| What do you drive or ride.......We want to know............ Posted: 6/15/2008 11:44:35 PM | | I have a 99 Pontiac Grand Am V6. I wish I had a smaller car because of gas prices but this will do for now. When I first got it wasn't running but I did most of the mechanical work on it myself and now I got it running. | |

has about 40k miles on it because thats about all its good for.
other then it being puke yellow, and a few rust ok more then a few rust spots, and 13" tires its a real dream car, did I mention it came with electric seats? the AC blows hard, as long as both windows are down.
anything else you would like to know about it just ask, I have always waited for the day I would have to descibe it and could use it to get me a date!!! I can see the line of women now...
If it gets to be overwhelming I am willing to meet at the mall and give rides.

I saw an old Fiesta yesterday on the way back to work from lunch with the gang. Man, was that thing a sight! Flat, dull, red paint and bashed in on two sides. Oh, and those things are TINY (heh, use caps to emphasize small).
And to think ... Ford is bringing this thing (well, the name at least) back from the grave! The Euro version does not look too bad (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Fiesta) but I have yet to see a picture of the new Mexican built version. The Mk7 concept car looks pretty interesting (but what concept car does not).
Oh, my ride .... a big ol' Nissan pickem up truck ... a TITAN among trucks.

Posted: 6/25/2008 8:18:38 AM | Hey, that G6 got around 24 mpg and I just checked this VIBE and it got 30 mpg and isn't even broken in yet. (That's highway and town miles combines) PLUS my insurance rate went down on the VIBE!!! Sounds like a win/win situation to me!!! Bet my tube gets better gas milage in that Guadalupe River than either of those cars, though!!!! Sandee

Posted: 6/25/2008 3:59:21 PM | Let’s see… having some experience with “toobing”… if the river flows around 250 cubic feet per second, I guess that means one could cover about a mile or two of river every hour (?!?). And if you’re out there for many hours and have a medium consumption of at least one beer every 15 minutes … OH PFFFFFT!!! Just pack several cases in their own tube! And don’t forget the munchies! (And that’s perfectly okay, Sandee, the same math applies to any beverage!)

| What do you drive or ride.......We want to know............ Posted: 6/28/2008 9:07:44 PM | Red Pontiac G6 coupe.....with all the extras I could get. Had it for about a year and a half, and it averages 25 miles to the gallon, mostly in-town driving. I love it.
Now that my daughter can drive and has her own car, I don't have to haul kids around anymore.....so I got myself a "fun" car.
For my daughter, who seems to be on the road from morning to night, we just got a little Honda Civic. She loves it, and the gas mileage is great...36 mpg.
Now my only concern is which friend I'll corner, the next time I need someone's truck to pick up a few bags of horse and chicken feed....

Oh! but I have to say more. Shucks... well, 2006, greenish gray (I think it's called seafoam or something like that!), nice room for the boys in the backseat and all our gear in the cargo area. Well, I guess that's enough now.
