My two cents:
Dancing is so much more about having fun, and finding that "magic" that works for you and the person you are dancing with. It doesn't matter how it looks to others, or how fancy the dance is. What matters to me is whether the lady enjoyed the dance. That, in my opinion, is the measure of a great dance.
