Re loudness of music on the night....
No one complained or mentioned to me,the co -hosts or venue staff on the night that the music was too loud..If they had of done I would have asked for it to be turned down.....
I would however like to remind everyone that the DJs are members like everyone else...Both these members gave up their time free of charge,to play tunes all night ...
My thanks once again to Specoid for the pics and to both DJs who kept everyone on the dance floor all night!

Ok i'm late but i'm here now.
Thank you to you all for making this yet another great night out.
Misty,Ladyloul and Sandfairy deserve the clap......sorry a big clap,as the hostesses with the mostesses.....and of course me.... the super sub.And not to forget(and who can?scrambled egg was great,sorry about the bacon)the lovely Blueskies with a little help from Hipichick for making the pre-meet members welcome and relaxed.
Thanks to the DJ dudes for getting everyone on there feet and dancing around there hand bags in true 80s style.....thanks for giving up your time guys.
Thanks to Warren for doing the photos at short notice...welcome anytime mate...you got a Toga?
There are so many people to say hi too but i'm getting on a bit and i've forgot

Posted: 5/19/2008 2:26:18 PM | Everyone sounds like that had a fab time, hoping to get back into the swing of these meets but have been unable to attend due to other commitments!
The music is always loud at the London meets, part of 'the london meet culture', if it is not to everyones preference, then maybe one of the sunday lunch meets would better suit. There are quiet areas at corks where you are perfectly able to have a conversation - you just have to step off the dancefloor to get there (pool area).
Like misty says, no one requested the music to be turned down - which she would have asked the DJs to do had it been requested.
I know the DJs well and I think it is impolite of people to critise their music. There are two DJs to ensure variety (spice of life???) and to try and cater for more than one persons taste. Please also remember that these guys do it for free!!!!!
You can please some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can't please all of the people all of the time.

Thanks BlueSkies for coming out to Oxford Street to save Dancer and me looking like we had escaped the time tunnel off the 8o's era. I mean she looked fantastic though, loved your skirt Dancer it was big enough to hide me under it.
I hope I can go to the next one, the toga one...but what do I wear? my bed linen?? Imagine the looks this from crowds in Oxford Street

Posted: 5/19/2008 4:15:00 PM | Well I ended up at this party totally by accident. Rather sad really that I never knew it was a POF night till it was almost over, it was arranged through a friend of a friend.
But what a brill night, although my feet were propper throbbing the next day and even the day after I still had to wear my ole faithful comfy trainers.
I've never been to a meet before, but now i know what i've been missing. Everyone was so friendly an i even managed to talk to a few really nice friendly people.

That'll be 128 beats per minute then....If I played tunes at 28 bpm you'd fall asleep. Do you never listen to anything I tell you darling .

To Wilki and Blueskies - Thank you SO MUCH for organising the pre-drinks and for making all of us feel so well looked after!
925Dancer (aka my newest bff) - sorry I abandoned you at whatever point it was, but I am sure that you understand!! We WILL have a repeat performance at some point soon! (Maybe with a little less jumping around and alcohol involoved. I had troubles getting untangled from my necklaces before I went to bed!)
To all of the other lovely ladies, and the one gent at the pre-drinks, it was nice to have people around that I was in the same boat with!
And finally to the WONDERFUL men of music - don't let anyone tell you that you were anything other than FABULOUS!
Looking forward to the next one, though I am not too sure about the whole toga situation!
