| what puts a smile on your face? Posted: 10/5/2004 12:47:35 PM | gentle kiss from a great guy, romantic walks with a great guy, spending time with my children and them thinking that I know all things... safety of thier unconditional love, clear day with a gently breeze, a sunny day after a really crappy day... joy comes in the morning, the kind word from a stranger, a great smile from an admirer, laugh of children, music that soothes my soul.., soft caressing of a great guy, friend who calls just because, a friend who trusts you because you're a good friend, a hug from mom, sister, brother and friend.. helping someone just because they were there.., being a good listener, being listened to, fresh winter day when the snow is just hanging of everything, rainy day knowing it is cleaning everything, someone laughing and having a great day!! perspective is everything... | |

Cheers Buddy! | |

| what puts a smile on your face? Posted: 10/11/2004 7:18:45 PM | Watching a child play with his dog.
A nice big bass on the end of my line.
Waking up to a flower on my pillow.
Helping an elderly person across the street.
Watching bread bake in the oven.
Eating the first snow pea from the garden.
Hearing my cat holler from the yard because he's tangled his leash on the bush again.

| what puts a smile on your face? Posted: 1/10/2005 1:51:21 AM | Reading these posts - feeling as though I know so many of you -
Wishing I could replace my ex without having to go through all this "healing" bullsh*t - like she did - jump ship to another relationship without her feet hitting the ground! I kinda admire that :) how some people can just walk past lifes difficulties without any sign of humanity! I landed face-first in the mud - She remarried before I knew it was truly over! I don't see her 'hurting'. guess I'm just a softee...
Reading other posts where people feel they've had it bad and smiling to myself thinking - dude - if you only knew the hell I've been though - then the smile fades and I feel like a total shmuck for having been a bigger fool than any one of you guys... My friends console me by telling me "cheer-up, you used to be a f*cking idiot, now you are just an idiot" Sam

| what puts a smile on your face? Posted: 1/10/2005 5:44:51 AM | | I smile when I have to. It is necessary to maintain the peace, and get along with the public. Inside, I have a lot of grief. But I cover it. Many do that in here, while we endure days of sadness and quiet desperation. | |
