| Not found...Not lost... Posted: 6/8/2008 9:40:38 AM | Still I continue to search my soul reasons for my being here and now Moments of pleasure are few as of late yet my heart holds out cause she can wait! Sometimes we search for someone or something Finding that what we really only need to be ...just is! I know of the pleasure of a heart with one beside it I now know of what it is to be alone with myself I am still kind of searching but not for an outsider searching inside for the ways to make my world brighter! If we cannot be happy within our own shell how then could we bring another in as well? So simply and honestly I say with a grin I will travel this road to the place I... begin! | |

| found...Not lost... Posted: 6/9/2008 3:14:54 AM | We spend our lives searching for a love true We search far and wide looking for a clue We search world wide looking for our fate We wonder if this is it with each and every date
We search high and low but nothing seems quite right We sometime think we found it beneath a starry night But in the light of day we find it wasn’t meant to be We look into the crystal ball and hoping we will see
We go to all the right places and on dating sites We think we see our love in dreams on lonely nights We don’t give up looking though we think it’s in vain We search all around us and then we start over again
We wonder if we’ll ever find love true and real Maybe we were not meant hope, love and feel We look far and wide to find a love that glows Then we find that love was here under our very nose

| Perfection Posted: 6/25/2008 10:24:24 PM | Today I wondered along the shore The wind blew loud and furiously I watched as waves crashed with a roar And a seagull spied me curiously Then looking down towards my feet I found a stone rounded to perfection So smoothly refined and sleekly neat And it came to me upon reflection That this perfection of cold stone grey Was made so by the onslaught of sea Tossed, battered and chipped away Till it’s edges were worn and scar free And so much like life now I can see Beaten and blown this way and that But will perfection ever come to me Will my life ever be smooth and pat Will the rough edges ever wear down? So that only peace will exist for I Lover and joy and without a frown Will I life be perfect… before I die . | |

Seek Not Perfection
Seeking perfection can be somewhat of a lonely road for heavy becomes a heart as one carries this burdensome load when we can find that place where we are simply happy with who we are release all past mistakes let healing be done to internal scars than such joy shall fill us to overflowing where perfection no longer we need to find for inside we have become healthy found peace of mind if one continues to search for that perfection state I believe they will always feel lost in this shuffle of life putting upon themselves truly unnecessary strife acceptance of self is crucial it is then we find that peaceful place where no longer do we feel that through this life we must race.

| Perfection Posted: 6/27/2008 8:43:37 PM | Perfection is the deep red rose bloom, Attached to a long stem, That has healthy, green glossy leaves.
Perfection is a beautiful rainbow, Forming a bright colourful arc, Viewed through shimmering rain drops.
Perfection is twinkling stars, Glittering in a dark velvet sky, On a cold winter night.
Perfection is a state of peace, Feelings of joy and goodwill, Expresssed in a warm smile.

Lover and joy and without a frown Will I life be perfect… before I die
Striving for excellence motivates you; striving for perfection is demoralizing. ~Harriet Braiker
Certain flaws are necessary for the whole. It would seem strange if old friends lacked certain quirks. ~Goethe
No one is perfect... that's why pencils have erasers. ~Author Unknown
Sometimes... when you hold out for everything, you walk away with nothing. ~From the television show Ally McBeal
Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best. ~Henry van Dyke
Gold cannot be pure, and people cannot be perfect. ~Chinese Proverb
Better a diamond with a flaw than a pebble without. ~Confucius, Analects
The most difficult part of attaining perfection is finding something to do for an encore. ~Author Unknown
When you aim for perfection, you discover it's a moving target. ~George Fisher
Once you accept the fact that you're not perfect, then you develop some confidence. ~Rosalynn Carter

No One Knows where I've been No One Knows what I've seen No One Knows who's on my screen No One Knows who's my in between No One Knows how I play my cards No One Knows me like other bards No One Knows the whole nine yards No One Knows lonely boulevards No One Knows it's not what it seems No One Knows early morning screams No One Knows how I play these themes No One Knows these are just my dreams JR
You see, when weaving a blanket, an Indian woman leaves a flaw in the weaving of that blanket to let the soul out. ~Martha Graham
Congratulations! You're not perfect! It's ridiculous to want to be perfect anyway. But then, everybody's ridiculous sometimes, except perfect people. You know what perfect is? Perfect is not eating or drinking or talking or moving a muscle or making even the teensiest mistake. Perfect is never doing anything wrong - which means never doing anything at all. Perfect is boring! So you're not perfect! Wonderful! Have fun! Eat things that give you bad breath! Trip over your own shoelaces! Laugh! Let somebody else laugh at you! Perfect people never do any of those things. All they do is sit around and sip weak tea and think about how perfect they are. But they're really not one-hundred-percent perfect anyway. You should see them when they get the hiccups! Phooey! Who needs 'em? You can drink pickle juice and imitate gorillas and do silly dances and sing stupid songs and wear funny hats and be as imperfect as you please and still be a good person. Good people are hard to find nowadays. And they're a lot more fun than perfect people any day of the week. ~Stephen Manes, Be a Perfect Person in Just Three Days!

Beautiful words HotDuke. Thank you for your contribution, I hope you will post some more of your writes in here.
I stare at the ocean, depressed and alone Full of self doubts, thinking of the unknown That darkly surrounds me each carbon-like day And paints my life with brushes of grey.
My hand falls to my side and you’re sitting there. You’re always besides me and I’ve been unaware That no matter what happens your love is true. I’ve never known someone as faithful as you.

| Perfection Posted: 6/28/2008 6:12:56 PM | Genegem you read me wrong
I do not seek to be perfect That would be too hard to achieve It is not my being on which I reflect For you must accept me as I am
But a tranquil life would not go amiss Time to gather my soul and let it rest For I do not seek such perfect bliss Just calmer waters to catch my breath

The Friend Who Just Stands By
When troubles come your soul to try, You love the friend who just stands by. Perhaps there's nothing she can do, The thing is strictly up to you.
For these are troubles all your own, And paths the soul must tread alone. Times when love can't smooth the road, Nor friendship lift the heavy load.
But just to feel you have a friend, Who will stand by until the end. Whose sympathy through all endures, Whose warm handclasp is always yours.
It helps somehow to pull you through, Although there's nothing she can do. And so with fervent heart we cry, God Bless the friend who just stands by.

| Visiting My Mind Posted: 6/28/2008 6:26:23 PM | Visiting My Mind
Reactive as some minds can be, this lively one belonged to me; It quickly tried to analyze the wherefores, who's and whats and why's.
Before the facts were tallied in, my world was in a frenzied spin. Just trying to focus on one thought, brought on a long and fierce onslaught!
Speed readers never worked THIS fast, I saw ALL chapters, first to last! I snuck inside, one busy night to see why it was wound so tight;
like popping up an auto's hood to see if I might do some good, I planned to slip inside, unseen in hopes of turning it serene.
With boring thoughts as my disguise, I made it past my mind's wide eyes! I used my new subconscious probes and took a detour past the lobes.
While brushing cobwebs from my past, I knew I'd found the place at last! There slept the guard, while on patrol as thoughts escaped the main control!
By waking up that sleeping clown, the rapid thinking settled down! The mind, no longer wound so tight, I left the place and bid "gggooooddd-nnnnniiiggghhhhtt"......

Thank you naive I very much appreciate that you take the time to read. Your words are encouraging
When the dream weaver descends He’ll weave me a magical illusion Where both body and mind transcends To a place empty of hurt and confusion
I’ll gaze upon sunset’s ethereal gleam And roam the garden free, among the blooms Sunlight shimmering across a glistening stream I breathe in the blossom’s fragrant perfumes
Discover beauty never noticed before A serene retreat of restful peace and calm As I feel my spirit take flight and soar Drawn into its wondrous aesthetic balm
Surely, in such a place The heart finds renewal The soul feels new hope

| Autumn Posted: 6/29/2008 1:31:12 PM | Bless the Autumn beauty Of cold, bone - bit brezze. The early lamplight duty pierces the dark of streets.
Looking up to distant stars That deid a long time ago, with precious little knowledge you can still see them glow.
Orange river of leaves beneath the skeletal nudity. It is only the seasons disrobing them of their dignity.
A spoonful of wind For a broken umbrella A puddle of rain for proof of your clothes.
It follows you forward with age in hand, reflections through wet windows, time is in your plans.

Perspective Gained
At times life becomes such a monolopy of frustrating emotions that brings strife our world is spinning this way and that we step back in retreat from this life in hopes of gaining perspective through silence with introvertion this is found days may turn into months passing until again beneath our feet we can appreciate solid ground when witness do we again a calling bird from a tree our eyes which were foggy now again see a welcoming light find have we that place of serenity our world most profoundly spins right time alone is needed perspective in life is crucial to co-exist on this human plane insight into oneself is truly monumental in resuming into a healthy participant in this life's game.
At times life is overwhelming , lost we seem to be, yet I can assure you that balance again be found if we look inside to see.
