| How far is too far? Posted: 7/11/2008 11:52:41 AM | For love... I would travel the world.
Hello... yes, I know I do not currently live on the Island, but I used to, does that count? :-D

| How far is too far? Posted: 7/21/2008 3:40:47 PM | Hey Nancy, these are "Global Forums". Sure they're broken down geographically and by topic, however; We are all still free to post in any forum/thread that draws our interest. There are Lots of people who don't live on PEI that post here, including some who criticize others for the same thing! ahem
Too far is how far too far is. Either it's a trip that can be made or it's not. Depends on the parties involved. I know people who've gone from this little Island to BC, Alberta, Australia, England .. all for love. I don't think there's such a thing as 'too far' so long as one or both can realistically do the trip. Lets face it, had my "friend" from Ohio been the love of my life, there's a good chance one of us would have (at least) a dual citizenship!
We can stand a whole lot more people visiting PEI - and I'm not just talkin forums!
"Come Play on My Island" !!
Need a tour guide???? We are surrounded by beaches - most of them aren't known by tourists. nudge nudge!! lol
I'd love to go to BC, if only I had the airfare .. sigh ..

| How far is too far? Posted: 7/25/2008 9:27:47 AM | OH OH! I did it again! Went and stated my two cent's worth without realizing that some people might not understand what I meant!
The thing of it is this, the thread was about how far was too far to travel to meet someone, and Gary's post came from Britain, I just thought it was really funny that he would reply to that particular thread considering the very great distance between Great Britain and PEI.
Of course anyone can post in any thread on POF, and that's the joy of it all for sure. BUT, it just struck me so odd that he might have replied to that one, when he could have chosen from so many other subjects instead. It seemed to me that it might have made more sense to reply to some other, rather than that particular one. Forgive me, please, I have an odd sense of humor.

yeah .. odd how someone from so far away would post in a thread titled "how far is too far?" .. lmao ..
I know a woman from Summerside who met a guy from England - she's been there with him for a few years now .. I guess it wasn't too far for her! ;)
I'd personally LOVE to go to Australia, cept it would take a 'well off' Auzzie to take care of "That" airfare! .. or the winning 649 ticket .. hmmmm... gotta run .. there's a ticket with my name on it!

| How far is too far? Posted: 7/27/2008 4:55:39 PM | I have someone truely wonderful coming from Calgary this week for 2 weeks. So how far is too far? There is no distance that's too far when two people care about each other and have the need to meet and see if the chemistry is as strong as it has been via phone and pc. There is no distance too far, you just have to keep an open mind on "what if"

| How far is too far? Posted: 7/31/2008 2:16:17 PM | Oh boy have a done a 100 turn on this one lol.
I met up with a childhood friend, actually our Moms were best friends,so as children we spent a lot of time together. We were always at their house or they at ours.
He now lives in Alberta, while home on vacation, we started to hang out.He wanted more I told him It's too weird, were like family.
He would just laugh telling me how silly I was, that were adults and it didn't matter.
Then he started to talk about us being a couple,ok I kinda flipped at that one,me live in Alberta, leave my kids and Grandkids not happening,or so I thought.
After a lot of talk we are going to try it,I'm going out their end of August for a month or so,he left my return ticket open.
I guess what I am trying to say is love can happen anywheres anytime, you just have to be open and be willing to change.
Taking risks isn't easy, but I am hoping worth it.

How far is too far? This really great guy, who dances like he was born in a ballroom comes to visit me from B.C., last week was his 2nd visit, and he promises more to come. And that no sooner happens, then I meet Mr. Could-Be-Right and he lives in my city, and is a dreamy dancer, and has a great sense of humor and is intelligent and..........somebody stop me or I'll go on like this forever!
What I'm trying to say is this, I said no to going to B.C. but if Mr. Could-Be-Right askes me to I'll go to the North Pole with him, what's up with that????????
Princess, I'm very happy for you, I have good vibes about your future, and you're in my prayers as always.
