Not sure if the op mentioned where this happened, and I am too lazy to check the op, but there aren't any designated smoking areas in bars... well none of the bars i've been to. Up here in the "Great White North" the smoking area is 9 M from the door. No walls or roof allowed (our laws indicate that any physical comfort, in out of the wind and rain, would encourage smoking). We are in groups of huddled masses looking for comfort and warmth -- great place to meet people.

| When a woman asks for a ciggerette Posted: 5/14/2008 4:37:12 PM | | I believe "ciggerette" is spelled cigarette. I'm a smoker and not proud of it. Quite frankly I would never ask a stranger for one if I ran out. Comes across as cheap and desperate. I come prepared so the situation does not arise. Drinking unfortunately causes one to smoke even more than usual so there is a chance even if one comes prepared to a club/bar with what they thought were enough smokes there is a chance the supply may go quicker than anticipated. If girls constantly ask you for a smoke they probably see you smoking and think perhaps you're a good target to ask. Perhaps they actually do want to converse with you also which they kind of have to if they just got a smoke off of you. | |

nocatchyname, You do things that effect others all the time. What I do, in my own space and on my own time, is none of your concern.
um...I'm not exactly sure why that comment was directed at me, because I thought that was half my point to silentman
I suppose you drive a car? Fumes pollute the planet. How dare you! I bet you use aerosol too, you self righteous pri....
that's the point I was also trying to make...btw, the aerosol, good one, I missed that one in my rant LOL

| When a woman asks for a ciggerette Posted: 5/14/2008 7:44:44 PM | AntonioIII if you think they are cute and might want to pursue something more, as you are reaching them that cigarette, give her a wink and ask her, with a flirty smile, if she really wants a cigarette or is she flirting with you?.........its that simple ,if you want to know Darlin' then just ask. If she only wants a cigarette then she will most likely not ask for another saving you money, or if she says flirting ask her to dance..... | |

| When a woman asks for a ciggerette Posted: 5/14/2008 10:09:39 PM | [well i've been smoking on and off for the past year.....stopped for 6 months........then had a crazy break up ........the gf went nuts on me said i was scared to commit.....which wsn't the case it was time to break it off because my feelings weren't getting any stronger.......then started again..........now i've stopped for a few months again..............this always happens t night clubs........] antonioIII, If I may be so bold, your above quotation sounds like what you really may be asking about. Just wanted you to know I completely understand what you're saying. In all seriousness, it would be a better choice for you to stop smoking. My words of wisdom are....."Your 44 yr old body, will be thankful for what your 24 yr old body did." I stopped smoking using the prescription "Chantix", and it worked perfect. Good Luck | |

| When a woman asks for a ciggerette Posted: 5/15/2008 12:11:40 AM | Haha, I use that one a lot... sometimes, I really do need a cigarette, but smoking together is a great way to break the ice without things being awkward (you're both occupied if there's no conversation going on, and if no sparks fly, it's not weird to move away).
At clubs, I'd be wary, they're probably just drunk and in genuine need of a cigarette But like I said, if that's not their intention, no harm done if she just takes the smoke and leaves.

| When a woman asks for a ciggerette Posted: 5/18/2008 5:28:16 AM | | It depends......Does she smoke? If she sat there all evening not smoking and suddenly asks you for a cigarette, shes probably breaking the ice. If you observe an empty pack sitting in front of her shes just a heavy smoker. | |

| When a woman asks for a ciggerette Posted: 5/18/2008 5:34:49 AM | | chances are if she smokes, she doesn't have a great deal of respect for her body anyway. So it's worth a crack if you fancy her. | |

| When a woman asks for a ciggerette Posted: 5/18/2008 8:02:47 AM | When I used to smoke, and I asked a guy for a cigarette, it was because I was out of cigarettes and really wanted a smoke. It didn't mean I wanted to get into his pants. It meant I was having a nic fit.
Once in a while I'd get flirty - eg kisses on the cheek etc - but that was just for fun - didn't mean a thing.
