Should the topic have been about someone to rate your Story. I
think maybe your attempting to write a book and getting the opions of
others to see if they enjoy reading your story.Which would it be?
It's BOTH because his story is ALSO a part of his PROFILE. His style
of writing is just how he expresses himself. He uses stories to convey his good
qualities to his audience.
He already KNOWS where to get feedback for his creative writing as he
contributes to that forum as well. No, this is not a ploy to get people
to read his stories.
He is asking for profile reviews and was getting them just fine.
If you have nothing to offer to the reviewing of his profile, then please bow out. | |

I've tried to cheat the system before - tried to make my profile longer. I'm new to computers (last year and a half, or so). The first time I was on this site, I didn't know how these things worked. I tried different approaches to get more profile writing space. I wrote the first sentence, then scrolled down down down, and wrote the final sentence. Then I filled all the space between with words. It didn't work. Finally, I realized, the amount of profile space you get is determined by the number of characters used. There is no way around it.
Oh well.
Hey, I just noticed, I've had over 1000 hits on this review. Someone suggested I was simply attempting to draw attention to my writing. Well, not really, but seems I did, anyway. If it hadn't been for that post, this thread would of sunk into the abyss by now.

Also, I think it would help to have your pic up for rating. Now before you tell
me how shallow that is, I have good reason for suggesting it. Since you seem
reticent about making first contact, this would give you a good excuse to actually
send the first message. The ladies that rate you highly on your pic are obviously
going to be more receptive to hearing from you, and might help give you an
incentive to be more pro-active in your search. | |

That surprised me, too. When I put it on an old profile and it didn't glow blue. This time it did. In the past, I've received e-mail from people commenting about that interest. People think it means "stirring up trouble." It doesn't. It means something from my childhood and my habit of revisiting trouble when I was a kid.
I think it would help to have your pic up for rating.
I did put that photo up for ratings for a short time and got a lot of tens. Most of those tens came from people I already knew. Others came from people hoping I would return the favor. No one local gave me a ten, though. I didn't really make it into the Hot 500 - I just made that part up. | |

reason it's searchable is because two other people also have it as an interest.
I guess it becomes searchable if at least one other person puts it down as an
interest.
So with that in mind, go to your profile and click on all your *Blue* interest and
see what you can find. Also, you should add about ten more searchable ones to
that short list there. Hope this helps! | |

because two other people also have it as an interest.
I considered it an original interest, so when it came up blue the second time I put it on my profile, I was, um, annoyed.
I'll have to come up with some more interests - some searchable, others unique to my profile.
