I told my Sis about the thread and she started immediatley singing this theme: Robin Hood, Robin Hood riding through the glen Robin Hood Robin Hood and his merry men Feared by the bad, loved by the good Robin Hood, Robin Hood, Robin Hood I cracked up. Hadn't thought about it in years. Anyone remember a horrid show called Junior G Men (I never saw it as a kid but it's on very late night TV here over the airwaves. What a hoot. It is trully baaaad) Zorro?

I'll see if I can find the link---edit: well I'm baaack but I can't find that thread to save my soul! Must be really buried--or have a wierd title. OH!! editing again--it's not a wierd title--it's commercials and there's a bunch of different threads: good one, bad ones annoying ones etc really fun .. just type in commercials in the search box in the forums.O like the way you're doing it so we have to try to remember what the commercial was for! I don't remember choo choo etc. Go play now and have fun!!

| Nostalgia Thread - favorite tv shows from when you were a kid Posted: 6/19/2008 7:27:10 PM | | I was 7 or 8 and I sent 25 cents and a Kellogg's cereal box top to Kellogg's, Battle Creek, Michigan (I still remember the address. This was before zip codes), to get my Time for Beanie Beanie. I would run down to the mailbox every day looking for it to come in the mail and it took several weeks. Funny thing, I don't remember it actually coming, just sending off for it and the horrible long wait. Loved Beanie and Cecil the Sea Sick Serpent. | |

I still have my Engineer Bill TV tray packed away in storage.
But what was with Cecil licking Beanie from head to toe?
The religious right would be out to crucify him as a Cecil the Gay-Sick Sea Serpent. | |

| Nostalgia Thread - favorite tv shows from when you were a kid Posted: 6/21/2008 1:58:20 AM | When I was real little besides cartoons (obviously) my favorite shows were Adam 12 and Emergency...a few years later as I approached teenager status Dukes of Hazard became the show of choice...I'm pretty sure it was Daisy Dukes' shorts and not the scripts that held my attention though | |

| Nostalgia Thread - favorite tv shows from when you were a kid Posted: 6/25/2008 8:22:25 AM | There was a program about welfare counselors in NYC 1963-64 which was called "East Side/West Side" starring George C. Scott. It was on Friday nights and I tried not to miss an episode. It taught us how weak and worthless people on welfare were. George tried to do his best to help them, but you know how poor people are... they always find a way to do themselves in.
