It's easy to attack this question if you like, I'd only ask that it be done with critical logic and not with rhetoric that only someone like Robert Mugabe or William Kristol would follow.
Your third comment makes the level of pedantry, though; good for you!

Posted: 5/14/2008 11:43:54 AM | Since you poker playing aces were sitting around trying to figure out what consistutes a legitmate kill, review the film from your gun camera and look for the following: Did the target go down? Did you discharge your weapon on or into the target? If you answer yes to both these questions, congratulations, you had sex and can add another notch but you cannot add any additional notches, just one. Think of it this, you don't get extra points because you shot down a Japanese Zero versus an ME-109, they are both fair game but different targets. As far as the last caveat, it does not matter what the woman's opinion is to salve her own guilty conscience about maintaining her virginity? It is still sex.

The question is simple: if you have anal sex with a woman, but never vaginal intercourse, does it count as sex, i.e. Is she added to the list of women you've had sex with if you were to keep track of these things?
Your own statement answered it - anal sex. But why people have the need to "brag" about how many people they've had sex with is beyond me unless you're talking to your doctor because you have to diagnose who you've been with for an STD.

| Does anal sex count? Posted: 5/14/2008 4:50:24 PM | I'm not sure what to make of this one either. I've actually had girls I only did anal with. I'm not sure whether to put them on the list.
I'd also like to know so I can eventually square away the date I lost my virginity on. There's a three day discrepency between ass and cooch. I'm all confused.
Oral and handjobs don't count, though. Those are more like handshakes.
if you never entered the ****(the wet, juicy, sweet, perfect hole) the it should count as gay sex. That is just my opinion.
Crap! I've been having gay sex with women for years and haven't even been aware of it.
I'm glad I read this thread.
Also, to anybody who keeps using the, "If your significant other said we didn't have sex, we just did anal," excuse, apparently you guys seem to have conveniently forgotten that most people don't consider sex to be the only form of cheating. I'm sure you wouldn't consider kissing somebody to be a sexual act, but most people consider that cheating.
Big difference between whether or not something is sex and whether or not something is cheating. Two different arguments.

Actually, if memory serves, they DID make the one guy who shot down the 262 from his P-51 an ace, even though he didn't have 5 kills.
So I guess if you do the impossible, like a mother/daughter threesome, the sum would be greater than its parts?
I'd also like to know so I can eventually square away the date I lost my virginity on. There's a three day discrepency between ass and cooch.
Dude, you're awesome!
(I'm not even 100% sure how old I was.)

| Does anal sex count? Posted: 5/15/2008 12:22:21 PM | | my view is much more simple then just because it has the word sex. anything you can get an a std from for me i consider sex | |

| Does anal sex count? Posted: 5/16/2008 8:47:06 AM | | It counts.......plus remember anal give the most intense orgasms | |
|
| Does anal sex count? Posted: 5/16/2008 9:02:55 AM | Yea, it's still intercourse so I would think it counts.
Don't ask us, though, ask Bill Clinton. He seems to be the expert on that kind of stuff.

| Does anal sex count? Posted: 5/16/2008 9:09:54 AM | anal sex doesnt count in my book, have you ever heard of a lady getting knocked up from getting meat up her ass, so i would say if you got anal pleasure from a married man he really isnt cheating because it is not sex | |
|
| Does anal sex count? Posted: 5/16/2008 12:00:50 PM | It should count as twice, no wait... Quadruple Prize even.
Me allowing a guy(or girl with attachments) to perform any act that can result in me having a fissure or tear that will become infected due to it's location AND that requires painful surgery to correct is a pretty damn big deal. If it isn't worth 4x bragging rights.. it ain't worth it.
'scuse me while I emote this up for someone

| Does anal sex count? Posted: 5/16/2008 12:17:03 PM | There is a growing trend among conservative christian teens... to have anal sex in order to preseve their virginity for marriage....
Makes no sense to me.... Of course it counts..... anal, oral, digital, full penetration..... it all counts ....We are sexual beings.... it is not about a particular act but about being "physically intimate" with another person.
|
| Does anal sex count? Posted: 5/18/2008 9:32:23 PM | You're joking right? Notwithstanding all the other witty answers ... you have GOT to be kidding!!
Weird, isn't it when a President goes on TV and says I did NOT etc etc and later we find it was ONLY a BJ so ya, that must not count. At least 60 % of high school students don't seem to think so these days.
""There is a growing trend among conservative christian teens... to have anal sex in order to preseve their virginity for marriage.""
There is a large percentage of Muslim women who prefer anal sex to regular sex because as children they were subjected to female circumcision and their vag!nas are now so scared and sex is so painful that anal sex is all they can stand with their husbands.
So would you suggest THAT isn't sex either?

| Does anal sex count? Posted: 5/19/2008 9:47:07 AM | Re the Opost
I think that what was missed by many is that the issue raised in the Opost is a "guy philosophical" issue. In other words, the whether it counts or not is related to teh bed notches thing, not Clintonian or usual POFFirian analysis, by both males and females.
With that in mind, IMO, from a "guy philosophical view on life and sex", anal only does count for a bed notch "point". Nasal does not. Neither do BJs.
Ah, yes, in this risky day and age, anal (hetero) only counts when it is well protected. Else, 10 points are reducted, for stupidity!
I hope my post addressed this major philosophical issue in a philosophical angle intended by the OPost.

| Does anal sex count? Posted: 5/19/2008 10:58:21 AM | remove anal........ hmmmmmmmmmm.. "Does sex count?"
Depends.. .. if it's about being unfaithful to ones significant other.. well, darn it, the persons involved were unfaithful long before the physical act took place.
I don't know about the rest of the readers/posters; however, it has been my experience that there had to be some thought and a lot of actions that led up to the actual act of sex.
|
| Does anal sex count? Posted: 5/19/2008 10:58:56 AM | | you have got to be kidding me? are you serious? yes man, sex is sex, oral sex is sex, if you are dating someone and get a bj from someone else, yes, thats cheating and sex..come on people.. | |
|
| Does anal sex count? Posted: 5/19/2008 3:47:34 PM | cant even answer this question ARE YOU SERIOUS!!!!!!!! Guess there are a lot of gay men out there (Who I love by the way) who have never had sex how sad | |
|
| Does anal sex count? Posted: 5/19/2008 3:50:34 PM | | That's hilarious. "But honey, we only had anal sex!" | |
|
| Does anal sex count? Posted: 5/20/2008 1:16:36 PM | I'm amazed that there's even any controversy about where anal intercourse constitutes sex. Since you're a poker player, I'd say that's analogous to asking whether a King-high flush counts as a flush. :)
While I'm not sure what federal or Arkansas law stipulates about whether the Lewinsky scandal involved sex, but in Massachusetts, even a cigar would be considered intercourse, albeit "unnatural." (Look it up in the Mass. General Laws if you're bored.)
And if you're still bragging amongst your friends about what you did with whom, you've got a lot of growing up to do. If that's all you're looking for, sex of any sort can be obtained nearly as easily as a light bulb can. (Tonight I'll tell all my buddies: "Guess what: I just got four 60 W bulbs for $0.90 at Home Depot!") Great sex on the other hand, is much harder to find and requires a special connection between a person and his or her lover. When it's there, it doesn't matter how it's done, it's what we engineers call an "implementation detail." :)
|
| Does anal sex count? Posted: 5/20/2008 2:02:19 PM | Well... I don't know of any of our species to have been created by doing this, so realisically, you couldn't call it sex... as it's not procreation. You can call it "sexual contact"... Actually, Clinton's famous "'It' depends what you mean by 'It'" was a legitimate argument for that reason... and he was right to make it. If you were an attorney in a court of law, wouldn't you at least make your adversary ask the right question before you admitted to it? Of course, you would. Doesn't our constitution say we don't have to testify against ourselves? | |
