But yes, it's to the point where they start to argue with me or want ID, and I have had mostly 20somethings after me in the past. I think it's partly how I dress and when I was in my twenties I dressed horribly, too dowdy and dark lipstick on my pale face. All wrong.lol But I eventually learned how to dress myself, and love the compliments too! It's nice to know I might be doing something right ;)

Posted: 5/31/2008 1:40:30 AM | It can be a pain! Take it for what it is. My mother was injured recently and I had to go get her weekly lottery ticket and the guy behind the counter made me go get my ID and then apologized and told me that he really didn't think I was going to give him one.
It can be a bad thing if you are 28 and look 18. I suppose I will like it when I am 50 and look 35 , but for now it can be an issue. I have been told that I am too young to take seriously buy guys younger than I am.
OP: It looks like you are trying to dress younger from your pics. If it really bothers you then try updating your look a little. That said, I understand the trouble of the baby face! I don't think that the dimples help my case either! Just be glad that you are not getting hit on by boys that are not old enough to drive (more than one recently)...it is a bit awkward regardless of how tactful I try to be. | |

No, not at all. I was more referring to the hat and super short sleeve shirt. That style just is more indicative of the younger generation, IMO. No one should wear white socks with sandals or granny anything! Flowery dresses, on the other hand, I love :). | |

Posted: 6/4/2008 3:22:11 AM | Never see it as an insult! It happens to me all the time (I'm 34 and, according to most, look in my 20's). Revel in the knowledge that you'll look 40 when you're in your 50's and 50 when you're in your 60's!
Now... i must say, though, that the one draw back has been that people have accused me of lying about my age. But then... why would I want to do that? | |

What is NOT a compliment is these young early-20s guys who hit on you and tell you all about how they love "older women". Uh...piece of advice - don't call someone you're hitting on, "older" LOL. Big turn-off, even if I were into that age group. What is very sexy is a guy in my dating age range (my age or slightly younger) who thinks I'm attractive knowing my age and who thinks it's hot that I look young.  | |
