This is such a funny forum...I have had guys give me their numbers and ask me for mine while I was out with guy friends, and out on dates...I think a date is just a date, and if your with someone then you obviously are with someone...however I don't take guys numbers when i am on a date date nor so I give mine away..its kind of respectful to be with who you are with for that time...

I'm with Leanne. If I am with a male friend, out with an ex (like I was two weeks ago), or meeting someone I wasn't interested in, and someone crossed my path that I really wanted to know better, you bet your azz I'd make conversation, explain my situation and get/leave contact information. Why wouldn't I? It's rare but it does happen. I wouldn't say go looking for it, but hey don't let it slip by either....you'll just kick yourself; why would you want to? When you're single, if you're not involved seriously, it's open season. If you are involved and you're constantly bumping into people you'd want to date instead of the one you're with - it's time to do a bit of research on the situation you're in. You obviously aren't into it. JMO.

while she was on a date with another guy. .....So you 'assumed' she was on a date with a guy? How do you know it wasn't her brother or cousin or maybe just a friend? She probably thought it would be rude to converse with you whilst she was with her male friend/brother/cousin or perhaps she was a little shy to approach you for a conversation. She obviously was interested in you and didn't want to experience the "Ships in the night" thing, so she slipped you her number.....Call her and find out what the story is then go from there.
