sure, the muslims would like to see the jews pushed into the sea, wouldnt they?

tell me, if the arabs got israel back, what do you think they would do with it?

become the worlds largest armed camp?

do you think the world's problems would be over if we hand israel over to the arabs like obama probably would do?

sure, they would just leave the world alone, just like when hitler wanted the sudentenland. just a little more "lebensraum", just a little more living space, right?

Of course Pres. Bush has made mistakes, but what other choice did we have then to elect him?
Um, maybe elect a candidate with better Commander In Chief skills? Gore and Kerry actually went to Vietnam; GWB on the other hand at the same time was having less than memorable experiences with cocaine in an Alabama National Guard unit.

Gore and Kerry actually went to Vietnam;
Kerry, is that before he lied to Congress about what his men did in Vietnam? Like I said, what other choice was there besides Bush?

Glad it worked out so well for all of you then.

Had you elected Kerry, you might have been still stuck in Iraq, with large and growing economic problems, and with gas prices sky high.

Look at the bullet you just missed by electing Bush over him. Coulda been a lot worse.....

In a particularly sharp blast from halfway around the world, President Bush suggested Thursday that Sen. Barack Obama and other Democrats are in favor of "appeasement" of terrorists in the same way U.S. leaders appeased Nazis in the run-up to World War II.

"Some seem to believe we should negotiate with terrorists and radicals, as if some ingenious argument will persuade them they have been wrong all along," said Bush, in what White House aides privately acknowledged was a reference to calls by Obama and other Democrats for the U.S. president to sit down for talks with leaders like Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Yes and I applauded Bush for telling it like it is.
Oh it's so interesting how Obama and Hillary go on and on about how Bush ruined the country and he is pro war but people seem to think that the answer is to pull out the troops and suddenly this nation will be all fine and dandy and everyone can go about their merry little way. Bush is making it clear that to pull the troops out IS trying to appease the school bully so to speak. This president has done a AMAZING job in his efforts in defending this country and he continues to do the best he can all the way until his term is up. You don't try to make "nice nice" with people who will continue to attack this country.

Bottom line is, Bush is a president who I admire and someone who has done a outstanding job in his effort to defend this country. I don't see what the big deal is, Bush just told the truth, plain and simple.

^^^ Absolutely. Under a less competent leader like Gore, we probably would have been heavily attacked by suicidal terrorists, involved in a costly wild goose chase of an invasion in response, increased government bureaucracy and spending, topped off by a dropping dollar and a slowing economy. That would have sucked!

Nothing that this self-important pin-headed moron does surprises me. But he is inconsequential. The person to worry about is his master,****Cheney, the man who has been the shadow president for seven yrs.

I would have rather had Roseanne Barr. A chimpanzee would have been better. It was amazing how successful the far right propaganda/slander/trash machine was against John Kerry. What a shame.

Kerry, is that before he lied to Congress about what his men did in Vietnam?
I wonder what lies GWB would come up with in Congress if he were asked how much coke went up his nose in Alabama while Kerry and Gore were slogging through rice paddies.

Oh it's so interesting how Obama and Hillary go on and on about how Bush ruined the country and he is pro war but people seem to think that the answer is to pull out the troops and suddenly this nation will be all fine and dandy and everyone can go about their merry little way.
Incorrect. Bush's inept policies have put the US at a disadvantage, one they would not be in if troops, money, lives, resources weren't being needly committed to fighting terrorism in Iraq instead of solving the situation in Afghanistan and in the Pakistani hinterlands first. That should have been GWB's policy in March 2003. Obviously Iraq is a collossal blunder. What should be done to undo it? Remove the troops and let the indigenous people sort out their affairs for themselves. How best is this done? Gradual pullbacks; the plan not necessarily announced publically to tip off the enemy.

This president has done a AMAZING job in his efforts in defending this country
If that were the case there wouldn't be National Guard troops stationed in Iraq, they would be stationed with in the National borders Guarding the nation. If the US did indeed wish to put 150k+ lives on the line in a foreign country, it should have been planned out more in advance and with military regulars trained for combat. Not with state National Guard units. Where was the Louisiana National Guard during Hurricane Katrina? The bulk of them were in Iraq fighting GWB's international terrorism war instead of providing protection and relief to national citizens. GWB's response to the Katrina disaster certainly cannot be classified as "AMAZING". That's utterly absurd.

You don't try to make "nice nice" with people who will continue to attack this country.
Right. That's why the US ought to be concentrating on finding and destroying Al Qaeda cells and Bin Laden. Oh wait a minute, let's disrupt a tyranny and lay the country in chaos so that terror cells will have more chaotic area in which to operate. That makes sense.

A quite interesting article on the "Appeaser-In-Chief" .

Here is the reality. Iran has an economy the size of Finland's and an annual defense budget of around $4.8 billion. It has not invaded a country since the late 18th century. The United States has a GDP that is 68 times larger and defense expenditures that are 110 times greater. Israel and every Arab country (except Syria and Iraq) are quietly or actively allied against Iran. And yet we are to believe that Tehran is about to overturn the international system and replace it with an Islamo-fascist order? What planet are we on?

One of the bizarre twists of the current Iran hysteria is that conservatives have become surprisingly charitable about two of history's greatest mass murderers.

If I had to choose whom to describe as a madman, North Korea's Kim Jong Il or Ahmadinejad, I do not think there is really any contest. A decade ago Kim Jong Il allowed a famine to kill 2 million of his own people, forcing the others to survive by eating grass, while he imported gallons of expensive French wine. He has sold nuclear technology to other rogue states and threatened his neighbors with test-firings of rockets and missiles. Yet the United States will be participating in international relief efforts to Pyongyang worth billions of dollars.

The one time we seriously negotiated with Tehran was in the closing days of the war in Afghanistan, in order to create a new political order in the country. Bush's representative to the Bonn conference, James Dobbins, says that "the Iranians were very professional, straightforward, reliable and helpful. They were also critical to our success. They persuaded the Northern Alliance to make the final concessions that we asked for." Dobbins says the Iranians made overtures to have better relations with the United States through him and others in 2001 and later, but got no reply. Even after the Axis of Evil speech, he recalls, they offered to cooperate in Afghanistan. Dobbins took the proposal to a principals meeting in Washington only to have it met with dead silence. The then Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, he says, "looked down and rustled his papers." No reply was ever sent back to the Iranians. Why bother? They're mad.

So you can "appease some", but not appease others. And the worst part ? The one's your President is "appeasing" now are far worse in scope than some others.
