good clean fun and my daughter would totally enjoy it too she LOVES that kinda stuff. If anyone knows more about this kind of gathering the when abouts and where abouts please let me know!!! And if anyone in or near Johnson county is interested in a regular "game night" once a week or every other week let me know I will make arrangements for a place for us all to gather.
Dont get me wrong I cuss and smoke and even have a drink now and then and I do not believe in God so I aint no holy roller at all........ I just prefer good clean fun and the kind of gatherings where I can include my daughter because she and I are so very close (she says I am her best friend) awwwweee! And she dont have alot of luck making friends and she is also going deaf. I call her my little nerd because she always has her nose in a book and is a straight A student. Should I find someone to date GREAT! (I would make alone time for us for sure!!! Thats a given!) But I would not even consider anyone who would even suggest that my daughter not be included. And being that I have no interest in the bar sceen or drug sceen there is no reason for her to NOT be included.
We do not have any family to speak of outside of my sister in Wisconsin and some distant cousins ..... her dad abandoned her when she was a baby its inevitable that we became so close. Kristina and I went to dinner with a man from POF last fall and he wrote me afterwards and really touched me how he said he wished he and his kids had some of what my daughter and I have and that he really envied how close we are and said he wanted to spend more time building such a relationship with his own kids.
Ok I went off on a rant here didnt mean to.....
But yeah I would be a bit more careful about what is said regarding children because it can strike a nerve with alot of us Moms ........ and some dads too.
I am REALLY looking forward to this gathering.
Maybe we can even heat hot foods up on the grill with an old pot eh? Theres an idea. Ill hit a few rummages this weekend and look for a big ol pot. Infact theres one up the road here today. OK so you can put me down for Hamburger beans for sure (thats ground beef and butter beans, pork and beans and lima beans and kidney beans and onion and brown sugar) and crab salad too (thats just crab meat and celery and red onion and black olives and noodles with poppy seed dressing)
Anyone bringing corn on the cob to grill? Maybe I can get my neighbor to bring that? Ill make sure we bring a huge pot to soak it in and some tinfoil.
Ill let you know what my neighbor will be bringing soon as I talk to her again.

Posted: 5/9/2008 10:00:30 AM | I got a call from the Park this morning stating they were changing my camp site from 53 to 54 which is not as ideal since I will not have as good a view of the pavilion but it seems they have trouble with keeping records straight since more than one center makes reservations

and any others who might plan to come, PLEASE sign up on the sign up sheet ASAP. I would rather have people sign up and cancel later than to wait until the last minute We still need two more to sign up before we can do our mass mailing through POF | |

as my camper will fit in yours if you want.
I'll also have the drinks (non acholic) for the BBQ along with every thing else I
mentioned earlier, and the kitchen sink if i'm not careful! I'm bad to over
bring stuff and get stuck with left overs.
Oh I think I've talked a girl friend from OK City to come camp with me for the party
she just signed on on POF this morning. And a guy who has me on his favorites list
has shown intrest in attending, I've sent him the information. | |

Steve I signed up for potato salad, cole slaw and a chocolate sheet cake at the sight emailed to me...I also have some plastic wear I will bring.
One thought. I was a single mom. And while my daughter is grown and won't be attending...this fun day planned at the lake is most suitable for children...they bring fun and laughter and endless energy. I am bringing my friend Cyndi, so there will be 2 of us single gals attending.

I found a really nice big roasting pan with a cover at a garage sale today to bring my hamburger beans in. Can Just put it right on the grill ..... it will be nice to have a hit side dish aside from the meat.
My friend that is going with me told me about an hour ago she would bring tater salad but I will let her know that is already taken. I might also just bring tuna salad instead of crab salad its cheaper to make and I have all the fixings here.
Pinching pennies I am saving to get braces on my daughters teeth before school starts this fall.
Let me know where to sign up for food to bring so I knwo what is and isnt already being provided.

yes ill be brining all my poles i even have fly fishing stuff if anyone needs those ,,,i dont like those they look like work to me...lol....yes my license expired last month i think so i better get a new one befroe i head that way...yes i was kinda waiting for the damsle in distress but im not to distressed ...but thanks for the input and help...lol....well now we have at least two damsles in distress...lol...i have bobbers ..i have stuff i dont even know i have...lol...i have a huge tackle box so im sure we can find things to use...im good with worms and baiting my hook but only if its in a cup i cant handle them on the ground or anything...lol...go figure im a nerd they scare me...just like they are baby snakes.....yes im strange in some ways awesome in others...lol....ask steve or someone over there ont the bait im not sure over there but over we use the wax worms on the river.....renee i hope your feeling better come next weekend..but if you need anything holler im sure we can all pitch in if you need help....yes we owe gayle and steve big time cause they are the reason we are all getting together....ok the stupid question my one for the day...who is gayle i guess i havent had the pleasure of meeting her on line yet...looking forward to meeting steve joe gayle renee tarnac nola michelle and her gang and everyone else sorry if i havent put your name but everyone is included its always great to meet new people anyways ....STRANGERS ARE JUST FRIENDS YOU HAVENT MET....keep in touch ya'll this time next week ill be under the stars and im so ready....lol good evening ya'll!

UT OH!
I am from Wisconsin and we use regular worms and night crawlers there. I think I will dig up my own here soon as we get another good rain. Why pay 10 bucks for something that is sitting in my own back yard.
I too have been under the weather a bit. I started to get fluid on my knees about late Sept last year and they can cause me alot of trouble now and then. They still havent found the cause or the remedy yet but I am getting a new specilaist as soon as my back heals up ..... Thats the other thing. I gained like 30 pounds after my knees went bad on me and I cant get around too good some days so i decided I was going to try to do situps for exercise no stress on the knees right? So I do 100 situps Monday morning and when i got done I could not get up off the floor. I put my darn back out! 
I been all hopped up on vicodin since Tuesday morning and doing the heating pad thinger seems a bit better. If I was not so anal about a clean house I would heal a whole lot faster.
This excess weight has really gotten me down and am REALLY looking forward to finding out what is going on with my knees so I can get back to work again and join the gym!!! I went out this week and bought myself a new summer wardrobe because I cant fit a thing from last summer UGH!
Ok I am done whineing
My point was i am not going to let the back or the knees keep me from coming!!! Im even gonna sleep on the ground  LOL My daughter will have a blast and I have already made a few friends in this group. You guys are really easy to warm up to.

Gayla has lost her Internet connection temporarily. She lives in a rural area by the lake, out past where our BBQ will be. It was not a good idea. I could not get back up out of it and every bump hurt.
I have a week to heal up here.
Slpet with heating pad last night and have it on right now as I type.
Poor daughter is sick has a bit of a temp 100.3 and diahreaha poor thing!
But still as it stands today we are coming.
Hope she feels better so she can go with us.
