What about the man she had sex with???? Why is he exonerated, patted on the back, given an "at a boy"???? Why is it that you could not take a woman home to meet your Mother, Grandmother etc, just because she enjoys having sex with you? Maybe this is why so many men cheat on their wives???? Just my random thoughts on this double standard so many men have...sad isn't it. | |

I think that other women are more of a contributing factor regarding the label "slut". Guys may use the word sometimes but its not always in a negative context except for when maybe they had a girlfriend screw around on them. Women on the other hand use that word to describe other women they see and its always a very negative connotation. So really I think that women are more responsible for the negative implications of the word "slut". While guys that are "studs" or whatever are not typically looked at in a negative light from women. I believe it's women setting the tone in both cases. Of course I could be wrong but that is my opinion. | |

I guess it's obvious that guys who tell other guys that a woman is a "slut" are more concerned with how the guys feel about them than the woman they had sex with.
Does that mean the woman they call a "slut" might be a vicar (substitute) for the men he brags to about it?
Could this be covert homosexuality?

I don't know that such things necessarily convey that she's a slut. No doubt many believe it's bad to be a slut or to be with one. Whatever definition one applies to "slut" I think the issue here is about the sexuality the woman projects about herself. I also agree that being sexy and being beautiful are at least somewhat independent. Somewhat, because anyone feels more sexy when appearing more attractive than otherwise. Keira Knightly pops to mind... and if I had the opportunity to sex one of these women up... I'd pass. I don't really think that "slut factor" is really the concept I'm working on, though.
"She is a pristine and angelic beauty." Not sexy.
"She is ugly... but she's my kind of ugly." Hand cuff me to that, and cover for me with my parole officer.
Slut is sort of an odd word... when chatting with an ex-girlfriend I used slutty, as an adjective for her, but I really didn't mean anything derogatory by it. More that she was a sexy, liberated woman. Last week, when I visited my doctor and needed blood work, I suggested I get a full STD screen while we were at it, because "I had been kind of slutty last year." In describing my own behaviour, which was promiscuous I accepted the derogatory meaning. | |

Posted: 5/25/2008 2:25:43 AM | Tell you why, men have to work for sex, the majority of the time women could walk into a bar, say "I'm horny and I'll sleep with the first guy to show me his car keys." and she's have a line up. There's plenty of guys that will take anything they can get because it's better than nothing, it's been left up to women to be choosy and those that aren't can seriously put the mileage on.
I don't really care that they do it, I don't particularly think it's better when men do it, in the end I just don't like people that act like they're pure as jesus in a white suit in the snow but realistically ain't nothin but.
There's 2 kinds of people I respect, the ones that contain themselves until they're in some kind of relationship that's going somewhere and people that do it and freely admit they do what they do, like the pornstars that'll take 20 guys in 1 scene, they know what they are and they're fine with it and it's rare you'll ever hear them claim to be a lady of any class in any sense that's ever been put out there. | |

Slut factor is a big turn on for me. Like getting whispered to, in your ear, "I'm not wearing any underwear." But that wouldn't work if we were eating dinner with my mother. Well most of the time.
I also find being a good mother sexy. You know what else is sexy? Being served a meal. Sitting down and BAM there's dinner. Doing the dishes barefoot in a cut off shirt and daisy dukes.... Sexy! Pony tail... not sexy. Pony tail is a big flag that says leave me alone I'm busy doing something.
I've also heard that a man taking out the trash is sexy. Watching me cut the grass and work in the yard was a huge turn on for my x-wife. | |
