It appears that some of us are just socially clumsy and wish to hid this fact by hidding under a consitutional right of "free speech"

If you think this legal blanket has got your ass cover to where the rest of us can't see the true you ~~ the jokes on you.

I was given a ticket for no seat belt ~ apoligizing the officer said , "this week , is zero tolarance week for seat belt volitions" ~

and it is so with the black community ` , they have had to over react in attempt to get this demeaning behavior on the part of whites ~ to stop.

As long as they offer "no" resistance to it ~ it will continue

We were born our color and our race ~ this we had no control of, and many wish to climb and rise above our raising, ~ like you also aspire to do and hope for your children.

While you perhaps seen this as a small thing ~ they do not, and take exception, it's taken very personal.

Is there something "too" hard about this to understand? dance

Hi all,I think the kindest thing we could all do is to start a fund to get Norman a permanent supply of plastic bandages(band aids) for his skinned knuckles.

Its definately racially insensitive. But made me chuckle. I don;t think offering border patrol agents free meal;s is wrong. they keep out the illegals and should be reqarded. I wish mroe bars and diners gave discounts and free meals to our active duty servicemen. if I had sucha palc eIw ould officer free coffee to all police on duty and discounted meals to veterans and military. This situation was blown way out of proportion. No matter what you do it will offend someone even if you try to do something nice. We should all get together and have a chuckle and forget about it. making a big deal only makes things worse.

I have not seen the shirt or the cartoon of Bush but to say it is not a double standard is just not true,we see this in all of the new music as others have pointed out,it is very common for a person of color to use the N word and many black leaders have spoken how this is a negative issue for their race. Is it racist? Of course it is. And of course anyone with any smarts at all would not wear it in Harlem. But if you wish to be a leader in this country there are ways to become one,One is to ignore such things or at least take them for what they are ,and another way is to take part in it ,weather it is towards any race, minority ,handicap, hairstyle(long hair whites are all dope smokers)is just simply not true. Like the other fellow said get a thicker skin or move to a better country if you can find one.

Choose your battles wisely. Use common sense and respect for others.

One of our core values is Integrity First.
Integrity goes beyond its basic definition of "adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character." It goes to the heart of who we are as an organization, and how we are defined by the 'outside world.'

As long as there are people of different color, bullies and idiots, there will always be a problem like this. If we took all this negative energy and worked this hard to fix our problems, we would have few worries in life.

Its all rather comical to stand back and watch all the fussing with each other. To make fun of the color of someone's skin is silly. Its like making fun of people that have to wear glasses. Or because their eyes are blue.

The Global War on Terror has put the intense spotlight on our military from every aspect, from 24-hour media coverage to high-profile courts-martial to the death toll in Iraq to how the war affects our political machine. Now more than ever, we need to ensure we strive to keep all our core values at the forefront of our daily mission.

I live life using the simple things we all learned in kindergarten. Remember "The Golden Rule": Play fair, respect others. Clean up your own mess. Treat people like you want to be treated. Keep your hands to yourself, no shoving. Turn off the lights if you turned them on. No name calling and don't eat the glue.

Now.. what's so difficult about that?

It's definitely inflammatory to compare Obama to a monkey. Yes, he does remind me of Curious George a bit but I don't think it's helpful to re-open old wounds.

It's amazing that such an ignorant and racist thread has not been pulled by the mods. Are they blind to this too?

The utter stupidity of these people saying that they don't see how comparing a black man to a monkey is racist reflects poorly on Canada. Can we all say "duh"?

Is Canada stuck in the 1950's? Have Canadians still not yet met anyone who doesn't look just like them? Do they think that its OK to call black people n'ggers, or burn crosses on their lawns while hiding inside white robes. or keep them as slaves?

This is a complete no-brainer and I'm very disappointed in all these Canadian racists. Canada should be embarrassed to have them in their midst

Um duh! It didn't HAPPEN in Canada, so explain how one white idiot in Texas should reflect on Canada at all? Or is it only a reflection on caucasian Canadians...... you would be racist yourself to support that.
Further Canada is COMPRISED of a multitude of cultures. That is the definition of a cultural mosaic rather than a melting pot. Infact where do you think the underground railroad led to?
Personally, I find it unwise to import racism and victim ideology from south of the border when we'd be better served addressing those issues as they affect us in our culture. Maybe then we could find a reasonable solution that is mutually beneficial and inclusive rather than divisive regarding the multitude of problems associated with the reservation system and slow progress in land claims between governments and native bands.

EDIT: Thanks for the correction Eezzee.

*-Thanks to everyone for their contributions. As some have noted, this thread is starting to eat its own tail, so for the sake of keeping tempers even and moving along to new topics of interest, let's let this one go. Thread closed.<- TheMadFiddler-*
