I give you credit though, you are certainly passionate about American politics, moreso than 99% of American voters. I wish I could be as passionate about Canadian parliamentary procedures and PM Harper as you are with the 2008 American electoral process.
What's bad for your country , is also bad for mine, we are very closely linked economically. There's also the aspect of compassion, and of seeing a lot of good people hurting economically across party and racial lines, which isn't anything to celebrate or wish on anyone.
My very interest in politics was due to the RFK campaign. Canadian politics are far less dramatic, most times. We don't have the deep divisions you have, generally. We also don't have as much corporate control over our media, which lessens the chances of misinformation.
