Above is the link to the Gympie Radar , This is what I am watching with interest. You would see Kennilworth and Malaney toward the bottom of the page , note the direction of the moderate cloud burst.
Its raining periodically here , I just want to wait til its daylight before I decide as Its a long way from Bilambil. If I am not at Yatala in time , before 8am please head to Samford without me. I may play catch up. Depends.............
Directions:
At Samford Round-a-bout , turn left up main street to Dayboro
(keep caltex servo on your left.)
In Dayboro turn right into main street (just after Police Stn)
Turn left opposite Matilda Service Stn to D'Agular and Woodford
STOP on LHS in the swimming pool carpark (Meet point)
Continue on the road to D'Agular and Woodford
Turn Left at T junction at D'Agular Pub onto D'Agular Highway
Go thru Woodford
Turn right about 5km past Woodford to Malaney , Peachester , Sunshine Coast
At the top of the windy range , turn left to Malaney (Stanley river Rd)
Follow into Malaney and Turn right at T junction into the main street
Go thru Malaney and about 10km out of town turn left to Montville and Mapleton
Go thru Montville Village
Penni Farthing Pub is on LHS
If I dont make it please ride safely and enjoy your day.

Posted: 5/31/2008 3:16:42 PM | After all the extra people coming and wanting to pillion and me not been able to get a ride it's a bit dishearting to see that NOW most of the pillions have pulled out and I could have gone on this ride but now it's too late  Had a great day/night at the bike show saw a couple of guys from the ride there, TOP day hey guys, and regardless of the late night I still would have come on the ride rain, hail or shine and now I find out there are pillion seats available and its too late for me to make the ride NOT HAPPY JAN......

Went for a cruise before the ride with a friend of Maxs .
IT WAS AWESOME !!!!!!
I can't wait for Tenterfield .

Mike your a real gentleman and THANKS for staying with me in the pouring rain and the cold. I rode my sons bike today after reading that my rider couldnt take me. The bike let me down with a fuel problem and a few other things (more water, muffler etc). Thanks guys for helping me with these too. I must say we were disappointed to end up at the penny farthing pub for lunch only to find the booking had been cancelled. We didnt know where every one was because noone told us of the change in plans this was a bugger. I think exchanging or listing mobile numbers on these days is a good idea so we communicate. I hope you all got home safe and well and i guess a HOT SHOWER WAS IN ORDER. cheers Helen | |

What can I say........ another brilliant day, despite the rain and riding thru the clouds over Mt Mee and not being able to see any further than 10 metres...................
Full marks to my pillion Kathy ( Gidget ), she was even happy when she was soaked, never panic'd and I'd be happy to recommend her to anyone looking for a good pillion.
Managed to fit in some good twisties at a reasonable pace going around the South Pine Dam, have to say GPS on the bike is a God send LOL
Got home just after 7pm so was a long day, but totally looking forward to the Tenterfield ride 
Hope to see as many as possible then...........................

The rain didn't dampen ANYONES spirits, we were all happy, having a ball,,, those pubs don't know what has hit them once we get there I think!!!!
PETE well done for the effort you put in even though you were sick as,,, look after him please and yourself "T" we need you both there next weekend!!!!
I am soooo excited about tentafield

Good idea about exchanging phone numbers Helen - at least with a few anyway. That way we can check and make sure all are safe etc as well as any changes of plans. Glad you got home OK.
Anyway - great seeing everyone again....See you next week

Just wanted to say a big thankyou to all for an enjoyable day, despite the weather.
Especially to us newbies who have never been involved in anything thing like this before, everyone made us feel very welcome.
We made it back to Toowoomba about 7.30pm with numb bums, wet and cold but all worth it.
Lookng forward to the next ride that we are able to attend.

Glad to hear everyone had a great time. Pete and I got home safe and well and nice and dry. (Oh yeah we went in the car) lol

I was in Montville at the pub, saw all the bikes and thought of you guys! Didn't realise it was actually you guys!!
Seated on that large table, in like the party area!
Anyway, we didn't stay for lunch, I was on a date with a guy I met ages ago on another dating website. But WOW, I wish I'd knew who you guys were, I would have said hello.

I also made it home alright, sang all the way home in tune with my chattering teeth, made the ride seem quicker :-)
Sorry i'll miss the Tenterfeild trip, stay safe all and enjoy.
Helen, hope your bikes right to go for the next one.
