If I were a weaver of soft spoken words I would create a constellation in the sky Each star representing the wishes
If I could wish a wish for you I’d wish all your dreams come true It would be a wish for you alone Wish all your troubles away and gone
I’d wish your life were full of peace I’d wish for all your woes to cease I’d wish your days each full of bliss I’d wish no more would go amiss
I’d wish your skies from grey to blue I’d wish moonbeams to shine on you I’d wish for stars to guide your way I’d wish the sun to brighten your day

Your love has shown me a special corner of heaven Wherever you go as me you are leavin' Be strong Stay safe feeling loved and free Until our Angels bring you back to me.
You are my strength The courage I lack You lift me up And keep me on track You are my hope Holding my hand Helping me cope Beside me you stand
I need you by my side To lead me along this way Building me up inside Ready to handle the day For now I must go alone But with you in my heart And when my task is done And I’m free to depart
I know you’ll be there Just waiting for me When the road I must travel Will lead me to thee When at last I reach the end And see your smile Free to love you, my friend It will have been worthwhile

| LOST IN LOVE Posted: 5/21/2008 11:46:28 AM | As I lay down my head and close my eyes Drifting into the abyss of tranquil sleep My body and soul floating towards the skies My heart is light; it has no more need to weep
For my body feels the warmth of your beside me My heart feels the overwhelming love that we share My soul is filled with the joy of knowing thee Because you and I have found a gift so rare
As we carry each other on a journey of passion Side by side, holding hands, together as one Then coming to rest on a black velvet cushion Softly whispering as our journey has begun
Our hands exploring, gently caressing, so tender Lips meeting, drawing the very breath from within Bodies touching, bringing sighs of sweet surrender Silk against silk, let our coming together we begin

| LOST IN LOVE Posted: 5/22/2008 12:36:18 PM | You are everything
You're everything romance And love can comprise As I stand in your presence And gaze into your eyes.
You've defined what it is To be fully subdued And enraptured by the song In my heart, you imbued.
Just a kiss from your lips Sets my heart all aflame Where the hand of my soul Carefully carves your sweet name!
May our heavens sing Of our love so strong When our two halves are joined, And to each they belong

| Please show me the way Posted: 6/1/2008 5:37:38 PM | Come, take my hand, show me the way To a place where the sun shines all day Where babbling streams freely flow Where delicate blooms flourish and grow
Where grasses sway on a gentle breeze And blossom sprinkles from stately trees Where exists only peace and happiness And harmony, the soul to soothe and caress
Please take me I entreat you once again To that special place where there is no pain Where of pitiful sorrow there is no sign Nothing to stab and bleed this heart of mine
That place where I can feel no more hurt Where there is nothing at all to disconcert Where the only tears shed are those of joy Where nothing exists, my soul to destroy
Please take me away from all this torment To a place where my heart will lay content Find a pillow for my weary head to rest Oh please listen to my heartfelt request
For I am tired of watching this suffering life Full of grief, and pain, anger and strife Please let my soul find peace once more And heal these wounds I do thee implore

| These eyes no longer see Posted: 6/2/2008 5:50:33 PM | These eyes no longer see
These eyes have seen too much To much sorrow and pain They have seen the worst of life And things I can’t explain
They have looked upon a child And seen the tears that fall When that child battered and bruised Lay waiting for God to call
And have seen a man writhe in pain When disease his body did eat I have seen the despair deep in his eyes As he lay in anguish and defeat
I’ve seen the agony on a mother’s face When her son was taken by war I have seen the shadows of desolation To know she’d hold him no more
I have seen a woman haunted by man Seen her live in terror and fear And with blows struck to the ground Then again if she should shed a tear
These eyes have seen a man weep His beloved taken too soon Wishing to hold her just once more As he howls beneath the moon
I have seen the evils of terrorism Born of power and greed There are no winners, only losers Those left in the gutter to bleed
I have seen the destruction of war The lives of innocents lost All to save our future freedom But who will count the cost
I have seen the freaks of nature That causes a land to crumble Earthquakes, floods and tidal waves Crying, as over the dead we stumble
Yes these eyes have seen too much My sight now gone and eyes do smart Does this give me any peace not to see? No, for I still see it all clear in my heart

We Must See
Things are placed before us another wishes us to see so that we can walk through this life with a facet of self called humility to humble us on our path to appreciate not waste to think before we succumb never to act in haste I've learned to find patience to offer compassion to those who are lost for I look around at my world that is in turmoil to offer any semblance of peace I must no matter to me the cost so if my eyes should view what may forever be engrained within my mind then my belief is quite strong that these images I was truly sent to find to aid me spiritually send me out to shed others light try to banish engulfing darkness take steps to make a future bright.

On Life's Journey
I have a dream A greater man than I once said And it rings true In every book I have ever read Without a dream Nothing worthwhile was ever made But in life it seems Without a vision dreams must fade
Those Souls we meet Who touch our lives and those we touch Make our travels sweet But without clear vision we don’t amount to much This is our journey As the mysteries of life we do unravel ’tis not the destination that counts but how and why we travel.
Make your journey count Reaching out a healing hand to all you meet Lost souls are all around Searching for meaning in life on every street Some may never find The truths you in your life hold in your heart So always reach out to those whose search needs a brand new start.

| These eyes no longer see Posted: 6/4/2008 3:07:35 AM | Butterfly Wishes
Yesterday a butterfly Came floating gently through the sky. He soared up through the atmosphere Then drifted close enough to hear.
I said, "I'd love to fly with you And sail around the way you do. It looks like it would be such fun To fly up toward the summer sun.
But I have not your graceful charm. I haven't wings, just these two arms. I've been designed to walk around. My human feet must touch the ground.
Then magically he spoke to me and told me what his wish would be.
He said, "What I'd love most to do Is walk upon God's Earth with you, To squish it's mud between my toes Or touch my finger to my nose.
I'd love just once to walk around With human feet to touch the ground, But I have not two legs that swing, I haven't arms, just these two wings."
And so we went our separate ways In wonder and surprise. For we'd both seen God's precious gifts Through someone else's eyes.

...one eye penned for you last year before you came south to the Tiger's Lair
RISING ABOVE IT ALL
I can't count the times because of him your heart's been broken I have seen you hurt because of angry words he has spoken But somehow you always knew there would be another dawning Where you'd rise above it all like the sun on wings of morning I have seen the pain that brought your eyes to overflowing then I have seen that you had your own way of knowing Through it all you could still see life the way it should be Just waiting for a soul mate lover to help set you free to hold you up when you thought you'd fall so now you see you can rise above it all... A long winter slipped through spring to summer's call now the love we make will keep us rising above it all... You've found that wandering tiger to share freedom of true love One who knows that freedom you need to fly through skies above Stand tall this weekend my darling and show them it's your call Show them all that you can shake free of chains while the chips fall...

| Please show me the way Posted: 6/5/2008 4:03:45 PM | | Hi Just *smiles* I have a dilemma..delemma...a problem *hehe* I wanted to write a poem to fit in to your name on here, but Im not sure what serendipity is. The meaning is elusive to me. Im still puzzling it out, but will do my best to leave something that lives up to the theme as soon as I get a good hold on it. God bless | |

| I have a dilemma..delemma...a problem *hehe* Posted: 6/5/2008 5:51:27 PM | Serendipity is the effect by which one accidentally discovers something fortunate, especially while looking for something else entirely. The word has been voted as one of the ten English words that were hardest to translate in June 2004 by a British translation company.[citation needed] However, due to its sociological use, the word has been imported into many other languages (Portuguese serendipicidade or serendipidade; French sérendipicité or sérendipité but also heureux hasard, "fortunate chance"; Spanish serendipia; Italian serendipità; Dutch serendipiteit; German Serendipität; Swedish, Danish and Norwegian serendipitet; Romanian serendipitate).
...and my SO says I'm impossible to translate ...

| I have a dilemma..delemma...a problem *hehe* Posted: 6/5/2008 7:51:31 PM | Serendipity In general, serendipity is the act of finding something valuable or delightful when you are not looking for it. In information technology, serendipity often plays a part in the recognition of a new product need or in solving a design problem. Web surfing can be an occasion for serendipity since you sometimes come across a valuable or interesting site when you are looking for something else.
The term was coined by English writer Horace Walpole on January 28, 1754, in a letter written to Horace Mann. He credited it to a "silly fairy tale" he once read called 'The Three Princes of Serendip'.
According to the fairy tale, three Persian princes sailed off to make their fortunes in the "land of silk", an island called Serendip . (Today, the island is known as Sri Lanka.) Along the way, the princes made all types of wondrous and delightful discoveries about the island, and learned things they never expected. One such learning was purported to be the discovery that a mule blind in its right eye had recently traveled the same road. This was discovered when they noticed that the grass had been eaten only on the left side of the road.
The term is also sometimes used to mean "the randomness of fate," as in "whatever happens to cross my desk today."
Quotations on serendipity
* "In the field of observation, chance favours only the prepared mind." Louis Pasteur
* "I find that a great part of the information I have was acquired by looking up something and finding something else on the way." (Franklin P. Adams, 1881-1960)
* "Serendipity. Look for something, find something else, and realize that what you've found is more suited to your needs than what you thought you were looking for." Lawrence Block * "Serendipity is looking in a haystack for a needle and discovering a farmer's daughter." Pek van Andel * "Serendipity is putting a quarter in the gumball machine and having three pieces come rattling out instead of one—all red." Peter H. Reynolds * "--- you don't reach Serendib by plotting a course for it. You have to set out in good faith for elsewhere and lose your bearings ... serendipitously." John Barth, The Last Voyage of Somebody the Sailor * "Serendipity is the art of making an unsought finding." Pek van Andel (1994) • "Serendipity is the faculty of finding things we did not know you were looking for." Glauco Ortolano (2008)
And my SO says he was in the haystack looking for the farmers wife when he found me

| Sea Song Posted: 6/7/2008 12:24:02 AM | Sea Song
Your unique sea song makes me wonder Cresting waves embraced by thunder As it roars and soars across the plains Steadily counting our losses and gains
We give it all, each day at dawns light We do not fade under the spell of night Shadows cannot lay us low nor subdue Sunlight always rises to pull us through
Even when darkness falls, bringing pain We pick ourselves up and start over again. Searching for light and more understanding Lessons teach that us truth is undemanding
We peruse the starlit skies as they climb Gaze upon the beauty of night sublime And see it’s all a part of this infinite plan That fate bestowed when our life began
Do the best we can and give it our all And patiently listen for that vital call We each have a place where we belong. So carry on singing your unique sea song

| Found not Lost Posted: 6/7/2008 7:00:09 PM | I didn't find what I was looking for the day that I found you you walked into my life when I wasn't looking it's true
some things we find we don't expect which makes it kind of hard to see how could I find someone like us when I wasn't even looking for me
I had to close my searching eyes to see what I couldnt behold to win your love I had to be weak when I had always been bold
I had to close the door to my heart for you to step inside I had to stop my seeking to see where you did hide
so now I face a problem I'm not sure what to do what will we tell our children when they ask just who caught who?

| Found not Lost Posted: 6/8/2008 3:42:07 AM | I just love it whyspr, it's fantastic and I just love the twist in the last verse. You have done me proud
Came across a photo of a body builder which inspired this one. Had too many rippling muscles for my taste though
My Gentle Lover
Majestically you stand before me Sure and proud in all your naked glory Sun kissed body, glistening gold Caped in magnetism, beckoning and bold
Bronzed chest, mighty with energy Hercules personified, raging potency Rippling muscles like shivering sands An intensity of strength in your hands
A body that exudes infinite power A torso like an inviolable tower Long, lean, virile muscular thighs A vision to stir my rebellious eyes
But yet when those arms enfold me Caress my body, slowly, tenderly With such warm, loving embrace Trailing sweet kisses across my face
And you softly whisper in my ear The words of love I long to hear With feathery touches upon my skin Gazing with eyes in reverent longing
You lay beside me on silken down And cover me with your golden gown And it is with delight that I discover My strong ‘he man’ is a gentle lover
