Question is don't you think if a woman has a modicrum of decency they would return the ring if they choose to discard the 'ringee' (provider of said bauble)?

how long did you know the lady?

in all fairness.. if your silly enough to buy a ring for 4 grand no.. I wouldn't give you it back.. you brought it for me... ebay is calling lol lol

saying that... I am sorry for the sad news.. that is not funny... I know where you are coming from ... I am in the same boat... sigh... but hey... it was not meant to be for a good reason... the future will show us one day why.xx

Hey when all the blood is taken from a mans brain, we lose all rationale!
I truly think exes are exes for a bloody good reason - at the young age of 36 it has given a bit of a kick when I realise just how many pints that ring equates too!

'What fo you get when you fall in love.... A girl with a pin...etc'

Can you find one with a twin sister?

Yours hopefully.

I have seen engagement rings on women that cost a few pounds and some that cost hundreds of pounds..Have to say most of the cheaper ones looked just as nice and classy ( if not more so ) than the expensive ones...And whos to know how much they cost unless they person looking is either a jewellery expert or the wearer goes around boasting how much the thing cost..

Maybe you think it is worthless now Leigh, but I expect you though it was priceless at the time, like we all do/did..

The price of an engagement ring is not important to me and as my sweetie Storm Chaser said "the ring is a sign of commitment and the love of wanting to be together forever" that is the most important thing and I would still be happy to receive a ring out of a bubble gum machine or Cracker Jack box if that is all he could afford. It would show that he really loves me and wants to take our relationship to the next level of commitment. I have previously been married and never even got an engagement ring as I knew at the time he loved me and that is all that mattered. So, my love (storm) how much you gonna spend on a ring for me

Awww thank you hun but like I said it is not the price that is important - it's the love that comes with it.

It turns out ...............that it was a ring bought for and given to his ex!!!!!

She gave it back to him when they split up and then he gave the same ring to Mariah who...understandably is fuming!!!

So, spending lots of money is one thing, but re-use of engagements rings is quite another.......what an arnse!!!

That counts as spending no money at all then, hardly the grand, romantic gesture!
Has she dumped him yet?
No better than raking out the wedding dress from the one that got away!

Im relaibly informed by a range of girlie mags on this weeks shelves that shes currently "fuming", wont be seen out with the ring in public again and is "reviewing" her wedding plans!

Ouch........wouldnt want to be in his shoes! It will be interesting to see if she dumps him or just gets him to lavish expensive consolation prizes upon her!!!

Either way, Im sure Diva Carey will make him pay!!
Bet his ex is having a quiet chuckle!!

Apparently she married the guy - after meeting him in March.

These people have stupid amounts of money to play with - if they want to go and spend a million pounds on a ring rather than donate some to charity or so forth then, well, they're making themselves look like giant divas.

I've been engaged once - the ring cost next to nothing but it was a very unique ring designed to be in place until he could afford something a bit more "special" - his words not mine. I was perfectly happy with the ring I had and told him that he need not spend anymore on another ring. In the end we broke up about two months later anyhow! He said I could keep the ring so I have and whilst its no longer amicable between us it's a reminder that we did once upon a time have a good relationship!

Every woman has their own romantic ideal as to what gift they would like..... me personally, i would like a ring...... the roundness symbolises the never ending union between two people....... and the months salary is meant to show that the chap can support his fiancee financially......... but i would be happy with a £10 second hand ring if it was made to last and beautiful with it.

Best thging is to refrain from the "E" word, it can lead to the "M" word if you're not careful
