You can even download lots of his music free on his website.

| the Grateful Dead, Dylan, Wilco, the Band, and the like Posted: 10/4/2009 8:31:26 PM | | I have been listening to the Grateful Dead for many years and glad to say I made more than a few concerts. It was always special and a party. Into Wilco also. I think one band that has been left out from back in the old days is Barefoot Jerry. They made some great music. Had a harmonica player that when on to record with everyone it country music by the name of Charlie McCoy. Got to say that Neil Young has probably done as much for this area of music as anyone and still is out there doing it. His song list is a mile long and it's a great one to boot! Just my two cents. | |

This summer I saw him, Willie Nelson and John Mellencamp on thier minor league ballpark tour. It was the best ever. Dylan's band was the best I had heard since Levon and boys were backing.
There ought to be a seperate Americana sub-genre for Texans. You can live there, but if you ain't born there you will always be just passing through neighbor. How about Slaid Cleves... for a kid he does alright.
