if the nozzle on the tank on the guage is hanging from the right, then your petrol filler is on the right hand side of your car, and likewise for the left..

check it out!!

What happens if you have a filler pipe either side and one on top, like I have? Though in all fairness, the one on top leads to a separate tank.

Just going to be Mr Pedantic here, but mobile phones don't have aerials, they have antennas, (Aerials only receive signals –like your TV arial-, antennas receive AND broadcast/emit signals)

Mine doesn't have a nozzle icon. But because it's a German car, you KNOW that it's going to be where you want it, on the driver's side, not where it's easiest to put it.

I normally want it in the petrol station!

(which, thankfully, brings us back to topic, cos that's where mobiles can be dangerous!)

Mobiles have no effect in petrol stations, as it has been repeatedly proved. In fact they are as dangerous as a packet of smarties.

When mobiles first came out, it was perceived that they were a danger, hence the legislation. Since then, it has been found to be groundless, however, companies nowadays like to be ultra safe.

zackly! I nearly choked on a pack in my local petrol station, and it didn't even have the blue ones in it.
