| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/11/2008 6:31:36 PM | Hmm.. Grampa clothes? I actually had a date once with someone from another dating site and he arrived wearing what I term to be "old people pants" (pants worn almost up around his chest..lol). Now that's a turn on (NOT) I had agreed to attend his work Xmas party with him as his date. It was a very uncomfortable and longgggg evening to say the least. Made me realize that coffee meets are much more smart for the first meeting (even though I don't like coffee). | |

| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/11/2008 6:46:33 PM | Wow that's a pretty interesting date, grandpa pants.... Did he have teeth?
But seriously, was he an ok guy though?
|
| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/11/2008 6:47:38 PM | Whenever I see leather pants on a man.. I think of the Friends episode where Ross is on a date and in her bathroom with powder and lotion trying to get his off. Cracks me up! Lord I watch too much boobtube, it's rotting my brain. | |
|
| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/11/2008 6:50:28 PM | Yea but those leather pants on women! Can look sexy!
So do womena have the same problem getting them off?
|
| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/11/2008 7:16:44 PM | Leather pants on a man remind me of the lead singer of Loverboy, Mike Reno (when he was young and hot)
And no, Tony, the guy was.. strange. He even curling ironed his bangs under for our date. Kinda resembled Bill Gates (without all the money though). He looked soooo different from his picture.
|
| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/11/2008 7:27:36 PM | Curled his hair?
OMG, that is too crazy. I guess guys can have a hair style, but hmmmm....
But then pictures usually don't tell the whole story, do they?

| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/13/2008 4:49:09 PM | Well as a well endowed in the chest section myself I can wear about anything and still have the topic of converstation stray too "how big are those anyways" most of the time that statement alone will mostly likely not get much farther then that and I walk away and avoid the person all together .
But I not saying every converstation gravitates towards my assets. Most men seem to be little bit more descreet when looking or polite enough not to express tasteless commits.
And I do admit I do prefer to wear something comfortable and appealing not just for the individuals I will be around but for my ownself. I dont try to "put them out there" like most people tend to believe that I do but why should I have to cater too the fancy of others when I am comfortable with my own body as to wear something that I myself find appealing .

GREAT answer right there!! There are quite a few men out there who seem to think that we women dress only for THEM! Not to say that some women dont cuz im sure there are women who have a lil motive in the backs of their minds but heck, alot of us do wear what we wear cuz we OURSELVES like it and think the outfit is cute, or comfy.
K,,,nuff said,.,,gotta get back to work! lol

I have never thought women dressed just for us men. I think that we are a factor most of the time in their decision though. When they go out and put on something they think is appealing to themselves they think that men will find it appealing too. I could care less if a woman dresses for me. Now if she wants to undress for me thats a whole different subject!!!!!!!!!
Hells AKA Beth......send me an email if you would. I can't send you one and I want to talk to you.............. and yea you know who I am!!!!!!!!!!

| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/14/2008 9:11:43 AM | rip, rip , rip........... EVERYONE that thinks what they are wearing is appealing thinks that other gender will find it appealing too or at least to the type of person they want to attract!!!!!!!!!!!!! Better?????? Even those that aren't single tend to dress in the same way they did when they met their partner.
Just for the record, I have no idea why some people think the way they do about many things, both men and women, and if I ever figure out how women think I guess I could start dressing so they would all want my old ugly azz!!!!!!!
Naw not even being able to figure out how a women think would help!!! I'm just too honest so I would probably repel the most women because I'm not going to tell them what they want to hear!!!!!!!!!! Its king of funny how most PEOPLE say they want someone honest yet they can't handle the truth. Maybe people should start saying "I want someone who honestly agrees with me".
rip I will try to make it perfectly clear from this point forward to explain if some thing I say is gender specific just for you. I am a male though, so you should expect me fail quite often!!!!!!!!<img src=http://www.plentyoffish.com/smiles/icon_204.gif border=0>
Beth I don't live close enough to email you........just send me one ........thanks

| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/14/2008 11:01:05 AM | | Ummmmmmmm knowing Johm like I do yeah he always been outspoken and never held back on his opinions . But I will say too this I always had dressed what made me feel comfortable or appealing to myself and not gonna change becuase the man I am seeing suddenly feels its too much to (or too lil) too be out in a social gathering . I do admit I do try to dress a lil bit more conservatilvly when out with my children or going too a school conference or sports event .Mainly because there are times too be lil less well exposed | |

| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/14/2008 11:53:02 AM | sorry ladies i gotta ask this. i know it doesnt apply to all of you. why is it when some women look at my stained hands they think im not a very clean person even though im sporting dress pants and a polo shirt? ive been doing manual labor in dirty environments for an easy six years and some of the "dirty" color wont wash out no matter what i use. | |
|
| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/14/2008 12:11:33 PM | They have told you this? Some people are just attracted to certain things. For example.. I have a sister that wont date anyone who does manual labor or anything outside an office. Yep, stained hands are a dead giveaway to that. She will only date guys who you can tell never picked up a hammer let alone know what one looks like. Just her preference. Other woman find men who do hard core down in the dirt work very sexy. Humans are fickle creatures, ecspecially woman, yes I said it, we're fickle!

| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/14/2008 3:44:56 PM | | Lonfriend...my first ex (damn still have hard time claiming two) did manual labor, mechanic, and had an awful time getting his hands clean. Maybe you can try some of the stuff they sell in the automotive stores or at Meijers in that dept to get them babies clean along with a hnd nailbrush...it really helped him with his...LOL, you're not gonna want to hear this but he used hand lotion every night too and it helped soften those mitts so that when he scubbed them with the hand/nail brush, it came off alot easier for him. Good luck...I know it sucks that some women see your hands and instantly think you're a slob, not that you're instead a hard working guy. | |

| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/15/2008 2:24:10 AM | EVERYONE that thinks what they are wearing is appealing thinks that other gender will find it appealing too or at least to the type of person they want to attract!
Is that what you do? You wear a specific outfit thinking that it will also appeal to women you want to attract?
Ok,,,,personally,, when i clothes shop and i find something appealing to 'my' eye,,,im not thinking to myself, ' Ohhhhh,,,i really love this top and i think the men i hope to attract will like it too!'. No. lol What i am thinking is, 'Ohhhh,,i love this top! The color looks great with my skin tone and the way its cut looks flattering on me, TO ME'. lol If men, for example, thought that the color pink was ugly and i found a cute pink top that looked great on me, im not gonna think that i cant wear that top cuz men think pink is ugly. Im going to wear that top regardless what anyone says! lol Pink happens to be my fav color and id wear it FOR ME cuz ''' i ''' like it,,not for anyone else. Another good example i just thought of. In a previous post i stated i do wear a lot of over-sized shirts (and that includes my scrub tops). When id gone shopping with a gf to buy a new outfit because we were going out, i naturally always picked out tops that were large. She'd make comments and try to talk me out of it. lol I make my selections based on what i like,,not on what someone thinks will attract the men to me.
|
| Judging us by what we wear? Posted: 5/15/2008 6:39:50 AM | Rip....are you my twin? wow we think an awfully lot alike gf!!!! I'd be scared if i was you Pink is also my favorite color and I'm with you...it's all about me! i go shopping for what I love, the color, the cut, the style and nothing that clings now that i'm not a size 4 any more, sighh. My friends too try to talk me into smaller sizes,,,no way, it was all good when I was thin but girls who wear tight fitting clothes in MY opionion....(please note just my own opinion) and have six rolls hanging out do not inspire sexiness. Big girls can look sexy and hot, with a little cleavage showing too....just not those tight fitting tops a size too small! blah! If men like my clothes ok...if not, ok too, I'm not dressing for strangers.
Awww Hodgie, you are so good for my ego
So does this mean John thinks we should go dress him?
Amy....no way, far far far too pretty to dress to scare...LOL gf! I promise to fall over in dmiration of your outfit at the bay city party!
