I guess Eric (owner) decided it would be better for business, to bring in different bands every weekend. I don't know about the rest of you? But I'm sad to see them go. I found out today when the manager of the Rockers came by my work.  | |

Posted: 5/29/2008 1:40:40 AM | Many years back, J. Dubs did that same exact thing. Instead of having the Midnight Rockers be the house band, they started bringing in other bands. When those bands failed to excite the crowd, the Rockers were brought back as the house band. I predict the same thing will happen again.
By the way, the guy who was sitting next to me in the pic that some of you gals wanted to meet, well, He is a POF member now. Don't know his handle though. I am trying to get him to Dubs for sat nite. | |

I know things have been really slow for Eric on some nights. Not like it used to be years ago, maybe he's just trying to get more people. Well anyways we should have an excellent crowd I have been receiving on average 10 e-mails a day about the party many of them haven't figured out how to sign up, but said they would show. And yes I know I did a poor job of posting because I didn't have the link to this form. There's always next time well all you party animals have excellent evening, I will see all Saturday....

Posted: 5/29/2008 9:54:09 PM | Darin hon, I was not saying that you did a poor job at posting by not including the aspx address in the mass email. You did an awesome job, and the mass email worked! Yay!
I was only saying that including it helps with the number of signups on the party posting thread itself. Alternately you can always respond to emails from those expressing an interest or intent to attend by giving them the aspx address at that time and asking them to go there and sign up.
Regardless of whether or not the people signup, the important thing is just that they attend. The more the merrier!!
I'm looking forward to Saturday nite! I need a night out after the tense week at work I've had.

Then for some reason the place completely changed and went after the young un's. That ran it's course, and now they are back to the old J. Dubs. The problem is the crowds that used to populate the place do not realize it went back to the Classic Rock format. I didn't know it either until I went to my first POF party there and I live a mile from the place. | |

I only have been to 1 POF get togethers and at first it was hard not knowing anyone. But no way did they allow me to be a complete wall flower. I too got the push from a POF'er and after 4 trys of saying yes I'm gonna go, then no I'm not going, to the final YES and I 'm glad I did. I hope to attend future get togethers and really get to know these nice /crazy/people more!
