| Profile Names/Headings ... Name the Top Cliches Posted: 7/24/2008 5:22:59 AM | "nice man looking for pretty woman" You notice it doesn't say "handsome man looking for pretty woman". But hey, I've heard that Lizzie Borden was very 'pretty'. Bwa ha ha ha | |

| Profile Names/Headings ... Name the Top Cliches Posted: 7/25/2008 6:00:52 AM | msg-17 This one makes me laugh.
I like the ones that say no shirt, no response.....and they have a couple of Bikini shots on thier profile.
Another thing about this is that those who try to pose sexy, just aren't, (you know trying to bend over the bed with the stupid stripper shoes). Sexy to me is natural, not poser crap. Posers are just cheap, fake, and wanna-bees. Just be yourself and have real pictures of natural things/settings. Now that is sexy & real.

"Is anyone interested out there?" Helllooooooo!? Hellooooooooooo?! It's dark out here. Can't see you.... "I am getting tired of this." ...snorzch...uh...did you say something? zzzzz " I am really a nice guy, REALLY!" | Profile Names/Headings ... Name the Top Cliches Posted: 10/16/2008 6:45:06 PM | Is there anyone else that runs screaming when they list "God" or "Jesus" as an interest? I mean it's nice to have faith, but I think of the "interests" section as more of a place to list hobbies. I mean, you never see "Buddha" or "Jehovah" listed. Is it just me who finds this odd?
Rock on.

"I love to laugh"
Similarly, "looking for a guy with a sense of humor"
Great, go fvck the Joker. Really, dig up Heath Ledger's corpse, ride it till sunrise...

| Profile Names/Headings ... Name the Top Cliches Posted: 10/16/2008 9:56:42 PM | | Every time I see the "looking for a guy with a sense of humor" I want to write them saying lets go roll a clown and have a great laugh. Like, really, a sense of humor is subjective. What I find funny might not be funny to her. I find someone tripping over their own feet hilarious would a humanitarian find that funny?? Probably not but I make my point on that | |

"Stress free." Thanks, but no thanks. You can keep it. If you ever give away DVDs, let me know.

| Profile Names/Headings ... Name the Top Cliches Posted: 10/20/2008 1:31:08 AM | Aww, c'mon IB, you know I was just yankin' yer chain. I still lubs ya. I don't specify "sense of humor" in mine, it goes more like "if you can't laugh, go pound sand." Subtle and understated. The only "sense" I require, besides common sense, is that elusive ability to know that there is no "C" in "sense". You fit the bill, IB. Wanna get married? Wait, before you answer that, I mean to me.

| Profile Names/Headings ... Name the Top Cliches Posted: 10/21/2008 2:59:27 PM | Just off the main idea...One cliche that always used to turn me off profiles of females was the first date thing....
` A good bottle of wine, candle light dinner, fish and chips on the beach at sunset, curled up in each others arms in front of an open fire..`
Besides those things sounding as boring as bat poop, its so unoriginal and generic.I tended to stay away because i personally prefer something spontaneous.I aint james Bond or a character from the Bold and the beautiful.
Excuse my rant - esque response

Hah! Oh man. Women are crazy...and I can say that because I am one. Sorry, if someone asked me to roll a clown, I would ask when and where. And to be honest, probably trip over my own feet in the process.
But back to business- "NO FATTIES!" is my favourite. Could you maybe state you are looking for someone that could be a model or athlete instead of taking the "fatties" down a notch?
Or just make it so that certain body types can't message you *(if that was an option, it would be awesome)* It would save me a lot of hassle! As soon as I see "working out" as a hobby, I don't message because I don't work out, don't plan on working out. I get enough exercise working in a warehouse! (And I'm still considered a "fatty" so...) LOL My two cents

| Profile Names/Headings ... Name the Top Cliches Posted: 10/22/2008 7:01:00 AM | Oooh Ohhhh I forgot one.
Stating looking for Hang Out, Dating, Activity Partner, or Other Relationship and IM'ing me for sex at midnight...
Noooo thanks! Just because it doesn't say I.E doesn't mean you should message me anyway- trying to fool me into thinking you are actually interested!

| Profile Names/Headings ... Name the Top Cliches Posted: 10/22/2008 7:48:56 AM | "Comfortable in my own skin" good thing on that one, otherwise you would need a lot of benydral.
Punky, even though I cannot message you, hang in there, the profile is awesome, your pics are fantastic. A huge amount of humor and good looks, you wll do fantastic. MrD.

"f84U" wow, you must have such a busy life that you don't have time to type "Fate for you".. actually I don't even know WHAT that means.
"Looking for no nonsense man" oh thank God you don't want me to be funny!
"My friend told me to check out this site" thanks for showing the commitment
"looking for a real man" Wow, so you don't want a blow-up doll then?
"Friends say that..." hmm, perhaps I should date your friends.

| Profile Names/Headings ... Name the Top Cliches Posted: 10/22/2008 1:13:29 PM | any reference to "prince charming" (let's be realistic here...are you over 10 years old?).
this thread made me laugh...although i am probably guilty of a few cliches myself

| Profile Names/Headings ... Name the Top Cliches Posted: 10/23/2008 7:49:32 PM | I seem to be running into "Ask me if you want to know more" a lot these days. Extremely true!! Not just in the about me section but profession section as well. Not to be sexist, but when I see that in the profession section, it makes me think the woman might be in the sex industry, otherwise, why so reluctant to name their job? I don't look down on someone who would list "fast food worker"as their profession, I was that until 3 years ago.
How about, you put everything you think people want to know in your about me section, I'll read it & e-mail you asking you about your day & other small talk.
Is that crazy? Is my ass now my face?
To me, anyone who states "Ask me if you want to know more"is just fishing for e-mails they probably won't answer.
any reference to "prince charming" (let's be realistic here...are you over 10 years old?). Don't even get me started on this. The main origin of Prince Charming is from the Disney story Sleeping Beauty...if I put this in my profile I would be seen as a necropheliac (sp?). If that turns a woman off, seeing "Prince Charming" turns men off just as much. Also, women might not realize this probably attracts a lot of players, who thrive on being charming, getting what they want & then saying bye-bye. Can't say I feel bad for them.

| Profile Names/Headings ... Name the Top Cliches Posted: 10/24/2008 7:50:54 AM | I'm only new at this so at the risk of sounding like Pauline Hansen could somebody "please explain" what on earth is an "Activity partner"... what, they want to do ballroom dancing?.. or are they recruiting for a soccer team? Also " Other Relationship" What the hell's that! Other than the relationship they already have? To Perthbornboy MSG 42 I really do eat fish and chips on the beach. Where are all these other people that love the beach so much? I'm usually the only bugger there! Just me and the seagulls....I must be going to the wrong beach! If all the ones that entered "love the beach" on their profiles would turn up I could meet them there. I wouldn't have to be sitting at this keyboard. | |
