How lonely did you feel when you discovered plenty of fish?

i get pretty lonely, but i lack any medical insurence so seeking professional help might not work, its not that this lonelyness is through thought, i dont think about anything and it seems i emotionally feel emty, even if im not thinking a thought, how can you fight that. much to that affects my physical being in a powerful form. where i just look down and not smile. but it always feels as if my thoughts come AFTER the feelings come. how do you fight something like that. without having such a strong will to control something without even knowing why

It sounds very much like you may be feeling a bit depressed, my friend. I have been there...in my life.
Have you moved recently? or gone through some difficult times? Or just feel that it's all about the 'girl'?

I lost six of my close male friends in the past eight years....so, that can make me feel blue at times. Very Blue. They all died. But life does go on, that is for sure.

No, I didn't feel More lonely by discovering Plentyoffish. As a self professed computer nerd, there are lots of great people here to interact with.

I am solitary by nature, and content with every day..but not introverted. My work is solitary. Do you interact with people during the day?? I wish you could talk to more young people in your area, you may find this feeling of lonliness more commonplace than you think.

Please give it a little more time, and friends will appear in your life. Some places are more people friendly than others though,. I think the hardest adjustment for me was moving away from all of my dear friends and family, when I moved from a small Island off of the coast of Cape Cod to the Deep South 8 years ago. But slowly, friends emerged, and there is the beauty of everyday to enjoy..And the land, the water, the ocean, the rivers......when you learn how to celebrate every day that you have with yourself, a 'special' somone will just be the icing on top of the cake.

But, I will again ask you to talk to young people on here...even young men your age if you like what they say in a forum response. I have had several very engaging conversations with men who are going through similar circumstances that I am from this site. Or, sometimes, we just bullsh1t about nothin', ya know?

My best to you
