As girls we always had our nails done, hair primped, swam in bubbles in the tub, had someone EVERY morning brush my hair and have an outfit that matched. The time spent with my Mother one on one was a copius amount of time.
BOYS, get the light turned on, someone yelling get your ass out of bed, and brush your teeth. you got 10 mins!
Wow ~ maybe I was really born male????? I certainly didn't get the "girly" treatment you speak of. Independence was my mother's theory ~ or was that avoidance and disinterest? I don't really remember now...old news.
Woman are leaders in the homes. Says it in the Bible. Titus 2:4 states a woman is to lead other women how to be Godly wives. Trust me, I am no push over myself, A man who meets me can see the passion, and strength, and control, with a loving touch Lady. A True Southern Belle. The woman leads the home, the man brings in the butter, and if assistance is needed they will work it out.
A biblical spin, in reverse. Kudos OP ~ never in all my years of Theology, did I once realize the Bible states the woman is the lead. Nor a Southern Bell ~ but I may have missed all of that.
~OT~ I'm sorry, but I am not the lead. If and when there is/has been a man in my life ~ the's the boss. It takes a strong/willing/competent man to be wholly responsible for a woman. We are not easy creatures to lead. I have no interest in being the lead, nor would I do well with someone who isn't alpha in all respects. To each their own, personal preferences are what make life worth the time spent living it. JMO
