Where's the BEEF? I have not received a list of MEAT items you plan to bring.
Games:
Someone mentioned Volleyball but nobody offered to bring a ball and net. I have a set of horseshoes but will have to scrounge up a couple of posts and I am not sure what the regulation distance is for pitching

Anyone Interested: Who wants to be the leader insuring we have every thing we need for this event? I am a concept person. Details are not my bag. I would think we could use a game supply coordinator, a food coordinator, a utility supply person, a boating coordinator, traffic control specialist, a smoke re-director, bug controller, a fire prevention specialist and a Cook (Heck, a Master chef would be even better). By that time it would be completely organized and just as completely unmanageable!!! Yep better just stick with one or two people in charge | |

I was wondering of a way I could contribute and I am talented with Indian bead work and thought I could maybe make a key chain (they are beautiful with long leather fringes and Indian bead work on it) it can be a hassle free kind of thing that no one really needs to attend to. Im sure this is a decent bunch of people. I will decorate a large coffee can and attach the key chain to it. We can set it in a populated place of our group. People can write their name on a post it note provided and slip into can along with a dollar and can enter as many times as they like. At the drawing time we can just open the can and take out all the money and let people know what we raised and replace the names back into the can and draw a name. It will be self maintaining and can raise money for your next event. Let me know if you think its a good idea. Get back to me soon I need a few days to make one of those key chaines it is VERY tedious work .... and will have daughter decorate a can.

id be willing to help out with the cordinating the food stuff getting there...let me get a note book going then ill start asking and letting everyone know what is needed and all....but im not into activity organization so someone else feel free to do so.....lol so everyone lets get thsi going im going to eamil the rest of the new women and see what they are bringing and anyone i cant communitcate with id appreciate it if you will help me out on that steve ....thanks and ya'll take care ill be posting the note later on this evening i need to take a nap im soooooooooooo tired ..i work nights and i havenet been to bed sincei got up 26 hours ago.....yikes

I posted all that yesterday morning? It has yet to show up yet and no one has given me the OK on the beadwork to raise a bit of money either. Hmmmmm. I have to stop at Walmart tomorrow and get some proper beading thread on my way to the docs office. So shold have that project done in a couple days and if you dont want to raffle it fine by me I need a new one anyways every time I get my keys on a new one someone sees it and buys it.
Ill be cooking my brains out either Thursday night or Friday night depending on which day Warrior is comeing to pick me up.

Warrior, as to the meat, Hamburgers would be easiest, the list is growing so it might be the cheaper way to go and since you don't know how many guests are coming it might be safer than doing steaks...even though everyone loves steak. But if we all go hamburgers we'll need buns also! I'm a pork chop nut myself!!
Oh I also packed up as much firewood as I could fit in my little compartment on the camper. And anyone in the last week that's shown any kind of intrest I've directed them towards the party, so who know's who might show up! | |
