Posted: 6/22/2008 8:54:18 AM | OP, I am sorry for all the saddness you have had in your life, but don't give up. It might take some time, some patience and some soul searching, but you will find someone.
As far as the woman who left you, consider yourself lucky. It's easy to stay together through the good times, the hard times are the true test for any relationship, people who can weather the storm together are the people who have the strongest relationships. When the chips are down and people bail, that shows you what kind of person she was and you deserve better. | |

Posted: 6/22/2008 9:13:34 AM | | hi there, i think the internet is full of players, so dont take it personally, it may just take a very long time to find a genuine relationship. i am a christian myself, and have had a very tough year, making me want to give up on god, but i know he wont give up on ,me. i live with my boys, but i am still very lonely, so i know sort of how u feel a little. start by making a big circle of friends hun, i know easier said than done, and see where you can give to the community, maybe some voluntary work, it always makes you feel good to do somehing good for others, and the way to make friends is to be a friend......contact me for a chat sometime, i need more friends too, can never have too many....god bless.x | |

Posted: 7/22/2008 4:17:59 PM | | There are thousands of people on here, feeling the same way you do and yet...we still hammer away at it, checking our email, winking, etc...all for the same reason, to find that one special person to share our life. Don't give up. Yes, you may end up a lonely old man but at least you know you tried. The flip side of this is maybe, just maybe, you'll find someone who is worthy of your love. Yes, I said "worthy" because that's what we all deserve. It's just like anything in this life, if you don't try, then you failed. Keep yourself out there regardless. Don't go looking for love, if you're suppose to find it, it will find you. In the meantime, start out as friends first, the rest comes later. You have to have this as a basis in any relationship, whether or not it turns romantic. If it turns romantic, then you've hit the lottery, if it stays as a friendship, then you've won the lottery too (just not as big of a jackpot, lol). I'm sorry about your wife but I'm sure she give you the same advice if she could talk to you. As far as that other woman, she wasn't right for you, when you love, you love through thick and thin. Just remember that if youve ever experienced your true soulmate then no one can replace that, so dont expect it to be the same. Everyone is different, try not to compare or youll be dissapointed. Just accept new person as they are and embrace the newfound love. Some people never experience that, let alone twice in thier life. Count your blessings if you want to continue to look. Never say never and never give up. But honestly you may have to look in a broader areas to find her. Do things, get out. You find love in the oddest places. Look outside the box. Rule out only huge deal breakers and list the positive.
Gee, if I only could take my own advice. Many on other sites are on here.
Go where ever the crowds are. You have to be open to receive love. You will get it.
Don't even think about what you were and embrase the new you. All that needs to be siad is your wife passed, you got ill, better now. How about a movie? | |
