I give you credit though, you are certainly passionate about American politics, moreso than 99% of American voters. I wish I could be as passionate about Canadian parliamentary procedures and PM Harper as you are with the 2008 American electoral process.

What's bad for your country , is also bad for mine, we are very closely linked economically. There's also the aspect of compassion, and of seeing a lot of good people hurting economically across party and racial lines, which isn't anything to celebrate or wish on anyone.

My very interest in politics was due to the RFK campaign. Canadian politics are far less dramatic, most times. We don't have the deep divisions you have, generally. We also don't have as much corporate control over our media, which lessens the chances of misinformation.

This isn't meant as an insult, but I don't read most of your lengthy posts, MG.

No need to tell me that one .

Don't worry; MG when you post something lengthy, and it seems to be on-topic, and is something to challenge, don't worry, it gets challenged. And the challenge isn't made either by cutting and pasting from lefty or righty blogs.

I often think the American founding fathers made a mistake by not modeling the American political theater more like that of their British parents. Parliamentary procedure would have rid the US of inept presidents like GWB if they had to continue to prove to earn approval for their policy proposals which turn out to be total bungled nonsense.

One has to look at the underlying reasons for one's opinions. It's not a question of how one "feels" about anything, it's the result of actually examining the issues at hand.

The Global Poverty Act is a classic example of that in action.

Isn't it interesting the MG seems to get quite a bit of this? Your posts are too LONG or there's too much cutting and pasting or....or....you use too many WORDS.
Incredible....thank God in some arenas Atlas didn't shrug....
