Sandee. How often have you sang in public? I've been singing, off and on, since I was 20..that's like 8 years.

I can tell you, the first time I sang...I sounded just like you....probably much worse...

I was terrified the first time I sang...barely any sound came out of my mouth, though I felt like I was screaming at the top of my lungs...my whole body shaking....

What you did Saturday was a beginning....you should keep singing karaoke! Each time you do, you'll get better and better!

Believe me, if a guy like me can win....TWICE! Then ANYONE can eventually become a decent singer! Seriously! I'm not kidding...I have never thought I could sing...and I've never forgotten the first few times I sang...the weakness, the adrenaline, the total and utter chaos running through my brain as I fumbled to convert what was on the screen to sounds that the audience could both hear AND understand....

Poet: I had practiced what I thought was the perfect song for the evening: "Friends" by Bette Midler (my alter ego) but when someone mentioned Pink's "Get This Party Started" my party attitude outweighed my better judgment and I tried to sing that song! THEN....the second time, well....I don't know why I picked that song (Born to Be Blue) except it seems to sum up my life at this time!!!!
Next time....I'll sing what I know!!!!

Sir Poet: Even though she had a death in her family and a funeral to attend, Pam started the picture thread the very next day and pictures have been posted throughout the week.
