| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/13/2008 5:07:28 AM | There's always photoshop!! When all else fails.
But that would be false advertising.
|
| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/13/2008 5:44:42 AM | | photoshop takes too long to learn . | |
|
| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/13/2008 3:05:20 PM | | Is it false advertising if you say "Results may vary according to specific conditions"? What I really mean is, is it okay to use galm shots on your profile if you specifiy that's what they are? I wouldn't use only them....don't have any on right now anyway, just me going out of the house! | |
|
| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/13/2008 5:27:35 PM | whats the idea behind glamour shots? look better than you really are?
woman grow up... watching so called hollywood beauties... listening to guys going... ohh man shes hot blah blah....
so those woman go through life... being made up to an image.. a fantasised image.... so look better than you really are?...... .. I understand what has been brought up here... why cant a normal everyday..unfamous woman feel like that for 1 day?....... its no different..
I also had some of those before they become famous pics from mags on my wall..... 1 of pammy anderson.. she was as small breasted as me.... and looked hmmm..... well lets just say. when my son was a teenage r saw it on my wall said whos that?. i said guess......he couldnt.. he went into shock/disappointment... reality ding.. finding out it was pammy.. he wanted to take the pic and show all his mates...how duped they were.. but same with marilyn monroe.... she was quite plain before she was IMAGINE_ISED turned into.. the fanatasy woman.. the other pic i had was rachel welch?.... without makeup.. etc she had a head like a slapped butt........ but hey...... men still saying geesh for her age she looks great...
its all image...... and some men donot see through or past that too reality... people say people look different in just their normal photos .... and they do.... so ive heard people who have met stars.... and although theyre made up..dressed up still.... they look differ to pics.. b/c your seeing them 1 step closer without the hype..
woman traditionally cant even say stuff about it.. b/c they are called jealous or bytchy..etc... which is unfair... b/c we are in some cases just more aware of the realities involved..
my son and 1 can discuss womans looks b/c.. im allowed an opinion ... with him.. on it... although we have different tastes in what an attractive woman is.... last time we were watching some doco on spice girls.... he said he reckoned scary spice was the best looker..i spat out my beer. and said youve got to be joking... blah blah.. in fact none of the spice girls in my opinion were attractive... but i woulda said posh....woulda been more appealing... if id had to choose.. but scary spice? damn my boy needs glasses.. but ...... im not gay so what would i know.. when my boy was growing up.. he used to say.. mum do you think shes pretty? to say a woman on an ad...... id squint.. and say hmmm i cant see into her eyes.. to see who she is... the image of her asthetically yes... but is she attractive?... id have to speak to her or see her soul........ im wearing makeup in my pics.. and i tried getting up close on the cam to show up wrinkles/scars etc..... i look differ without makeup.. and wake up with my hair everywhere 1 eye open ... and until i have 2 coffees. one for each brain cell. .. i cant even think.. let alone... look like my pics... i used to say my perfect guy is a blind orphan with a small mouth and small hands... ive not met him yet though... maybe im being too picky .. smiles/peace
|
| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/13/2008 9:38:22 PM | going to be disapointing for whoever wakes up nexto the girl the next morning when all the crap is smudges and the hair is gone..
i just dont get it, guy's dont put make up on, i look the same day/night/morning.. nothings worse than seeing a girl thinking ohh she's nice as, next morning OH GOD.. what have i done.
|
| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/13/2008 10:16:17 PM | lmaooooo....sits on opposite side of the room so I do not become collateral damage when they start shooting at him....lmaoooo
cheerz all be safe and be well
|
| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/13/2008 10:31:38 PM | pulls out a carton of tooheys... puts boots up on it.. cracks open a stubbie..puts paper bag on head... and ...... says welcome to the real world...... hey we are pointing out.. that the glamour you see on tv..... aint real....
ohh yer puts on bullet proof vest as well. so ... monarogto...... how many times have you chewed ya arm off.....ooops.... duck mate .... bullet gunna fly past.. so as we were saying?.... smiles/peace
edit to the young fella..... most blokes i know prefer their woman natural looking... but if youve ever perved on a video/music clip or movie star and thought wowe shes hot.... then thats the point... your seeing an illusion..... so if your average woman wants to feel like that for 1 day? whats the harm?.
me personally im not a glamour type.. im more tomboy.. .. i got no desire to try .. it.. cause i reckon id still .... come out looking like a tomboy.. and no offence your 21....... ive got wrinkles older than you... when your that young.. you might wake up looking da same all day... older pharts...well..... things change... hey and i freely admit a couple beers and a paperbag is glamour ...... for me..lol also to the young fella...you ever seen your mum do herself up for the night? you know she looks differ... right? thats reality men want their woman beautiful.. but your young youll realise..... what woman are made TO FEEL LIKE THEY COMPETE WITH..... aint real..

A bit past it here (well I know.... way past it!) but it would be nice for an average woman to hear.... 'phwoaarr... how hot is she!!' to live the fantasy for a short while.

| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/13/2008 10:54:27 PM | Soulmate same here I've always been a tomboy and never really bother with hair and makeup or fancy clothes but I think that's why it'd be fun to do it just once for a giggle and just for myself to look back on when im old, it's not like I'd have a gallery on display in the lounge room lol what a wank

| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/13/2008 11:04:12 PM | hey rhonda i reckon do it.. fook if i got an iron clad contract they could make me look hot... then yer id do it... but reality that comes from inside... i remember back in moses day.. before i got married .. not much confidence... went to cosmetic counter to get a PROFFESSional makup job... just to see if they could make me look you know ok for wedding.. well damn that woman was coloured blind or im a lost cause ... b/c i came out looking like biffy the clown... ...i ran home washed da chit off. just did my own makeup for wedding..... but i guess i just learnt from that.. (ohh and a hairdresser tried to make me blonde once,....... yer i shoulda sued her...but..)
that seriously id just waste my money getting a glam done.. but as i said if they could guarrantee id come out looking ok.. then why not.. ill just do a collague.... cut out someone elses body and someone elses head .. and call it a creative glamour shot..lol.. but... i reckon yes a woman if she is comfy with herself be good to get 1 done...
i dont think the young fella seen any before shots of the rich and famous... before makeup .... before surgery... etc..
anyway i must go my lighting guy is having trouble with the glare...lol... and my makeup artist... is wanting to pooof up my hair.. damn its hard looking natural.. actually to the young guy... never compare your fantasised made up unreal woman to the young woman you meet to love..... tell her shes beautiful..... look her in the eyes... give her confidence with you and i guarantee if she feels she is the most beautiful woman on earth in your eyes... she will glow// and be that..without makeup etc..... but if you say damn that pink shes hot .. etc .... then your woman will feel never quite beautiful enough.. and thats the point.. every woman has beauty... ...... and are conditioned to feel.. unless they are..(insert crapline here)... they are not good enough.. just realise all the hollywood glamour are paid everyday glamour shots... they wake up with camel breathe... no makeup etc.... and damn u ever seen brad pitt without makeup?.... hmmm yuk ok keith urban hes cute cause of that dimple.. but geesh the fantasised men are wearing makeup also... smiles/peace

| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/14/2008 12:29:20 AM | Hmmm soul i still have both my arms....lol.....
And yes this really isnt a glam ladies only subject...lol...how many guys do ya see now with jet black hair or a curly perm (hahahahaha pmsl idiots...lol) and the face of moses...lol...or the comb over or many other things...lol...makes me laugh cos i cant be stuffed...grey is taking hold some is falling out but what the hell a camera isnt gunna improve it but yes i also like to present well when the occassion arises as does a lady (even soulmate even tho she dribbles on she doesnt...lol)...its all about feeling good about yaself and that isnt a bad thing and regardless of what we all say we all have the inner thing of self esteem.(well most do...lol)
|
| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/14/2008 12:41:03 AM | Freaky huh, I know heaps of guys, mostly much younger than me, who spend hours and a fortune at the hairdresser getting foils and fancy haircuts then hours everyday in front of the mirror with all sorts of hair products and man skincare stuff its hilarious, especially to go to work in a factory on nightshift, why bother? I don't mind making an effort if I'm going out somewhere or meeting someone I don't want to think I'm feral but for everyday hanging out or work it's all too hard

| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/14/2008 12:43:36 AM | | I think that you should look like yourself..which is what you do look like..although.. it is nice to make an effort ..but to maintain this effort you need to earn lots of money.. i think that you should look like yourself.. | |

| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/14/2008 2:01:34 AM | | no harm in looking good for the day, just dont make it the main profile pic! false advertising lol | |
|
| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/14/2008 2:17:07 AM | lol my profile pic was a total fluke, I was actually completely wasted at my best mate's birthday party, usually I have my eyes closed and my mouth open | |
|
| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/14/2008 2:21:41 AM | well im not gunna point out or say nothing......about the arm muscles... and the guy who looks like hes straight outta a marlboro commercial... lol
seriously arent you guys... just putting some attributes forward?..
seriously guys both really nice pics... but reality... your just showing your masculine qualities..... woman... get shown from very young ... what the IDEAL woman is.. and can go through life feeling she just aint it.. give em a break if the benchmark has been set to .. hair types....body types.... fullon glamoured up makeup types... aint nothing wrong with feeling beautiful... even if a day later u need the bag.... damn who drank my beer?
anyhoo... smiles/peace

| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/14/2008 3:52:39 AM | I know what you're saying, Soulmate...and you don't look very different in real life from your pic - remember, this is the woman who recognised you immediately from about 15 metres away!
Yes, it's true...beauty is skin deep, ugly goes all the way to the bone - or something. But to all the scoffers, it's nice to feel the outside matches the inside,,again, or something!
|
| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/14/2008 4:27:43 AM | wow I didnt expect to see so much on this thread...............................
I dont like the glamour thing - hated getting hair make up done for wedding and then the pics ugh at leash had reat photographer who captured 'us'. I love the pics of my parents and I pulling faces at each other no matter how horrified my ex was.
I dont like the kids pixie photos etc either....... Got more for my money taking them to the park and snapping away - real natural pics of the people I love.
|
| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/14/2008 5:14:52 AM | Have never considered it for a nano-second,coz im just naturally drop dead gorgeous.
Ok,ok,ok...................seriously,no,never,ever considered it --just make the most of what i have. Love eyemakeup to enhance them---have brown eyes, which ive been told are very expressive,& blush, coz my skin is very fair. Its like starting with a plain canvas & making the most of your features. My hair is my other defining feature(after my eyes) --- naturally curly, and i like it just the way it is,

| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/14/2008 6:42:02 AM | Glamour Photos, every woman I've know that has had these done say it was a real hoot & thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It's great to feel special & get pampered.
I don't reckon the Glamour Photos should be presented as the main profile picture. After all, they are somewhat of a deception, designed to make the person look a lot better than they actually are.
As far as make up goes, I never wear any. I recently asked my 13 year old daughter if she wanted some, as she doesn't have any & is the only teenage girl I know that doesn't (she's so non-girly) she just laughed & fobbed me off. My girlfriend never wears make-up (don't think she owns any either). I wouldn't consider her a plain canvas.

| Glamour Photos Posted: 5/15/2008 10:03:59 PM | So, what about mine?
I like the look of me, with or without makeup.. I won my self a $1500 package of Glamour pics when I worked for a partyplan company! It was an a reward for my sales whilst our Manager were away at a conference, in 1999. Ok , $11,000 sales in one month....lots of bras, etc. 7 parties with sales in excess of $1,000 and lots of very happy hostesses, as the ones with those excessive sales won for themselves a night out for 2 to a ritzy hotel in Perth, as I used to share the rewards I got. The photo`s included a large 48 x20 and three smaller ones, which I gave to my daughters for xmas..... The one that I used on here, is another one I won the next year... And if I did`nt use it on here, no-one would ever get to see them....My kids don`t live over here, so I have one on here, and an ordinary one of me from last year (taken on Mothers Day by me with my mobile phone and sent around the world to my kids)
I really enjoyed the trouble Studio Classic took to glamour me up, as I don`t use make -up except for special occasions, and if I go to meet a guy I use the bare minimum, as if I am going out with a guy, that`s what he would see, me windswept and natural. When I had the photo shoot, the photographer told me to think of something sexy, or a hunky guy to get the right sort of smile on my face I thought of a juicy steak ( joking) but the only hunk who came to mind at that time was Tom Selleck, as I had just seen a recent video of him on a talk show. At the time I had been working for that company for 7 years, and had`nt had the time to go find myself a man to replace my ex,,,, all work and no play.... I think I have caught up now... especially when I think of the matches for me on here! One of my daughters worked for Dr Lewin`s form... , she is a glamour puss, tall blond beautiful in brains and looks and very married! When she visited me about 2 years after the photos were done, she had brought some of their products to give to some of her friends over here. When I asked *where is some for your mum*? She told me *mum you only need to use the apricot dew products from Nutri.....dic s..... which is what I do.. We don`t get much opportunity to imagine what we would look like tizzied up, so let us enjoy our self expression sometime in our lives, and if you don`t like, them on our profiles , thats your loss, we are what we are and more, move on, look at the next one... my opinion, my cat does`nt have one, as she`s the only one sees me everyday..
