| Freedom without Responsibility
Posted: 5/12/2008 3:19:44 PM | Sometimes I think there ought to be a license or something very strict about bringing kids into this world. It's far too easy to bring them into the world, and not so easy to provide them with a loving home where they can get the education, food, clothing, shelter, health care, and a parent who is a parent, not best friend.
IMO - if folks want to rely on the government to help subsidize their kids, then I think there ought to be mandatory sterilization. That may seem harsh, but when there are some that have kid after kid, like a dog having puppies, then I don't think society much less the government should have to raise these kids.
With freedom comes responsibility. As a world, as a society, I think it's time to get back to the basics and hold people accountable for their actions. Not have the world bail us out, or "owe us". | |
