Question: Which would you choose and why: go back in your past or go forward to your future?

I have actually thought about this one before.

A: I would just press into the future. Reason, If I go back in the past and changed something, it may change who I am today and I know who I am by what has happened and learned more about how I can make myself better than I am and make others life better in the end. We live the lives we do for a reason and only in time will we know the answer. Even if you go back in the past, doesn't mean it will end up better in the end~

Next, we hear all these new politicians make themselves out like the best, however we all know what wil happens,so....

Q: What would you change if you were President?

I guess I have to answer two questions because you didnt answer the last one...

Worst band I have ever heard was Chicago (please don't shoot me Chicago fans) summer before last...at Verizon Wireless in VA Beach...they just were off for a reason or another and not as good as they were in the old days...aside from the instrumentals they really seemed to have lost their game. It was painful to watch although Robert Lamm is still phenomenal. What was wonderful however was Huey Lewis - he opened for them and gets better and better with age (and sexier) and that in itself paid for the tickets. I walked out of the concert...which I never do...but it was terrible.

What would I do if I was president? I would tap into some of our natural resources stateside to ease this dependency we have on other countries for oil...we will be paying $5 a gallon for gas soon and our next POF party will have to be carpooled to. Hmmm that isnt a bad idea after all...it would be like an ADVENTURE for us all!

Hmm I guess I didn’t read the rules about answering the questions in order....... my bad

Question: Do you find that you are more vulnerable or less vulnerable in internet dating?

Answer: I find my self less vulnerable in internet dating; since it is less personal than on a date and filling the time up with someone that may not be that interested in you and it may feel awkward than calling the evening short and trying to keep another persons interest when only one individual is communicating. I addition, if other individuals are honest ion what they write, both individuals have a little time to learn something about each other before you meet and make (or try) it a little less stressful during the first meeting.

Question: Do you find that you tell more or less about yourself than you would say in a blind date with a stranger that someone from work set you up with?

Answer: Id have to say I tell only a limited amount about myself in this venue based on the time it requires to read through the information and how the other person seems to be interested me. Whereas in a blind date, both parties seem obligated to talk about them selves in-depth at times when to be perfectly honest, they don’t have a physical attraction other or no chemistry or they already have knowledge of each other and create a tense situation.

What was the worst Job you ever had?

I've not had many jobs, but of those, I would have to say baby sitting or house cleaning.

Next Question:
What are you going to name your next pet?

I don't plan on any more 4 legged 'pets' I've had more than my fair share in life.

I plan on the 2 legged kind, and his mom and dad will have already named him. He will be house broke, won't shed, have fleas, or depend on me to feed & water him. Of course he may need me to bathe him - and that wouldn't be such a bad thing.

What did I pick up as a souvenier...although I always end up finding stray animals...I didn't bring home a dog. I did however bring home an amazing handblown bottle from the 30's in an antique store in West Va. Icollect handblown glass and this particular piece is cobalt blue and very very quirky. I love it...it is mishapen, as many handblown pieces are...but perfectly imperfect in many different ways. Kind of like each of us huh?

Speaking of something that is unique and special...tell us about the most romantic thing someone you loved did for you.

I've just gotten the usual, roses and a card or dinner out somewhere nice. Not anything over the top romantic, not by other people's standards anyway.

How often do I wach my car? Well, I am really bad about washing my car and would say every other week. My 17 yr old is a fanatic about her car and washes it often or rinses it off daily.

Q: What are you going to name your next pet?

A: Not sure, depends if what my next pet is. I would like a dog, however not in a place when that’s feasible, I have a cat named “pockets” now; she got that name since she likes to sleep on the covered corner pockets of my roommates pool table.

Q: On your last trip away from home, what did you pick up as a souvenir?

A: I picked up a shot glass from Colorado.

Q: Tell us about the most romantic thing someone you loved did for you.

A: I guess the most romantic thing someone did me was arrange a weekend get away to a cabin near a river for a weekend. Just a chance for us to get away from everything and spend some time with each other.

Q: How often do you wash/clean up your car?

A: Depends on the weather and how dirty it is. Most times I just let rain wash my truck off and keep my windows clean. If I have a special occassion, it will get a good cleaning.

Q: We all invest our time or money into things. What has been your best investment of either time or money?

A: My best investment was buying my two homes; even though I rent them out, they are a good source of income and equity.

Putting material 'things' or other things before me..... essentially being selfish.

Examples:
A. Buy a new 'boy toy' and 'forget' my birthday, anniversary or Christmas
B. Tell me we 'can't afford it' & go to a strip club with $500.00 in his pocket
C. Insist we buy generic to save money and then go golfing every weekend with the guys and 'drinks are on me' - then chastise me for taking out $20.00 for lunch.

My favorite comfort smells are lavender, pumpkin pie baking, and the smell of a tshirt that I have stolen from someone I love that I wear to bed because it smells like him. Not that I have that tshirt now, or even anyone to steal one from...but there is something incredibly wonderful about the smell of someone you love.

OOOPS guess that CBRNEWarrior and I answered the same question at the same time
My favorite holiday is Christmas...I love midnight mass, and have never tired of hearing the story of Christ's birth and always try to do something that isn't secular...like working for a homeless shelter, or a present drive for children. No presents for me...I would just like to see my family together as they always are...and enjoy the children (my nieces and nephew). I love my family...my mom and dad and two sisters and it is one of the greatest blessings God has given me in my life.

So NOW back to my question lol

I would use the money for two purposes. The first is to support or start an organization for kids that have been forgotten or abandoned by society. Our future depends on the youth of today but so many have been left to fend on their own.

The second would be to support clean up for environment.

Q: If you were given 1 million dollars tomorrow, and you had to give half to charity to have the other half for yourself, what would you spend the $500,000 on to make a difference in this world?

A: Hmm soo many things to do, so little money. I know that from time to time schools have financial problems keeping programs like band, PE, etc; I’d have to say Id put that money in some type of sound investment and donate the rewards at times to keep these programs going.

Q: What is the most annoying thing a partner could or did do?

A: Purposely mislead me

Q: How long have you been at your current job?

A: 26 yrs in the Air Force and on retirement leave, and looking for my next career; anyone knows of any good ones out there?

Q: If you were a pie what kind of pie would you be?

A: Cherry

Q: Of all 7 seasons, who was your favorite American Idol finalist?

A: Don’t watch the finals; I’d rather watch the auditions, they are more fun.

Would you rather watch sports in person or on TV? Would rather watch in person. Honestly, would rather play than watch, even if I played badly.

Wow this game is getting confusing with everyone answering other questions all around so I will be boring and answer the question right in front of me:

New Q: how many actual dates (good or bad) can you say were a direct result of POF?

Answer: I have only had one awesome date from POF...but what is not to like about someone who is handsome, a former altar boy, extremely intelligent, and funny as hell? What could have been a short meet and greet ended up being a very fun six hour date...

What would be your ideal road trip?

Wow! A road trip - who would have ever thought that a road trip would now be an indulgence with the incredibly expensive price of gasoline these days?

Pack the car...pack the dogs and head on over to Hampshire County West Virginia...my favorite place to remind me of what quiet sounds like is Capon Bridge...I have a friend that has a cabin there that he rents out...hot tub for relaxing, or a nice old fashioned cast iron tub for just vedging. Sleeping with the windows open and the cool mountain air. Sleeping in with absolutely no agenda...or some fun . Shoot some pool...hike up Ice Mountain, do some fishing....and laugh and tell stories the whole way there with someone I love.

Difficult question - I believe in my heart it would be: Not get married to my 'ex'

The few days after I announced my engagement to my family & friends... I discovered all of my jewelry (about 10 gold/diamond rings) was missing and told my fiance' we'd been robbed. He confessed that he had taken my jewelry back to the store where I had bought them and traded them all in for my engagement & wedding ring.

If I had it to 'do over' I would have grown some testicles and broke up with him - this was the first sign of 'things to come' in our marriage.

Yes I was young & dumb - and spent 10 years with him. I've spent a lot of time and energy kicking myself in the behind for that life altering decision. I sure learned my lesson ! Got $45.00 at a pawn shop for the wedding set after the divorce & felt much better getting it out of my life - symbolic of one bad memory.
