Three magazines...interesting question:

1. People Magazine as I like to read of things going on with interesting people.
2. Weight watchers as I like to learn ways to better myself physically and mentally
3.Super Chevy as I love cars and have since I was a kid.

What is one thing that you secretly would like to learn how to do and why?

Hmmmmm there are two things - one is a total improbability, and one is actually doable:
1) I would love to be able to sing so well that it would move people, maybe in the opera or another venue. To sing in "La Traviata" in front of a packed audience would be amazing...Right now I can move people when I sing...I move them right on out of the room and the tears are definitely not tears of joy.

2) I would love to teach...and that is doable. As someone who could never have children...I believe that there is no greater gift than in making a difference in the life of a child. The rewards would be amazing...and there is such a great calling for educators.

Question:
There are three things that you would consider as "deal breakers" in a marriage/relationship that would cause the marriage/relationship to end. What are they?
1)
2)
3)
p.s. I have to think that my parents had incredible patience with me as an opera loving child...every Saturday I would play live at the Met and sing along with it. Oh my goodness I cannot sing...it must have been brutal. I still love the opera and go to the Virginia Opera with them in their box seats and quietly wish that it was I that could sing like that.

Damm, I have done alot of weird things... not sure I should post them for all the world to see... ha ha.

When I was a kid living in Scotland, myself and a couple of friends used to run away alot and we lived in a small town so of course we were always returned to our parents pretty fast. One day we got the idea to switch clothes with each other for a disguise thinking it would be harder to recognise us. I'll be dammed if we didn't get picked up by the same Bobby that always ended up returing us home.

What do you find sexiest about a member of the opposite sex?

I met a woman one time that purred. Chest vibrating purr like a cat does. Strange as it may sound that is the sexiest thing i have encountered yet. I am so going to get a lot of crap for that answer but then again if you weren't prepared for the answer ..ask not the question.

If you could define your personality in terms of an animal..what animal would you be? Try not to use the ones on POF.

I would define myself in terms of a doberman (and not just because I have a doberman). The doberman is elegant and incredibly intelligent...and slightly brilliant - possessing an above average ability to understand tasks with reason under duress..they are beautiful, loyal and always a little bit silly at times. When push comes to shove they are fiercely protective of those that they love...as am I. The dogs are simply stunning...and care about how they look - and stand with the greatest stature...but I admire the folks in the UK and Europe who do not crop their tails nor do they dock their tails.

Oops...did I put modest too?

1) Golfing
2) Road trips
3) Going out to dinner / movies / concerts

OK - the movie is "Bridges of Madison County" Hopefully I'm not the only person in the world who saw it.

Would you have left with 'your soul mate' or stayed on the farm?

I would have left. She didn't leave because she didn't feel for him what he felt for her, hin my opinion he was the far nobler of the two. Speaking of which if you liked this you have to read the follow up. I was in tears from almost start to finish.

A Thousand Country Roads is aptly described on the book jacket as an epilogue to Bridges. It is exactly that. This new book shows us some of the inbetween spaces in the lives of Robert and Francesca. A Thousand Country Roads aims to answer some questions about what happened to the two lovers after their affair at Roseman Bridge. What it does, and does well, is give us more insight into how the events in Bridges affected both Francesca and Robert and how they deal with it. Interestingly, for both people, a nostalgic journey is in the works.

Adding some excellent new characters and a few very clever twists, Robert Waller has recreated a lot of the magic of Bridges in this new tale. Readers who loved Bridges will anxiously follow the paths of Robert and Francesca as they explore what happened over those stolen four days, and examine what their lives have become Because of its nature though (it is an epilogue), it is certainly not going to be enjoyed by anyone who hasn't already read Bridges of Maisdon County.

The magic of Bridges is sustained in A Thousand Country Roads, and, a decade later, Robert Waller is back on the map. An execllent way to complete the picture for anyone who read and loved The Bridges of Madison County.

Wow...I loved that book and film a great deal and always mourned with Francesca the power of that love she shared with him...and the dreaded "what if"...I had a beautiful mourning dove that would visit me all of the time and I named her Francesca...her mourful coos would remind me of Francesca mourning the one that she lost. Mourning doves always mate for life...and maybe there is something to that...

oops...sorry scotlandforever, let me answer your question...yes yes yes and yes we have soulmates...but not for every part of our soul. We love...someone touches a part of our soul that has never been touched before and we are never the same again.

As for the depths of my soul? That is the envelope that has yet to be touched...and somehow I just hope and believe that the best is yet to come.

I believe in Soulmates, thought I found mine, and had to walk away.

I don't believe that there is just one though. With as many people that walk this earth there has to be more than one. God can not be that cruel - and make each of us search for our souldmate like the proverbial 'needle in the haystack'.

Heck, I have at least another 50+ years to find mine.. just hope it's sooner than later.

oops I guess I answered at the same time as mmagnet...so let me answer her question

I am very private about my faith...but I know that when I die I believe I am going to heaven...and there I will live my new life. There is a song by the Weston Priory Monks..on the CD "Listen" and written by Gregory Norbert - a monk.

Here are the lyrics:

Come back to me with all your heart,
don't let fear keep us apart.
Trees do bend, tho' straight and tall;
so must we to others' call.

Long have I waited for your coming
home to me and living deeply our new life.

The wilderness will lead you
to your heart where I will speak.
Integrity and justice
with tenderness you shall know.

Long have I waited for your coming
home to me and living deeply our new life.

You shall sleep secure with peace;
faithfulness will be your joy.

Long have I waited for your coming
home to me and living deeply our new life.

That statement always amazed me and I would have to say that the person who originated it never loved a person in their entire life. While we take away something from every relationship we have and hope that each is a positive experience, the only thing that we take away from a true love lost is the pain of knowing what it felt to be in total and utter bliss and joy and the realization that life will never be that sweet again. Every relationship after that is but a shadow of what you know you had and is somewhat bittersweet and you find yourself resisting the urge to become emotionally detached.

I will stick with the 5 influences and ask what 5 Songs have touched you the most?

My fondest memories are when my grandfather would take me fishing and bowling and then afterwards going to the grocery with me standing on the end of the cart. He would run down the aisles, it was always late at night we would bump into things and he would keep on going lol.

Q: What is your best 'Grandma' or 'Grandpa' memory?

A: I would have to say, my best memory is when I would spend time out on my grandparents ranch during the Jul 4th holiday, trying to learn how to bareback ride (key is try) LOL and shooting fireworks off all night long.

Q: If you had a million dollars what would you do with it?

A: Initially take care of paying off the generic bills, place some money into an account for the kids to go to school on, place some into saving/investments for the future, and take family / my significant other on a vacation, where, hmm different place each year, just to keep life exciting. Give some of it to a worthy charity, which one, not sure, there are so many worthy ones.

The simplest thing that I can think of is a simple touch when you pass each other...a look across the room when you are at a party and you know that there are a zillion reasons you are together...a naughty post it note in their wallet letting them know what you plan to do to them when you get home...a sweet and simple I LOVE YOU text message on their phone...and a wonderfully relaxing backrub for a half of an hour...relaxing them from their worries of the day.

As someone who was never blessed with children...this is one question I cannot answer but would like you to answer: What three wishes would you wish for your child in the next ten years?

The Best part about dating is the 'courtship' part that we all know and love. The talking, laughing, going places & doing things 'together'.

The Worst part? When you have to make the ultimate decision to stay and pursue a relationship or leave... leaving of course sucks.

Q: What do you consider a simple but wonderful thing you WOULD do that does not involve money for a significant other?

A: After getting to know someone, and during a conversation during a day, just calling them up to say “hi” and just wanted to let them know I was thinking of them and missed the sound of their voice. If they were having a bad day, before they get home from work, sneak over and have a dinner waiting on them when they get home. A simple candlelight dinner with relaxing conversation, glass of wine chilled for them, then afterwards, maybe cuddle up and watch a movie while massaging her feet and taking the stress of the day away.

Q: As someone who was never blessed with children...this is one question I cannot answer but would like you to answer: What three wishes would you wish for your child in the next ten years?

A:
1) Happiness
2) Contentment
3) Peace

Q: What do you consider the best and worst part of dating?

A: The worst part of dating is initially getting to know a person and establish communication; the best part is the feeling of looking forward to seeing and talking to that special someone.

Q: When did you stop believing in Santa?

A: WHAT, there’s not a Santa Claus? OMGGGGGGGGGG!

Q: What is your favorite Food?
