Why couldn't he say he loved NY and wanted to end his career there in the first place? Schilling did that for Boston. ARod only went back to NY when there were no other offers. Geez, the man plays baseball. He doesn't save lives or make a difference in the world, and I would feel guilty wanting that kind of money to play a sport, but that's just me I guess  | |

I was in Tucson watching a spring training game a few years back..a bunch of school kids were sitting right by first base, when some guy from way up heckled him JUST A LITTLE. Everett turns towards the stands, sees the kids, and spews out some profanity that would make a sailor blush..much less kids. Everyone began to really let him have it..he scowled, and Joey Cora had to chill him out. They ended up pulling him at the end of the inning

but he DID NOT beat his wife, please know your facts before stating it.....
him AND his wife sued a radio station for making false claims....
I dont like men who beat women, but women or anybody else for that matter claims to be a victim of domestic violence when it DOESNT happen is just as bad as a women beater themselves....
cheating on your wife, and beating your wife is two VERY different things...

please show me where I said this?.....I was a bouncer at a strip club, a ex boyfriend came in and slugged a stripper in the arm, I took him outside and almost killed the guy, it took two other bouncers for me to get off of him....
I saw my mother get beat by an exboyfriend when I was 12....

Posted: 5/28/2008 4:48:10 PM | Im going with Dana White, one of the owners of the UFC. Ive seen EVERY UFC fight since 1993 and have enjoyed most of them. Before White and his 2 partners, Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta, bought the UFC in 2001, the fights cost 19.99 and were only on about 4 times a year. Since then, White has flooded the fans with a PPV at least once a month with terrible cards for an inflated price of a mere 44.99 now. How can the fans actually keep up? Ill give it to him though: he HAS improved the sport 10 fold, but at the expense of the fans. He sounds unprofessional when he speaks, he degrades his OWN fighters in public, and basically is an overall jackass.
Thank god there are going to be more UFC-type leagues opening up in the near future to give the UFC a run for their money, which is what Dana seems is more important than its fanbase. We will see how HE likes the competition when fighters from the UFC transfer to these different leagues.

Sure he should not of done the dog fighting thing, but he should not of been pointed out and singled out like he was. I am damn sure there are others out there who do it all the time or use other animals for their own sick enjoyment.
The fact that you people(not all of you but society in general) are shaking your heads at athletes one minute for cheating or doing something illegal and the next minute cheering for them and voting them as MVP of their sport, makes you just as bad as them. Its not as if the rest of the world is innocent and does not commit these crimes on a daily basis. A guy who is doing good and bringing publicity to a dying sport makes one little mistake, should not have his career ruined over it unless it was murder. People cheat and break the law all the time, should their lives be ruined and publicized in the same manner?
If you are talking about the biggest douche IN sports and who earns this title during game time, I would have to say either Chris Simons or Claude Lemieux. There was nothing sportmanship like in their career. | |
