Raiders of the Lost Ark inspired me to get some adventures under my belt so I'm a big Indiana Jones fan. I couldn't wait to see the latest movie.

Sure, the bike chase was a bit Keystone cops and the monkeys looked like skinny furbees. Ok, Mr Ford didn't have the same impact on my heart as 25years ago but oh my, he's still gorgeous in a crusty old git kinda way.

2 crusty thumbs up.

By the way, no one mentioned the greatest film of all time - PREDATOR

An old aussie fav of mine is Bad Boy Bubby, yeah it has some sick parts in it but cracks me up everytime i see it.... "Be still cat" lol.

The Worlds Fastest Indian is a MUST see for all ages (One of the best movies i've ever seen).
American Gangster is brilliant.
Lord Of War with Nicholas Cage was another fav of mine in 05.
Someone mentioned The Bank Job, that was excellent and Jason Statham is tops, was good to see him in a movie where he's not using any martial arts, and the fact it's based on a true story.
Did someone say they are making Cloverfield 2? I want that 85 minutes of my life back from the first one lol.

the best movies of all time that i have watched several times . " The crow " brandon lee. "Mr Roberts", henry fonda. " Flags of our fathers" clint eastwood . " Trumpet fades" good but not realistic. Ok now the best movie of them all is " Dirty dancing". I like comedy movies. There are lots of them .

(In no particular order ... except for the first ... my favourite!)
* 13 Ghosts
* Boogyman (ohh man, the start of this scared the be-geezus out of me!!)
* Hostel (don't bother with the sequels - they are all crap!)
* Wolf Creek
* The Hills have Eyes (sequel is crap)
* Dark Water
* The Village

Bet you can't guess I love scarey movies!!??? LOL

But, the most memorable movie I have ever seen ... and prolly due to it's "freaky" status, is "Bad Boy Bubby" ... made right here in Adelaide ... one heck of a muther-fooker-weird-ass-freaky movie!!

I reckon this is why I remember it ... although it is no-where near like the "scare" factor I usually go for, it's "oh-my-god-thats-so-fooked-up!!!" factor is off just so off the scale!!

For those who have seen it, you should know what I mean, for those who haven't ... are you brave enough to watch it?? .... lol

Felix, if you liked "Wolf Creek" you'll love "Rogue".

Made by the same people that made Wolf Creek, but a hundred times better especially the acting. Very professionally done. I give it four and a half stars.

p.s.

Thanks to those who gave reviews on the new Indy movie ... I "was" rather eager to see it, but now I reckon I will save a few $$ (I'll put the $$ on my weekly petrol bill instead ... LOL!) and just d/load it to watch on PC ...

saw Street Kings... more of a bloke film but still good.. also did the obligatory chick flick thing with a gf and saw Ms Pettigrew lives a day... good for a giggle not alot of substance,
have Narnia on the hit list and a heap of others

Monaro... Blade trilogy rocks.. as do most Vampire films lol try Nightwatch (in russian with subtitles) and the sequel Daywatch which is in english or russian... they are pretty full on visually

Two good ones for a chuckle.. Tank girl ( Lori Petty and Naomi Watts when she was young) and Hercules Returns with Bruce Spence and Effie ( cant remember her real name ) from Wogs out of work

With my handle I have to also mention -

Nosferatu...not sexy but so cool for a movie made in 1922!

Interview with the vampire - the only movie I think Brad Pitt is sexy in.

Vampire in Brooklyn - "I said ahoy bleep bleep"

Vampire's Kiss - fitting for fangs was hilarious

Blade trilogy- cool, very cool

Bram Stoker's Dracula - a love story and wasted on Ryder and Reeves.

One of my favs is Walking Tall with the Rock and Johnny Knoxville...

Story line... Did I mention the Rock and Johnny Knoxville???

Seriously, it has music, easy to watch a bit of action and based on a true story. My cup of tea.

I went to see 'The Orphanage' last night, it would have to be the best horror film I've seen since Guillermo Del Toro's last film 'Pans Labyrinth'. The film had the audience jumping out of their seats on a few occasions.
Anyone who liked Pans Labyrinth will like this one as it has the same atmosphere and uses similar plot devices.

I saw 'Death at a funeral' a while ago. Funniest thing ever,totally stupid and simple but really appealed to my stupid and simple English sense of humour.

I find I need to watch light films or I fall asleep mid-flick and that sh1ts me.

Very short attention span!

I saw Indiana Jones yesterday because I loved the old 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' etc. I enjoyed it although it lost something with Indi being an old bloke and not the younger version. The character was older looking without having matured. Some of the effects needed a leap of faith but hey, it was fun.

I also went to 'What happened in Vegas' which is a hollywood type romantic comedy. Pretty good I thought. Light, amusing stuff but that's what I go to the movies for. I took my teenage daughter and her friend and they liked it too.

I loved this movie, the guy on acid, the midget, the old guy in the toilet... Had me in tears!
A lot of my friends said it was crap and didn't find it funny at all, it's one of those love or hate movies i think.

As it's a public holiday today, guess what movie we're watching again. PREDATOR.

Every year I watch Lawrence of Arabia, usually on Christmas Day when everyone's fallen asleep with swollen bellies.

I agree, The Boondock Saints is a fantastic flick! Sean Patrick Flanery ...

But I have to say, best flick this year ... CLOVERFIELD! I absolutely loved it. Original, fast paced and loud. Just really my scene

Oh SCARY. So scary, I won't watch the sequels.
-The Ring
-Saw

Another disturbing movie I won't watch again
- Event Horizon.

And how about the scene in 'Signs' when the alien briefly appears. Everyone in the theatre jumped and then we all burst out laughing!
