There is so much lost, tragedy and missed opportunities, then there are those fatal missives that grace the pages in such a way that you shiver when you realise that delicate beauty in the meanings and feelings is even a second too late, because by the time the letter reaches you the moment has passed...

The perfect letter then could be one that reaches the recipient and the emotions where perfect remain unchanged...

I really wanted to turn up the romance, so I put months of time and effort into this one. I really wanted to make Valentine's Day special. What followed was a slap across the face, a divorce, and a permanent restraining order. Man, I'll never understand chicks.

Dear woman,

I knew you were the one for me the very first time I gazed into your winking brown eye. It was love at first squirt.

Your hair is as soft and silky as a bucket of kittens and flows so freely and elegantly like squibs from my Uncle Hector when he's having intestinal problems.

How I long to hold you in my penis and never let you go.

I never liked tacos until I met you. Now I go out to Taco Bell at 2 in the morning and scour the menu for a pink one just because it reminds me of you.

VIVA LA VULVA!

I will love you with all of my heart always and forever until I sober up.

Until we meet again, my sweet slütmuffin,

Raphael

P.S. - You should really reconsider that ass to mouth idea I suggested.

The perfect love letter is unique unto the person in which it is addressed...and not some computer typed note either...written in hand on stationary that you picked out for him or her...words written from the heart with passion and sentiment. Delivered with flowers or her favorite scent....oh how it warms the heart and builds romance....even post it notes in the bathroom or in the lunch box or in the car etc...a simple i love you will add zip to a relationship....sincerity goes a long way.

^^^Interesting...I've received box fulls of letters from an ex of 5 years...we used to spend our summers apart so I would receive cards/letter 2-3 times a week...he would put his cologne on them...a lot of mushy words/poems...but it did not compare to that one email that I would never forget...from my experience...the medium doesn't matter nor does the simplicity of the message...it's how the message makes you feel...and that simple email with 3 simple words was probably the most romantic letter I've ever received :)

It went a little something like this...

"Today, I ate a sandwich and thought of you. The lettuce reminded me of your hair, green and listless. The tomatoes were red, like the fiery passion that we shared that night you locked your keys in your car and I threw that mailbox at it. The pepper was black, like my eye after you explained to me how throwing a mail box at your car may not have been an appropriate response to losing your keys.
There was cheese, white like your skin, I've been thinking about that.. I think you really need to try tanning... There was bacon too, it reminded me of the moments we shared between furious arguments, it brought the flavour to an otherwise bland veggie sandwich.
Finally, the bread I ate it one tasted so good I almost forgot your name, but looking down I could still see the scar where you carved it burned it into my chest with your curling iron.
What I'm really trying to say my love is that if you were here, looking at the back of my head while I ignored you to play counterstrike.. *again*... I'd share it with you without a moments hesitation.

Yours forever,
-Gareth."

That's beautiful, that memory really brings a tear to my eye.

Ps. to the above poster, were those 3 words "Full House Re-runs"?
