So you don't believe there's any difference between lying (intentionally misstating the truth) and being misinformed? The idea that Bush was the first person to believe that Iraq had WMDs is laughable. Nearly the entire world believed it and the only major powers that were against going to war were against it because of the money they would lose.
Umm, even the CIA were telling him there is nothing there. You honestly buy that line from him and his admin that they were mis informed?
Do a thread search on Iraq. There are literally tonnes of threads on these forums that completely discredit just about everything Bush has claimed on the matter. Threads with solid references.
Haliburton has been doing this kind of work for many, many years. It doesn't matter if the VP or anyone else gets rich off this as long as Haliburton can do the job better than anyone else.
Lol, you can't be serious.

The UN had investigated Iraq found no WMD and I don't think the rest of the world believed otherwise. If they did you would have had a lot more support and the potential for a legal "war" The initial coalition consisted of 49 nations. A couple have asked to be removed from the list, mainly Costa Rica and Turkey, but by any standard, that's a lot of support or at least, agreement.
Also, the UN Security Council voted unanimously on Resolution 1441 which required the disarmament of Iraq. Why would the entire Security Council approve a resolution that they knew was based on a false pretense?

Why would the entire Security Council approve a resolution that they knew was based on a false pretense? Why ???? because it suits their agenda. Nothing that has been done since 2003 makes any sense apart from the simple fact that the rich are taking full advantage of every posibility to get richer. It's really very simple , They know that 80 percent of the population are too busy being ignorant to what is happening so they take and take and take until there is nothing left. How much did you pay for groceries last week ? how much did it cost you to drive to work ? think about it you are being duped !

Another reason for this is because GWB told them if he didn't have their support he was going to go ahead with it anyway without their support.

.... bro, if you don't think there were loads of backroom deals going on to get the "coalition of the willing" together you would be deluding yourself. Costa Rica? are you kidding? Have you seen a list of those countries? It is a total joke....i bet you can find the list somewhere written in crayon by Colin Powell.....
....and don't forget that as soon as they realized (or admitted to themselves that it was BS) they quickly became the Coalition of the GONE.......

Posted: 5/30/2008 9:58:18 AM | | Imagine what a potential "coalition of the willing" might look like if they did try to attack Iran, I mean after having lost basically all international credibility (this administration at least) -- and most domestic credibility as well for that matter, when it comes to "necessary" invasions. Let's see, you might have, Liberia (nominally, maybe); Israel (nominally but acting in a strictly "advisory" capacity of course); the federated states of Micronesia (?); the Republic of Kosovo (I believe the US quickly recognized them, so...); you forgot Poland (which would mean 50 Poles in exchange for cash and military handouts of course) ...... any other friends left who'd be willing to go that far anymore, to even nominally support the US on a "pre-emptive" invasion of Iran?? I doubt the UK would even touch that one, after the last (ongoing) debacle. Who knows, maybe tons would jump on board and I'm way off, but I just find it hard to believe that very many would nowadays....

Man would I like to introduce you to my son. First, they're not just getting rich, they're raping the American taxpayers. Second, they're not doing the job - their sub-rate work has COST TWELVE US SERVICEMEN THEIR LIVES. That particular problem has been going on for three years now. They gave my kid a rubber glove to turn the shower on and told them to be careful - NEVER told them about the deaths.

During his two tours of duty serving as a special forces soldier in Iraq, Ryan D. Maseth had cheated death on more than a few occasions including one incident, in December 2005, where he escaped injury while protecting a polling place after he ran towards enemy fire attempting to help his fellow soldiers repel an attack after their Humvee was hit with a improvised explosive device (IED).
Maseth, 24, of Shaler, Pa., outside Pittsburgh, was electrocuted on Jan. 2 when an improperly grounded electric water pump short-circuited and flowed through the pipes. Since the coiled hose was touching his arm, he was hit with an electrical jolt and went into cardiac arrest and died.

An auditing board sponsored by the United Nations recommended Friday that the United States repay as much as $208 million to the Iraqi government for contracting work in 2003 and 2004 assigned to Kellogg, Brown & Root, the Halliburton Co. subsidiary.
How much of that money could have been used to begin rebuilding the US infrastructure? Bring our troops home and let them help rebuild our own country.

^^^ It wouldn't be an altogether bad idea for some activist group composed of lawyers and so forth to at least look into a feasibility study of a civil class action lawsuit basically, against Bush and Cheney. Possibly a few others could be named in there as well I'm sure. Grieving soldiers' families could look into filing wrongful death suits, maimed soldiers could look into what their proper compensation might be (beyond a thank you, sh!tty VA care, and a crisply folded flag of course).
