| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/18/2008 3:22:58 PM | | IMHO, use condoms if in dating relationships, If you are in a healthy LTR, then condom / birth control usage should be discussed openly and honestly, due to any possible concerns each partner may have ..... | |

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/22/2008 3:37:02 AM | | This is going to sound like a total lie but it aint. I have been tested many times and i am 100% allergic to condoms of every brand on the market. And the ones they say are made of sheep Skin or whatever contain a small amount of latex so i cant use them. What would u do in that case | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/22/2008 6:34:49 AM | Edit: Tbear, there's some made from a different material that's the same that nurse's use if they're allergic to latex...I forget the material name, ask a pharmacist.
No glove, no love, no wrappie no (pelvic) slappie.
The thought of it with anyone whom you haven't known for a *long* time and trust them implicitly after both being tested....is a deal breaker. If they'd do it with you unprotected they do it with everyone (as opposed to anyone).

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/22/2008 6:44:14 AM | its impossible to be 100% allergic to condoms theres latex free too cause i have to use them i like to hear what these medical reasons are from women who claim they can't use there own form of birth control cause of an "apparent medical problem"?? what a load of BS....with all the different type out there other than condoms and there saying they can't use them
thats so lame

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/22/2008 6:52:09 AM | | with someone new i wear a condom 100%, after about 6 months with someone (depending how they feel too) i tend to use them less. alot of the time i start without one and during position swaps put one on to finish in. but again it really depends on the girl and if she wants me to wear one all the time then i will, i'm not fussed at all. | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/22/2008 11:51:30 AM | | I used condoms when I was 18, but can't anymore. I believe they make them too small, these days. I last used one about 1996 and it gave me a blister on my penis. | |

*sigh*.....Like my medical issues are any of your business, but i am unable to use any hormonal birth control as it affects my medication. I was also on the depo shot and got pregnant.... and using an iud and had an ectopic pregnancy. Come back to me after you have gone through a laproscapy, d&c, tearing in the fallopian tube that was minutes from bursting, having a 3 month fetus removed as well as a fallopian tube, all done by a c section. For reasons i wish not to discuss here... I was not very able to use the other forms (diaphram or sponge).... and now that i am able... i don't need to, as i can no longer get pregnant. So condoms are now my choice.... and the only one that protects against std's.....
I believe the stats for condom use alone resulting in pregancy is somewher e around 15- 20 out of one hundred.....
Now about those condoms for the above poster who was allergic. If you are allergic to latex, there is also condoms made from lanb membrane , and polyurethane.... the lamb condoms DO NOT protect against std's and hiv though. Polyurethane condoms do but have a higher chance of tearing ( i believe the rate is about 7% as opposed to 1-2% with latex). Durex makes one called Avanti and there are a couple other ones out there.... I think one is eZ on.... kind of neat you can put it on either way. Some people use the lamb one underneath and then latex on top... yes it will protect against std's,hiv and pregnancy.... but there is a very huge increase in the chance of the condoms breaking due to friction I believe. So IMO i would use lamb only if in a relationship if trying to avoid pregnancy... although they are still expensive, so i would hope the sex would be dynamite and hold you over until the next week. :) Also if the woman is allergic to latex.... female condoms are made out of polyurethane as well.

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/22/2008 1:43:05 PM | | some men dont like condoms on them as it may be too tight for them to handle or maybe there skin dont take to the condoms im not sure, i knew a guy who didnt like them as strangles his manhood no matter how big he brought the condoms, he made sure the women had contraception as he was cautious but yeah thats weird he dont want any maybe he has these problems | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/22/2008 1:51:07 PM | I think this problem is symptomatic of condom fatigue in society.
I don't think there is any situation in which not using a condom prior to hitting the 6 month mark in a relationship is acceptable. I understand the thrill and the sensation from doing your thing without it, but besides issues of avoiding pregnancy and safe sex, condom use really does show that you respect your partner.

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/22/2008 2:08:04 PM | Well whenever I find myself wondering about this allmighty question, I unfortuneately ( ) think of my parents...she was on the pill, condom wasn't used, and I was born approximately nine months later, while they were both still in high school. Even though its a horrifying thing to think of (parents....sex???? ) I always remember it because it reminds me that I should be on birth control, and he should be wrapping it up, every time, until both of us decide we want a kid together. | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/23/2008 8:24:48 PM | I've heard if you sit in a bath of 80% rubbing alcohol and 20% Epson salt after sex you should be okay without the condom... Go for it. Let us know how it works out for you. | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/25/2008 5:58:35 PM | I would use condoms AND birth control.
Sex just doesn't get you knocked up, it can kill you if you're not careful. If you're not the first person.. think of the other women he con'ed into sleeping with him condom-free. ;)

|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/25/2008 6:17:06 PM | alot of men and women don't like condoms and would rather not use them; that being said u open urself up to alot of risk for that extra sensation.
proceed w/caution | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/25/2008 7:12:05 PM | If there were a male version of the pill, Id take it in a heartbeat! And, yes, there is a such thing as being allergic to condoms...its not a joke.
For myself, I think if youre ready to be having sex with someone then you should be ready to talk about it too. Condoms and me simply dont get along...I cannot "function" as soon as I put one on. So anyone Im with needs to be open to discussing other forms of birth control before getting to that point. (And, yes, I get tested regularly for STDs and have never had one in 35 years)
To the OP initial question....the guy is just looking for a cheap thrill. Run....run like the wind!
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/25/2008 7:41:37 PM | | Condoms are a must until you and him are in a monogamous relationship where you know that you're the only one he's sleeping with... and with online dating, I really wouldn't trust what any one says. Better safe than sorry sweetheart. | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 5/26/2008 1:33:00 AM | | to use or not to use, that is the question, hmmm, well, if you dont use, there are a wide selection of non life threatening std's you can catch, some painful, some not, some can harm you in different ways, herpes anyone? go a bit further, HIV anyone? why take a chance? unless you make him go get tested for std's prior to any sexual activity and prove to you he is clean.. | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 6/2/2008 10:31:58 PM | I do not believe in making love to/having sex with just anybody or everybody! If you are with someone like that someone needs to use a condom. However, I, personally am "fixed". Add "fixed" to being 100% clean/disease-free and women do not need to use a condom. Ask him for his papers and tell him to consider getting himself fixed. Trust me, the last time I was with a woman, she enjoyed knowing I was safe and she enjoyed even more that she could feel ME inside her before, during and after I came inside her. | |
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 6/2/2008 11:14:44 PM | CONDOM! Even if you don't like it, wear one anyway.
Unless in a committed monogomous relationship you should always use a condom, and even then you might want to strongly consider using one.
Why you ask? Well... pregnancy and disease are two very good reasons to always wear one (though a condom doesn't alway stop either from happening).
|
| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 6/3/2008 1:20:28 AM | Just the fact that you agree to this shows another example of how dumb women have become. You act like a mindless teen.
The STD rate has skyrocketed in the U.S. There is nothing to talk about. You are being exposed to every partner this guy has ever had and if he wants unprotected sex, I guarantee he's had several.

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 6/3/2008 6:59:27 AM | Using condoms or not using them is matter of conscience. Some men have difficulties to mantain an erection when putting on a condom. They act like a heat breaker indeed. There are more ways to avoid pregnancy. Comdoms are mostly used in cases when you don't want to get infected with something. But condoms are not 100% secure. So the best bet is your conscience and the way you feel about it with that person you are going to have sex with. If you are a promiscuous person and have sex with any one, then you need to have a condom or have your man for that moment use a condom. | |

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 6/3/2008 7:11:00 AM | | tell him either wear one or he doesnt get one! simpleas that .why would you put yourself at risk? chances are i wouldnt date him due to the fact if he can sleep with you without one who else has he been with, you have a daughter to live for,. and if you decide to have him get tested for all stds first! good luck! | |

| CONDOM? or NO CONDOM? Posted: 6/3/2008 7:48:23 AM | Hunny. Use a condom. Its not safe. Especially if your just hooking up with that person.
