As individuals we grow & develop at different rates. Someone you meet at age 20 & is your soulmate then would be unlikely to be your soulmate when you are age 40.

no need to compete
no need to impress
no need to lie
they may judge but not sentence and it is done openly
they will listen to your troubles and you theirs
if they offer advice it is with you and your needs in mind not theirs. you are under no obligation to follow it, nor they yours.
i guess the bottom line is. there is no competition between you.
so the rest is a natural result of that.
there does not need to be a romantic/sexual side to it. but if you find both together you've got it all!

It is whatever answers are discussed here, an over used term. Those that have been married and are no longer - did you marry someone who you knew was not your 'soul mate?' Or did you believe that person was at the time?
People change in life, sometimes react differently to a situation then they did a year ago - So for all the things you say your 'soul mate' is do you mean at that moment in time - because you may get a different reaction to the same situation in the future.
Today I have a hangover and am likely to react differently now then when i'm im ratarsed later! I'm glad I don't have a 'soul mate' scare the hell out of me! | |

That's it, right there.
IMHO, it's nothing to do with someone who's like another you, finishes your sentences (just means you're predictable!), fulfils your every need, etc.
Instead it's someone who takes the 'me' that I am on my own, and brings something new out of me - something that isn't there when I'm with others or on my own. And hopefully vice-versa.
A relationship between soulmates is that rare thing where the whole is greater than the sum of the individual people. I gave up looking years ago... :(
Might just take the advice above and look for a primate :) | |

In some cases it is to clear up karma, in other cases it is to finish unfinished business, and for some it is to accomplish a particular goal together. These relationships may be a joy to be in or these relationships may be a pain in your life. Either way they are here for a reason.
