My younger coworkers tell me all the time that I neither seem nor look my age. I don't think they mean any harm from it at all. | |

I also have good genetics myself, so I feel very blessed that I most people think i'm in my early 30's. Trust me..if someone were to guess my age to be 40 plus, I would then feel insulted! lol

Nope, everytime it happens to me, I take it as a compliment. That said, however, it can get a tad annoying for me when I'm the only one carded out of a group of friends over and over again. | |

There is one store where I go on occasion to buy a pack of ciggies and I have been asked for my ID a few times. Granted, when my hair is done and my make-up on, I do look a lot younger than my age but, even at that, I do not look like 25 years of age they are required to ask for ID. I think they just want to find out what my name is! LOL
I think it is flattering and very complimentary! | |

I used to get told I looked young, until people realised I wouldn't come good on the fifty bucks I promised them to say so. | |

Younger guys I meet in public are the most shocked at my age and their rebound could seem a little -- huh ?? OP is this more of what you are experiencing ?? If so, it is more than likely the person is a little embrassed about what they were thinking and trying to cover ........
What I don't get is why so many people (not online of course) ask me four-five questions. It seems not to matter what gender they are.
How old are you ??
How tall are you ??
How much do you weigh ??
What do you do for a living ?? So many times followed up by (let me try and guess your rough income) an income question ......
What is this about ??? Four of these 5 questions I was taught from a child not to ask along with a few other old standards. These questions are just continually being asked one after another truly on some days makes me wonder why they don't throw in, 'What gender are you ??' just for good measure ..........

Lots! I got asked my dress size last night on here, and then the age Q, then how old are my kids....
And Lifeis, It's mostly when I tell ppl (who ask) how old my kids are there like your kidding no way.. Like am lying.. thats what started this whole thread | |

I don't see it as an insult. However, people don't usually tell me how old they think I am unless I ask before telling my age in person.
