| May Madness Photos and feedback Posted: 5/19/2008 2:29:10 PM | I would like to thank all the POF members that attended any events held at My club Quotes especially Angel and Red for their wonderful work. I read these blogs to to see what ideas or inputs people have on how to make better POF parties. Usually i would not reply to any of the negative comments BUT i feel i must. Angel wrote the turnout was small even though we had we had 65 people sign up. Replies were "People dont like Quote", "Age group is a Factor" "Jacobies is better" "We got tricked in the first one"..May i please reply to these comments. People are entitled to there opinions, BUT let us deal in Factual info. not opinions: 1. "Jacobies is better"- I place softball for Jacobies with the owner. Jacobies is a great bar BUT Fact of the matter is southtowns typically have a better draw because downtown has a "bad" rap and you have to pay for parking. BUT i read that you dont receive your first drink free like you do at Quotes. So free drink or free parking.
2. "Age group is a factor" -well seeing that the only people in the bar from 7-11 is POF members i dont understand that comment. Music was specially caterered for the party till 11pm just like Jacobies does and they play top 20 dance hits at 11pm like us, BUT Jacobies is a"URBAN" bar on sat night. NO-ONE stays there after. I have POF members stay till 12 -1pm.
3."We got tricked on the first one " -so defination of tricked is a free drink and free food and discounted parking?? Please trick me to a party like that. As stated after the first one i have no control of the parking lot. I talked to the guy and he said he would charge $5.00 to POF members.Well he did for some and others charged full price. That was up to him. I went out of my way to save some members some money on parking. THE TRUE FACT: I base these facts on the parties that have been held at my downtown bar. 40% of the people that attended these parties have their FREE drink and FREE food then leave. 50% actually spend money. 10% dont drink at all. It is amazing how everyone wants something for nothing and get it and still complain.
The TRUE FACT of the matter is i handed out 32 free drinks, spent $140.00 on food. Paid for a dj, 4 bartenders and 1 bouncer and lost money on the event. FACT is the bartenders made $ 19.00 a piece in tips from 7-10pm shift . These are the facts!!! Not opinions.. Thank You, Patrick Sullivan- owner Quote nightclub

| May Madness Photos and feedback Posted: 5/19/2008 2:41:40 PM | when i went dowtown a hand full of times about five years ago it was mostly a younger crowd Typically that might be true. However, the reason for the early party was that we had THE RUN of the club. Our usual turn-out is 30 to 5o something age group and my events USUALLY get 100 to 150 average. Quote's regular business didn't even begin to arrive until our party was ready to leave and they were accommodating enough to get us a lower rate on the parking, in addition to food and a complimentary drink.
Pat, again, I would like to thank you for having us. You have been a class act all the way.

| May Madness Photos and feedback Posted: 5/19/2008 3:22:45 PM | | Soozie, my comment was not directed at your friend Dan or anybody in particular, and no there's absolutely no guilt here. Hope I can offer you a "friendly hello" at the next event. It was merely a statement that there are new members that read these wondering if they'd like to attend, and the talk is concerning turnout for the event. I recall conversation on here that suggested some members were pigs, which ended ok in apologies, but it still happened. Hey, I'm a friendly guy here and have been to several of these now, in the city, southtowns and the falls, and have had a good time at all. Sorry if my comment disturbed anybody, ... I'll remain "lightned up". Sully, think you were a very generous host, your club's a class place - I had a good time despite the small turnout. | |

| May Madness Photos and feedback Posted: 5/19/2008 3:55:25 PM | Sully, you know I have attended all the events at Quote, have had free drinks, five dollar parking, free food, and great music.....never had any problems at all! I think you have gone out of your way to please us , and we do appreciate it. If there are more events at Quote, I'll be there...and if not....I will frequent your place anyway...because of you....I agree with John....your a generous and classy guy! Thanks for everything! | |

| May Madness Photos and feedback Posted: 5/19/2008 4:19:45 PM | Kudos to Sully and Angel. I have attended all but one Quote party, and that one I was snowed-in. I don't stay too late, (3-4 drinks) but that's just me. I love the crowd that shows up to these things, and Sully and his staff have been nothing short of perfect. Plus, that young Brooke is adorable. I was not too big on Pour Boys, but I did like Slick Willie's (I love to play pool). For what it's worth, I will ALWAYS attend Sully's soirees if possible. Maybe he should just NOT supply food. There are plenty of food spots nearby, and I personally attend because it's a "SINGLES" party, not a restaurant. For what it's worth, Sully, I hope we can do it again. You can't please everyone, but yours is the only Chippewa bar I enjoy. | |

there are new members that read these wondering if they'd like to attend Exactly my point - it tends to give an unfair and biased representation. Everyone that attended seemed to have a marvelous time , as seen in the above photos. I would like to believe that the adults who read these blurbs are intelligent enough to separate the dross from the gold.

| May Madness Photos and feedback Posted: 5/22/2008 11:04:11 AM | | And for your comment kids dad4ever I was only asking who she was,I'm not trying to marry her.My god people what is wrong with you. Can't someone just like to meet someone for friendship. Thanks to you kidsdad, she now probably thinks we are a bunch of old perverts just trying to get in her pants. You talk about what people say in here, maybe you should listen to your self.I met alot great people on fish doesn't mean I'm screwing them. Some have became close friends, and maybe she likes older guys and just doesn't like you. Get a grip people these parties are suppose to be fun. Maybe all you forum people need to start acting your age and not your shoe size. Its not always about sex, aleast not with me. And while I'm at it,I have attended every party since I join in feb.,except for this last one. I met alot of great people that I hang out with, guys and girls and there all not my age. Some are older and some are younger. We have fun, we do things together.Thats what friends do.Everybody lets stop trying to cut each others throat, grow the **** up. | |

| May Madness Photos and feedback Posted: 5/22/2008 11:16:00 AM | | Kidsdad if you read the comment about the pigs you would have seen that it referred to myself and my buddy Dan and was stated as a joke. You see thats the trouble with people, they think its always about them. Another example of why problems get started. It's time to use this forum for what the purpose of why it's here and not to down grade someone. Then maybe no one will have to say I sorry for no reason other then to make peace. Now with that said lets do the right thing people. | |

| May Madness Photos and feedback Posted: 5/22/2008 3:20:52 PM | | Dave, I did acknowledge the apology, and I knew what you meant by it, it was others that took offense. This whole thing got blown way out of proportion in the context that my comment was made. I thought the whole thing was already dropped! It's been two days since anyone referred to it. I agree with your comment on the use of this forum. All I know is I went, I had a good time, and think most of the people that did go had a good time. Most of this talk in this forum seems to be by people that weren't even there ... ????? | |

| May Madness Photos and feedback Posted: 5/22/2008 9:01:37 PM | I see a few comments made about buying "bobs" and eating cake off of people and the like, and then when a vulgar comment comes through, it gets taken offensively? I'm sorry but comments like that just invite the vulgarity. If women don't want men to talk dirty to them, they should keep their conversations a bit cleaner....just saying. | |
|
| May Madness Photos and feedback Posted: 5/23/2008 5:09:56 AM | | hey, I think it's time we all get onto different subject matter here. My apologies for ever entering into conversation on this forum. Lets's stop throwing logs on the fire! | |

| May Madness Photos and feedback Posted: 5/23/2008 7:15:47 AM | | Patty...you are thinking of the posting for the PJ party at Jacobi's in July with the adult toy party... We are all just having fun on this site. I do type stuff that is all just flirtingly fun. However, there was this guy that went way over the line...two guys infact...that attacked our members. That was uncalled for! There are parts to the convo that were erased by Bonnie in that forum...a few others found this persons posting vulgar...this guy went over the line and had a few of us scared to attend the events. Hope this clears this up. | |

| May Madness Photos and feedback Posted: 5/24/2008 2:11:23 PM | Enjoyed reading this forum. But you guys up there in the north need to lighten up just a bit. This is all supposed to be fun. Can someone tell me the screen name of that blonde in the photos. The one in the black and white top. She seems familiar to me. | |

| May Madness Photos and feedback Posted: 6/1/2008 12:39:43 AM | Ok lilwild. Maybe that's where I came across you somewhere. I'm an original Islander, and as you know this place isn't all that big. So, maybe we crossed paths somewhere. You really did look familiar to me. Even if it did sound like a line. | |
