| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/8/2008 5:10:33 AM | | Of course women like to look at men, they just shouldn't be rude about it. I think that's a crime they call SEXUAL HARRASSMENT. | |

Sure,,of course i know men are more visual and are going to 'look'. But,,there is a difference between just merely looking and noticing to downright head being bent down and eyes being glued and talking to the boobs like they are gonna hold a 2 way (er uh,,,3 way lol) conversation. That,my friend,,IS being disrespectful. When i see a handsome man walking thru a door, you betcher butt im gonna look, but i wont let my eyes feast on his crotch the entire time (well if i do, illl do it descreetly LOL).
John,,i did not say someone just merely looking at a womans assets are being disrespectful. What i said and maybe i wasnt clear, is when men are talking at a womans boobs rather than to her face. Example,,,,if i am out someplace having a conversation with a man and he is obviously gawking at my boobs while carrying on a conver with me,,that is disrespectful. ' Hi, my name is Brad, whats yours" *staring at boobs'....'My name is Tracy. Nice to meet you',,,,,"Nice to meet you too" *still staring at boobs'. ' So Tracy, would you like to dance?' *staring at boobs* .....' No thanks Brad, but since you've been staring at my boobs during this whole conversation, why dont you ask them??'
Cant answer you on a why a woman would keep on talking to him, but i can tell you that 'I' would be immediately stand-offish, say something rude, then walk away.
I still stand by my comment that men are more visual than women. No doubt women look too,,,i do. BUT,,,,if a gorgeous, naked woman with a body to die for went walking by, its a good bet that 'most' mens eyes are going to pop outta their heads and may even um,,get a lil 'sexcited'. A gorgeous naked man with a body to die for walks by a woman and she's gonna think 'WOW! Whatta body!,,,,but our hormones dont go into overdrive like a mans will. Granted,,'some' womens will, but most wont.

Well no I just think that if a lady is wearing inappropriate clothes all types of people stare....
What is inappropriate to you,,,Tony? Is it a low cut blouse? (should women wear turtle necks like Robin said?) Is it a tank top that has 20% spandex made into it so its clingy? (should we women wear moomoo type tops?) Is it a gorgeous gown that dips down into a 'V' in the front that does show a bit of cleavage? (thats it, no more fancy shin-digs where black tie is required).

| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/8/2008 9:11:04 AM | Tracy, Tracy, Tracy............... I originally said that I don't think its disrepectful to look, I agreed with you about a guy talking to your boobs is disrepectful. I will tell you now if we ever meet in person I'm going to look you straight in the eye when I'm talking to you but the minute you start talking I'm going to stare at your chest. Not because I'm disrepectful but I'm too much of a smarta** not too!!!!!!!
I still don't agree with you about men being more visual than women. How they react to what they see is a different issue. I think you are right about many men start to think with their small head much of the time when they see a woman. But the men who are that way don't even need to see a lot of skin to be "horn dogs". They are always sniffing out their next victim much the way a hound dog looks for a scent to follow. Once they find their prey they revel in the success of the hunt and look forward to the finding a new scent to follow.
I have to say (this isn't the first time I've said this) that I wouldn't want to be a woman because of the way too many men act and think. I wonder how some guys would feel if their mother, sister or daughter were treated the same way that they, themselves, treat women. My guess is most wouldn't like it, then again there are probably some that couldn't give a damn because all they care about is themselves!!!!!!
Tracy we may never agree on the visual issue and that is fine. Neither of us has been disrepectful to the other even though we disagree. I think this type of thing is missing much of the time in society today, being mature enough to still respect someone we don't agree with.

| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/8/2008 3:34:04 PM | Well I guess what your idea of inappropriate is and mine is may differ because I don't believe I have ever worn anything inappropriate in my life! Do I wear attractive sexy clothes? yes, at times. Does that mean a man has the right to stare at them while talking to me? Does it mean it's my fault? No way! No it does not...try it and you may come away feeling embarrassed. I accept being looked at...it's a compliment. I am talking about men talking to my chest or oggling from across the room non stop. Guys need to get a grip on their brain. There's more to a woman with big boobs then sex.
Yes Tony, I do enjoy looking at men...not with my tongue on the floor and my eyes glued to their crotch.

| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/8/2008 4:43:02 PM | I one of many believers, that "human assets" are viewed (not judged)(by male and female both) because of a genetic code we are programmed with. If you read any articles on prehistoric behavior, vis-a-vis present day, it in fact lies with our roots, to that end it's appropriately coined as, "preservation of the species".
With all the emphasis on sexuality in the last 50 years, and with all the TV commercials, ie. Victoria's Secret, etc., it is difficult for we males to not look. It's what we do as males to process the visual information, when we do look. Respectfully, a glance and a smile is all that's needed. If you get caught, well you did get caught. If you look and continue to stare and have the conversation with her boobs, then as a male, your value system is not rooted in the intelligence and chemistry of the woman, moreover the male is focused only on the visual. Expressing sexuality is not bad, when done in tastefully. Conversely, women who advertise it liberally should come to expect, men will not respect their ideals, rather the visual is all they need to satisfy them, mostly for the short term. That speaks volumes about a male's value system. A man's first instinct of attracton is the visual. Hence, a woman has to make a decision on what kind of man she wants to attract.
If people dress in good taste with some hint of sexuality (cleavage, open shirt, shirt and tie, etc.) then the probability increases a respecting person of the opposite sex may be attracted. Dressing real trashy in public will bring , well you already know the answer.
The only judging needing consideration, is what to wear tonight? Thank God for Valentines Day and Sweetest Day, lol..

| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/8/2008 6:00:03 PM | Robitty, good point. Leave the open shirts for the bedroom on Valentines Day.
What I really meant in my reply was for the guy to wear an open shirt, or shirt/tie..
But you'd look really good in a business suit too!
|
| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/8/2008 6:17:16 PM | Ohhhh Sun E ....I don't really think Joanne wanted the world to know what happened, but we now know who the world's biggest gossips are, it's men, men, men! jeepers creepers they can't keep a secret! Never fear, she'll be back in a flash to oggle your behind!!!
Badmustang...just teasing, I knew you didn't mean women for the open shirts, LOL...I think

| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/8/2008 7:21:11 PM | Rip said "*ahem tho you are still wrong!*"
Robin said "John can I pretty pleeeze be there when you meet Rip for the first time??? I wanna watch her clobber you when you're staring at her girls And btw....she's right ya know, hehehe"
They say two "wrongs" don't make a "right", these two ladies just proved that theory wrong!!!!! They both know I'm right but won't admit it, luckly I don't have any kind an ego issue or I might be upset.
Robin, if Tracey and I meet and you are there I'm sure no one is going to get clobbered or hurt. Well maybe the next day all three of us would be little sore from laughing so much the night before!!!!!!
|
| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/9/2008 3:48:00 AM | Awww john I was just messing with you We love you to much to clobber one little hair on your head And I bet Rip, you and I would have a great time together laughing the night away...so when's the big event planned? LOL! | |
|
| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/9/2008 9:20:48 AM | we all dress to look attractive to the opposite sex is just depends HOW attracted you want them to be !!! it's a fine line we tread!
some women don't look at the obvious body parts of a man - but will notice the hair, the face, the forearms, or the hands.
and that important first impression when you walk into a room - it's all about body language and your stance
|
| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/9/2008 9:41:43 AM | Hey, I heard something interesting on the radio. They say a lady's voice gets sexier if she is in her receptive period. I have heard in the past that also is the case in dressing with colors and the like.
So maybe that has something to do with it too.
Either way, I think that it's definitely more sexy to show a lil less than everything. I know I hate to go into those bars where the servers are like wearing nothing. I just have so much trouble not seeing their skin, and I am not the type to stare at those parts. At least not until it becomes a personal thing.
<div class="quote"> and that important first impression when you walk into a room - it's all about body language and your stance
Soladies tell us guys, what is the best body language and stance? And don't say, we can't tell cuz we want to be mysterious.

| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/9/2008 11:34:55 AM | | Mi freshstart, interesting about what male things gals look at. I've been told or read where its the smile, the eyes, and yes the hands(well kept or working hands, and hand size), and the butt of course. See, I think this all roots back to primal times and hearing different opinions actually demonstrates mostly that researchers hit the nail on the head. It's still primal motivation. However, I've yet to see a primate in a well tailored suit, unless you were watching the TV series, "Cavemen", lol.. I'd like to hear more about what women would want men to show off, like you said body language, etc. but also what about clothes, styles, etc. | |
|
| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/9/2008 11:50:56 AM | hehhehe Robin,,, well Mr. Rodney over there was being a tad bit cheesy,,so i had to be too! LMAOOO
Badmustang,,,,,yup your words were very well written! Thank you for being a 'typical male' and actually understanding 'our'point of view!!
I have to agree with Robin and John,,the 3 of us would have a greattttt time! *hmmm,,,wondering what items of clothing to wear...* haha!
OT: Would wearing a mini skirt with no panties be inappropriate?

Hmm,,,what makes me turn my head and tug my glasses down my nose is when i see a man walking thru the door wearing a nice pair of Levis's, black cowboy boots, a nice dresshirt tucked in, neat short hair, a sexy gotee (yup imma sucker for gotees lol), a killer smile, and mmmmm smelling soooooo good! lol
Ahhh,,be still my heart!!
